I remember Jon Stewart calling Gretchen out for her fake “ah shucks…..gee whiz……I don’t know what that big word means” after on air she said she to look up the meaning of the words ‘czar’ and ‘ignoramus'” . He theorized her act was to keep her rube viewers from thinking she was an “elite” when, in fact, she had graduated with honors from Stanford and is a classically trained violinist. Heck, I bet she can play a mean banjo too.

  6. Ironically he actually has a point. Forget the racist, xenophobic slurs. I mean: he is obviously a jerk. But I breed rabbits and it is true that when you breed two rabbits from different human created breeds ( populations we have kept apart ) you get what is known as “hybrid vigor”. That first generation is likely to be noticeably healthier and stronger. This is noted and used in breeding programs.
    It is the opposite of what you see with inbred populations. One theory for this phenomina is that while both parents may carry recessive problems ( characteristics that will manifest in the offspring only if both parents pass on the gene) it is less likely that both parents from vastly different populations will pass along the same recessive problems. Which is why mutts are often stronger and healthier than pure breed dogs.

    Okay. This is not what you were talking about. But I find hybrid vigor interesting. It may even explain our handsome, intelligent #44 POTUS … two populations long separated tend to produce extraordinary offspring. Just sayin,

    1. I imagine that different breeds of rabbits is not equivilent to different races. Case and point, animals tend to have different speicies. We [humans] do not, at least not that we know of.
      All humans are homo-sapien. Homo is the genus, human-like. Sapien represents humans as we understand it. However, dogs for instance, have many different species within a genus.

      There is actual evidence that mixing races would have a net benefit, case and point how incest leads to more defects. Evolution happens by mutation, you are more likely to gain traits when you have a larger spectrum of genes.

  8. Ana is definitely right. He knows what a species is and he doesn’t consider non-white people to be humans.

    1. Fully agreed. Brian knows exactly what he’s saying, especially since he’s a “doctor”. You don’t accidentally confuse those words multiple times in one interview. You can also watch just how mortified the female host was by his commentary. She sat there WIDE-EYED for most of the clip. O_O
