  1. Hello Steve OH, I hear you are in Europe now and I hope we can get together. I can take you around but don’t fall for a lot of bullshit you hear from what a paradise it is in Europe and how Murica needs to follow the German model. If you want to see a country that works, go to Norway. 50% EV! Germans are Gasholes and live like pigs. I know you were in Berlin, you might have seen some model neighborhoods, but the rest of the country has problems. Anytime they show you a solar panel or a wind farm, ask them to show the Lignite mines or coal mines. They complain about Solar and Wind energy saying it is subsidized! I have trade journals that talk about the problem of putting unsubsidized renewable energy into the system. But the coal mines are investments of a lot of banks and governments that want a 30 year return, and even the landscaping companies that will put a giant band-aid over a Rape wound are subsidized. They don’t have batteries, but they didn’t make an investment in building factories. I have tried to get the Swiss to change since I have more influence in my town, but the Swiss are Gasholes that hate wind turbines. I have made lots of noise in the last three weeks, if you contact me I can take you around since TYT has a name even in Europe. But I think TYT has gotten out of control, and I recently gave money to Jimmy and I would let my TYT membership down except for AP. Grace had a good show but I think that Columbine had an effect on her and she is having to rethink her place in the world. I suggest she come on once and lets see what her viewpoints are.
I have made progress in having a training program for EV mechanics and also in converting ICE cars to EV. I am putting pressure on out electrical company to go heavily into batteries. Now we might try to fine investors in building a battery factory, and Steve could help me out with his visit.

    1. Hi Larry, thanks for the note. Sorry, but I just saw it now. I’m leaving Oslo in the morning for a few days in Gothenburg then back home. I agree that the model here in Norway is awesome. These trips are super jammed with events and activities so it’s really hard for me to squeeze in anything extra, but thanks for the offer. Hopefully can make it back sometime soon.

      1. I’m glad you saw Norway, and no I hope that you will start talking about EV. I had a plan to electrify a metal construction factory Switzerland but the plan fell through for this year. I don’t want to wait another year and I want to take action now. The easiest would be to move to Norway and take advantage of 50% EV in a country. But the weak link in transforming transportation is battery production. I don’t want to count on the Germans to lead us into the future, even though every article I read touts the German model. But for cars, the leader of Mercedes refused to invest in batteries last year, and for industry storage, the German trade association warned about having too much production this year and to wait another year. The problem is that the Germans don’t want to lose their investments in Coal plants in the north and the automakers don’t want to lose out on their ICE vehicles. Only Tesla and North Volt in Sweden are building batteries on a large enough scale. Peter Carlsson of North Volt really has an interesting idea since there are lithium and cobalt reserves in Finland and Sweden has hydro-electric Green Energy and will really cut the carbon footprint of batteries. They are choosing between one of eight towns in Sweden and Finland to build. I a trying to convince Tesla, Renault and Nissan to also invest and so maybe they will have 2 or 6 or 8 factories. He thinks 20 factroies would be enough to electrify Europe, and the same for the US. Why aren’t more people supporting this project, since it is vital. We should have started in 2014 when we signed the Paris Accords.
After listening to Carlsson, my idea of having factories in Kosovo has changed. I think the first order of business would be to have the people install Solar PV on a large scale. This would be a way to democratize the electricity business. Maybe we can ask Noam Chomsky or Jean Ziegler for their ideas about implementing such a policy worldwide. After more people have solar and wind energy available, then we can build more battery factories and build more EV. I can criticize Elon Musk since I think he has forgotten simplicity and gone headlong into Autopilot and having every car luxurious. We need a Model T or a VW bug for the common folk. If you are in LA, look into a deal on a Nissan Leaf before they increase the range.
Look on You Tube for “Riyadh Summit”. They have been advertising on TJDS. It is not a parody! I think this is the signal that they are ready for the final plan of PNAC and they will do the attack on Europe soon. Wall Street will use this as a cover to have the derivatives market collapse and they will steal everybody’s money and gas prices will go sky high. This is why I am trying to something urgently to change to EV. What do we have to lose?

  2. Jimmy’s bit on the whole “How you grew up, but how I grew up” has reassured me that I am not alone in similar thinking. (I watched this AP episode just after having a huge argument with a person who is pro corporate, and I am an animator and artist)

Essentially the Gentleman was claiming i’m Bohemian living in a delusional world, because in reality corporate is everything.

Jimmy! Steve! Keep doing what you do, you bring sanity to many people.

