  2. Your pronunciation of Lava-Jato was correct, and “Rousseff” would be pronounced more like “Who-seff”.

    I would imagine most of the major cities in Brazil are on the coast as a result of being colonial capitals or port cities when Brazil was a Portuguese colony, similar to how the US is so heavily populated in the eastern time zone. Manaus is an industrial center and a duty-free zone, which is why it’s so big, and Brasilia was founded specifically to be the federal capital, also similar to the US.

  3. Not primarying Manchin’s is TB. Primaries, even if you lose, force progressive ideas into the sphere, making it so that we’re talking about making the country better instead of saying, “Well, we need to co-operate with Republicans, so let’s triangulate and move further to the right. More corporate tax cuts!” Primaries show the leaders that voters care about progressive issues.

    Brett’s a little bit of a snob with the haircut thing. If you’re poor, you get your hair cut in the kitchen because that’s where you can sweep it up as opposed to having to vacuum. Not everyone lives where it’s warm and can go outside to do that.

    Bring back Steve Oh!

  5. Great show as always. I’m a fan of Brett. Dave makes some good jokes that get mostly ignored. I’m sure he doesn’t mind though. Sounds like Steve and Francis will have some good stories. You should make Francis talk like he would normally talk in Scotland.

    The only WWN question I got right was the monkey one but I was still surprised at how fat he was. Yikes.
