I didn’t feel like the fast pace was a negative for King Arthur. I generally get bored watching all the slower paced transitions, and it wasn’t as if the plot was complex enough for people to need time to digest the information. I do think that we missed out on a lot of the lore, but I feel like it was a pretty solid place to start from in order to make sequels. Unfortunately, due to poor reception, it’s unlikely more films will be produced. The soundtrack meshed excellently with the aura of the film and definitely keeps your heart racing. This film breaks from tradition by imaging the character of Arthur differently. I’m not saying that it’s an original idea to have a reluctant hero, but it does allow for more of the playful banter that everyone seemed to enjoy. I agree that there could have been more of it, but I rather liked the wit we were able to get. The other thing that I think should be mentioned was how the story was told. I loved how you would hear the people telling the story and then see it happening and the storyteller’s dialogue would overlap and it would jump between the two scenes. It’s my favorite style and I believe it was executed to perfection in this film. I know that my opinion isn’t popular, but I really enjoyed this movie and have gone to see it multiple times. I also plan to go see it again. I know that most of the characters are one dimensional and the plot was predictable, but the actors were phenomenal at selling their stories, the score was incredible, and the quick quips were exciting. When many things in life, especially the politics, are so fluid and frightening it’s reassuring / comforting to escape for a time into something familiar.
Where’s the download option? I can’t watch without downloading! Help!!!!!!!!
Alien Covenant:. I am hoping that we get more engineer stuff. These movies need to go deeper. I care more about the engineers than the alien zeno’s.
