  1. Ana, I’m a rural white American. I’m 57 years old and a woman. I voted for Jill Stein.

I know some people in my community who voted for Trump. As a rule, they are anti-intellectual, semi-literate, and the most under-educated we’ve got.

    1. Yeah, when you look at actual voting maps, all districts are generally purple, the whole red areas/ blue areas business is an overgeneralisation that tries to simply a complex issue down to my tribe vs. your tribe. Despite their protestations otherwise, Cenk and Ana are just as prone to this thinking pattern as other media personalities, they just draw the line ion a different place.

Some of the younger hosts aren’t as bad, but this is just basic human psychology.

  2. I didnt expect to hear about the Lighthouse school in Indiana on here. Way to pay attention TYT! Sad that its in my hometown. I used to deliver pizza to that place, and they never tipped and were just all around unpleasant most of the time.

  3. LOL…no one notices that the kid and dog are from a school whose motto is “Home of the Indians”

  4. Really?!? punishing a girl for not having an abortion. Christian schools…. where kindness, mercy, and love are conditional. What a bunch of hypocrites.

  5. Non republican Jesus embrace and save Mary Magdalene

Republican Jesus say stone girl who have sex,
    crucify mary magdalene

  6. I love the show, a beautiful example of what modern media should be. If only the CASTING option was fixed/reliable.

    1. If it makes you feel any better AirPlay doesn’t work well either. It’s very fiddly. Right now my solution is just to download the episodes to my iMac and then AirPlay them to my tv. But it really shouldn’t be this difficult.

  7. I work as a homeless advocate, & have literally spent 30 years volunteering/working at the shelter my grandparents founded when I was 6 yrs old. Speaking from actual experience, the people I work with are as varied in their “mindset” as the general population. The only consistent factor is a lack of financial stability. I can’t believe this man is the head of HUD. Ugh.

  8. Fun facts on motherhood in the world. US ranks 33rd in the average age of a mother having her first child. The average age in the US is 25. Similar to Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka and Georgia. Every other first world country has a later first birth age. Japan, Greece, Australia, Switzerland, Italy, and Luxembourg are all past the age of thirty.

In the US, the only states in which the first time mother is greater than the average age of 25 are blue states….Of course…. Some states, like Arkansas, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming are under 24 years old for first time mothers, which is common for third world countries, and this is regardless of race.

    1. Citation needed please because your listed states aren’t matching up with what I’ve looked up. Also race most definitely shows a gap. In no state do blacks even tie whites. They are younger in every state.

For your claim however please provide a source. I’ll await your response.

  9. Wow! I didn’t know David Koch supports the young Turks! Cenk has a monthly member phone call with Chuck and dave!

  10. lol, Brett acting like he was going to wear something other than that hat and sweater at the start of the show… only lasted like 5 minutes.

  11. The problem the pro-life, christian, right fails to see when they ostracize, shame, and punish teenage pregnancies is that it facilitates the fear that leads their young generation to terminate a pregnancy. Everybody that was a teenager knows that teens have sex. It’s inevitable. And when they teach abstinence only and don’t teach safe sex or provide contraceptive the statistical inevitability of teen pregnancy is very high. It’s insane

  12. Ben Carson might as well have said “let them eat cake”. It’s essentially the same level of ignorance.

  13. My cat Peanuts is like Ana’s dog. He follows me all over the house and when I walk upstairs, I have to stop and love him 2-3 times before I get to the top because it’s what we do. And not just petting. He only enjoys rubbing his face on people faces to show love. Then when I get home from work, he trots down the stairs to greet me or watches for me out the window when I walk back from my daughter’s bus stop. He’s my little buddy and he brings me so much joy. Plus he’s goofy and drools when he purrs and his teeth stick out. If he wasn’t all white, his teeth would look super funny but they blend in.

    1. I got one cat like that. The other just sits on the couch or screams at me to feed it. Oh, and after I feed it, barfs it up, on the couch.

  14. Yeah Grace I agree, I think what he was trying to say was a little different and in his position he should provide tools toward that end.

Ana I disagree with your example that someone working fulltime at walmart is working hard. That job is an extremely low skill job and you’re effectively a drone (source I have worked a similar minimum wage job before). People should leave that job as soon as possible because its basically not going to exist in 10 years. I do support a basic universal wage rather than a minimum wage for that reason.

  15. Never thought I’d see my hs on tyt but here I am. It’s *fal-mith*. That’s two days in a row.

  16. The dog story made my day! We hear so much bad news lately. I think we need a happy animal story every day on TYT to keep our spirits up!

  17. “Do not like to teach things regarding science” This is hardly the only example. Can we have someone who has taken at least a few minutes to prep for each story?

  18. the boomers gen need to get out of the way, they are destroying the other 2 gen, gen x and mill. everything is coming crashing down and they just keep hanging on. just fuck off and let others fix your shit

  19. “What Betsy Devos cares about is privatizing schools … and that is not school choice.”

Thank you Ana. I am a veteran high school math teacher for 19 years.

    Thank you.

  20. Either I missed something or I don’t understand why you guys are saying a slap on the wrist is ok for taking a naked picture of someone (which is bad enough on its own) and posting it without their permission. Oh, it was motivated as a joke, so it’s still a naked picture of someone without their permission. It’s still a massive violation of privacy. Since you guys like to talk about fairness (and I generally agree) same photo taken by the same person and put up on a porn site? What would you think was the right punishment then? Or just took the photo and kept it on their phone for themselves. Like I really feel like I must have missed something because I think this is actually a huge deal and about more than retaining humanity on social media…

  21. Christians like that jackass principal in Maryland, and the horrible parents bullying the pregnant student REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY need to remember “Judge not lest ye be judged”

  22. Unless it’s a private school that caters to special needs I don’t believe any private school should receive federal funding. If they are offering services that public schools are not as equipped to provide (for instance schools for the deaf) fine have funds that’s great. Otherwise nope. If you want to send your kids to private school I don’t care that is your choice but you should have to pick up the bill, not taxpayers. I think given the state of public schools it’s gross that this is even a discussion. If a school is religious and participates in discrimination that makes it even worse, but given that they didn’t do that I still wouldn’t be ok with them getting federal funding. I know that’s pretty hardline but that’s how I feel.

    1. Well said, Megan~!
Further weakening the already deeply fucked-up public school
system will only hasten the race to the bottom for the poor and the middle class.

And as these sink, they can battle ‘droids and robots for ever-more soul-killing work.

      Ah~! To paraphrase Dr. King, “””I have a nightmare~!”””

      ~Upaya~