  3. Really glad that some of my membership fees goes to this show, to cover *real* issues- Graham is great, Steve is awesome, and Jimmy is a fucking legend. Thanks for covering populist left movements across the world!

You guys need to get some political economists as guests at some point- Would be great to see Yanis Varoufakis, Mark Blyth, Jeffery Sachs, Thomas Piketty, and Noam Chomsky on AP.

  4. Hi, I am a newbie here- chris_kruger54 on twitter – I don’t think Barack is/was inherently evil; I believe that when you get elected President, they sit you down and tell you what you can and can’t do; Barack originally pledged to not take money; then people appealed to him on the now-familiar “lesser evil” argument, that defeating the Republicans was more important than “purity” and they resolved to fix it “next time.”

Well, you saw what happened; and that “next time” is what the Democrats have promised since the Dixiecrats’ revolt in 1948; “next time” they would implement civil rights, stop wars, etc.

Even Harvard law can be “young and dumb” when it comes to governing the most wealthy & powerful country in the world. The Democrats (meaning, the Democrats’ donors) do this by anointing younger, politically-correct choices- Barack was way-too inexperienced, to go from Illinois State Senate to the White House in a decade.

The Republicans similarly do this by promoting actors like Reagan and Trump, who will be easily manipulated after Inauguration.

jkmyoung, who I’m picking on because he/she wrote the first comment, and I’m not reading all of them, seems to imply that the “filibuster-proof” argument is flawed, because it fails to take into consideration the Southern “Blue Dog” dems. I liked it alot when Mark Blyth pointed out that EVERY president has that same challenge, to beat his own party into submission. It is correct that Ben Nelson and Blanche Lincoln, Red state dems, are a large part of the reason we got a shitty healthcare bill; however, it was Obama’s job to use the Bully Pulpit to bring them in, and BARACK IS NOT A FIGHTER.

Concentrating on Barack or any pol’s Person is at the root of the problem. In my opinion, calling TYT sellouts because they are now enjoying a modicum of success or because they have to address an audience, many of whom are just learning about politics or just introduced to politics through the Bernie movement, commits the same error.

Instead of ripping any Left-of-Center person, the way I handle it is through Issues; I am not voting for anyone who doesn’t support Single Payer, $15, Student Debt Relief, and Free Tuition, and I make sure candidates know that. If they support that, they got my vote, even if fundraising is not 100% pure as driven snow.

Chuck Schumer stood with Bernie two weeks ago and endorsed $15. We should communicate to Schumer that we support him in that, and pressure him to voice support for Single Payer. Calling Schumer a “Sellout,” while a true statement, does nothing to push the Democratic leadership who, by the way, are in the government at the moment.

Ergo, there is no sense in trashing Justice Dems, unless you are working for Establishment Dems or Republicans, as long as they have that platform. I advise to forget about people, vote for Issues and agitate and promote around those Issues. Whether Barack started out corrupt and bad or ended up that way really doesn’t matter, the Donors will persist as long as we allow them.

Oh, by the way, I voted Bernie then Jill; I also voted Jill in 2012 after figuring out Barack couldn’t do the right thing if her tried, and he probably wasn’t trying.

Wanna see something interesting? Look at Jesse Jackson’s 1988 campaign platform; its almost identical to Bernie’s and Jill’s. It’s called Democratic Socialism (or Social Democracy) and it’s remained relatively unchanged; that’s why we need to identify as Social Democrats (I like that term ALOT more than “Progressive,” which can be adapted to mean anything) and forget about Personality.

    1. that’s why we need to identify as Social Democrats (I like that term ALOT more than “Progressive,” which can be adapted to mean anything)

We can’t just abandon the term “progressives” because Corporatists (or conservatives) would snap it up and ruin it.

Case in point: the rightwing, neoliberal wing of the British Labour party is currently rumored to be planning a breakaway party after the election, tentatively titled “The Progressives”.

The one problem I have with “social democrat” is that it suggests that only democrats are allowed, whereas anyone who acts progressively is a progressive. In any case, the progressive movement is much bigger than just democrats (which I always thought was a stupid name to begin with, same as “Republicans” is a stupid name. They’re both essentially meaningless.)

I certainly agree that everything really revolves around “the issues”, the ideologies, the structural ideas, etc. But personality matters greatly all the same. I think that Sanders’ left-populist drive was greatly aided by his personality because his anti-establishment message is easier to take seriously when it comes from someone whose personality – or at the very least, the persona he projects to the public – is so radically different from the more artificial, slick and crafted personas projected by the average (careerist, corporate, etc.) politician.

