  1. you both seriously missed the point of the blac chyna/ rob kardashian story. he posted nude photos of her on the internet WITHOUT her consent. he violated the law. you spent the whole time talking about how they’re only famous bc of the o.j. trial and kim’s sex tape. ya’ll really need to have more female perspectives on your show more frequently, bc you only touched on it for a few seconds, & seriously downplayed its seriousness.

  2. Cenk, I don’t believe “bless his heart” means what you think it means. Either way, it sounds like a superstitious incantation.

  3. Brett watches Big Brother!! My sister was on Big Brother!! Megan’s my sister :D you should do a story about mental health.

  4. Nick Anderson didn’t invent chocolate sniffing, he told Washington Post he heard about it happening in Europe. It was actually invented by Belgian chocola maker Dominique Persoone in 2008 as a joke gift for Ronnie Wood (Rolling Stones) and been selling it as Chocolate Shooter

  5. Devil’s advocat: Do they allow men or other gender to wear sleeveless outfits? It’s sexist to make women cover up parts of their body while men are allowed go topless f.e., correct? “Women just don’t want to go topless” wouldn’t be an excuse? So while I may have a problem with the rule overall, I’m not quite sure it’s sexist – shouldn’t clothing choices be a right regardless of gender? Men in dresses/skirts are often banned by dress codes while women are not – is that sexist? There are a lot of sexist dress codes out there that force women to wear certain things or prevent them from wearing certain outfits while men are allowed to wear similar clothing, I’m just not sure this is an example of that? The world is not as black and white as people, especially in the political realm, often make it out to be…

Ryan didn’t wear the attire in those photos on the floor, right? In fact I’ve never seen a male representative wearing anything but a suit? Would it be OK if a male representative or senator would wear the exact same outfit those women did? It’s an honest question. I never understand when people want to challenge established rules/norms and when abide by them? When it’s time to be a rebel vs a conformist?

Would it heard anyone’s cause in this case if a lot of men would show up in sleeveless dresses? Every side of this would fall into their usual narratives, what would ironically mean that people who argue like me that it’s not a sexist rule and people who think it is would come together again and both agree that it’s a good political symbolic action. That’s my hunch anyway… I’d love to see the #Congressmenindresses :-)

  6. I completely agree with both of you. The only time I’ve ever seen or heard anything pertaining to the Kardashians by choice was when they were portrayed as kids on the American Crime O.J. series.
I know the second “hour” has more of the lighter fare, but this is a new low.

  7. Lately I’ve noticed some really bad glitches last night old-school no audio I typed into you or do you live on Twitter it was fixed but most the show was already done tonight I live to watch aggressive progressive first 15 minutes they sign off and I’m already here on TYT expecting them to come back and nothing there show disappeared what happened? You mentioned that tonight we could watch Old school because of the audio being messed up every time we go to old school it says oops The show no longer exist and even in the drop-down box for shows you go to old school and it says the same thing so I don’t know what you’re talking about being able to watch old school by going to the link because it just continues to say poops that has happened for a long time. Then there is no more post games on Friday last night’s post game went over to pop trigger so I don’t know what’s happening but you guys I pay good money to watch and have access to all the TYT shows. Too many technical difficulties is starting to upset me considering that everybody else gets to watch it for free I’m paying I don’t use YouTube or Facebook I just come straight here to watch my shows and for the last two weeks things have been screwed up someone needs to pay attention to oldschool to Jimmy doors aggressive progressive that pissed me off so bad tonight it wasn’t even funny he’s one of the best reasons why I watch TYT to cut him off 15 minutes for the people who get it for free and then asked to pay for it and are already on the site don’t get to see anything Else past the free 15 minutes.

    1. i’m a paying member and everything is working fine for me for on demand access. as to the issues you are having watching live. you have to be logged into the correct section for it to continue to play after the break. it has been explained on the show before. but i never watch live,so i can’t remember the details. hopefully another member will read your comment and help you out.

  8. About the sleeves and open shoes comes across to me as a control issue
makes this a rule to express power over the women

  9. I don’t understand what the furore is over a dress code. It seems perfectly normal to have one in the Capitol. Are they allowing male reporters in with open toe sandals and sleeveless shirts or tank tops? I bet the answer is no. What a fake outrage! This story and their commentary on it is really weak, and I really have to stretch my imagination to see it as some sort of fundamentalist issue.

Its perfectly fine to bring a blazer and put it on when indoors and take it off in the heat outside. This segment makes me feel like TYT doesn’t live in the real world.

    1. I have to agree. Dress codes and codes of professionalism exist and, if you’re going to be present in an official capacity, you should dress as you are expected to for the setting whether you are a man or a woman.

There are gender comparisons to make, but, IMHO, it’s moot. If there’s a code of conduct it should be adhered to. And the way they then used Paul Ryan’s pictures from an unofficial setting and tried to make them seem relevant? C’mon, guys, you’re better than that.

      Not their strongest segment.

  10. Was very sad to hear Grace Park and Daniel Kim left Hawaii Five-0. I could not believe they did not get paid on par with the other leads, especially when their characters have had several plot lines tied to them in the past 2 seasons. I found it even more surprising when you find Scott Caan’s character largely on the sidelines in the latter half of season 6 and most of season 7. And his performance can be best characterized as ‘phoning it in’. One of the most obvious cases of Hollywood nepotism.

Grace was amazing in BSG and I hope her future roles involve a story equally rich and captivating. I am fully confident both actors will move on to great things.

  11. Sounds like Hobby Lobby was involved in the purchase and smuggling of looted Iraqi artifacts into the US. Every other news outlet covered it as such. Why does Brett lead the story with a brief summary that implies this was a clerical customs error???

  12. In a way…male dress codes are generally far more restrictive implicitly even if not explicitly. Guys are generally far, far more limited with colors, fabrics and cuts/styles than women. Its not just the expectation of the business/legal costume (suits). Try showing up to something “serious” wearing a purple velvet suit. Nevermind a dress/robe/skirt. If a guy doesn’t adhere to the muted colors, expected fabrics and uniform styles he is either being iconoclastic (which is only advantageous in a narrow range of situations) or he is being foolish – he’ll be dismissed as un-serious at best, or mocked at worst. Seriously, just cruise through a store and compare the variety of options in the womens section vs the mens. Patriarchy, like most right wing ideologies, does damage **to varying degrees** to everyone – even its nominal beneficiaries.

    1. I think there are a lot of dress codes out there that favor men over women, especially in schools. And overall I think women have to through a lot more hurdles that men often don’t even recognize exist.

That said, I agree with you that there are a lot of dress codes out there that limit the choices of men and that it’s an issue that society doesn’t usually talk about/ignore. It’s especially a problem for gender non-confirming individuals, but try to be “manly men” wearing dresses, skirts, a little rouge?

Is a woman any less of a woman if she chooses to wear pants instead of skirts? Is a man any less of a man if chooses to wear skirts instead of pants? Interesting, isn’t it..?

  13. I don’t give a fuck about anything kardasian, you want to do this on poptrigger or whatever that show is, fine.. But can we stick with actual news on the main show?