  5. 1. Republicans never promoted Trump, though (contrary to Reagan). They were putting all their resources into less volatile, more docile, more establishment-approved characters like Jeb.

  6. I still think Obama WAS a good guy who just didn’t have the same priorities Jimmy did. For a long time people just figured house prices would keep rising, and were in denial that the rise would end. It seems unjust to blame Obama for not recognizing what the majority of us also missed. I do think we’re overestimating Obama’s intelligence, particularly as he was naive enough to buy into his own narrative of being able to unite Democrats and Republicans.
When Obama supposedly had a ‘filibuster proof’ majority, he couldn’t even get all the Democrats on his side for health care reform. It was the Democrats we had to fight, not the Republicans! Further, he spent so much time earnestly trying to convince both Democrats and Republicans, that when Scott Brown got elected it was too late. Obama wasn’t progressive, but other than health care, he wasn’t pushing the agenda. He was a weak president, who got his payday for not being confrontational.
His award for courage is rubbing it in his face. You had courage, but you can do nothing. Now sit down and take your paycheck.

  7. Okay, Steve … I’m confused.
Jimmy & Graham are saying Obama is NOT a good guy. He is a pretty, musical-voiced BAD man. He knew what he was doing, and he willingly went along with all the terrible things that happened during his presidency.

Steve says, no, he is a good guy that was overwhelmed by the amount of entrenched corruption, etc.
But then Steve goes on to prove Jimmy & Graham’s point.

    S t e v e … c’mon Steve, c’mon Stevie-baby …. you know Obama is a dick. You just can’t bring yourself to say it out loud yet!

  8. I long ago largely stopped watching the main show. I’ve never much cared for the other shows. I pay for TYT primarily for Aggressive Progressives. I would like to see more of Jimmy Dore on TYT Network. He’s one of the best people you’ve got.

    1. Today’s article from Caity Johnstone has cemented my decision to end my membership at TYT. Jimmy Dore, Steve Oh and the Aggressive Progressives is the only reason I have stayed this long, but I just can’t take it anymore. Jordan Chariton has freaked on good people like Tim Black, Niko House, and others. Some thing deeply ill is going on there.

      https://medium.com/@caityjohnstone/tyts-cenk-uygur-smears-tyt-journalist-michael-tracey-on-air-for-being-anti-russiagate-1e0c8110349d

      1. Ah, don’t worry. From what I’ve seen, Tracey can take it as well as he can dish it out. He’ll just keep doing what he’s already doing.

I enjoy Johnstone taking such a firm line with Cenk, though. Sometimes that’s necessary. Cenk’s angle on the Russia stories is not going to go anywhere, but his stubborness (often a great asset) will delay the process.

  9. I am a huge fan of this show and of Steve Oh’s in particular.

However, I have to admit that I feel more and more disappointed with TYT overall, and would much rather spend my $10/month in support of other independent media outside the network. (Aside from Aggressive Progressives, I only really tune in whenever Nomiki uploads content.)

I wish there was a way to only pay for and support AP. While it is enough to keep me on as a member for now, I honestly feel hesitant as to whether such sentiments will continue, particularly if I sense that other independent voices can get a greater benefit from such a monthly membership fee.

  10. Love the show, as always. Such a relief to hear others call out obama BS plain and simple… could not agree more, fucking money whores.

I LOVE Steve on any panel, anywhere! But I think you are way too kind about these rich manipulators –obama– actually being good people. A good suit and excellent speaking skills does not make you a good person. “You shall know them by their actions, not their words.” I’m def not into the christian thing, but that quote attributed to jc is spot on. Michelle asks , in reference to donnytinyhands, what kind of person wants your kids to eat crap? Well, I wonder what kind of person creates a drone program to bomb whole communities away? What kind of person makes the tax payers bail out the criminals that stole everything they had? What kind of person sets records deporting desperate people? On and on…. fuck obama.

Greed is a disease that is killing everything anyone ever held dear.

Whoa, great to hear about the Aspiration dude… any chance of somebody getting a TYT interview with him taped? I def want to hear his views!

    1. Michelle asks , in reference to donnytinyhands, what kind of person wants your kids to eat crap? Well, I wonder what kind of person creates a drone program to bomb whole communities away?

Exactly. That whole avenue of logic just hilariously rebounds on her, like a Tomahawk missile launched straight up into the air with zero angle.

  11. Can you please post the labour party section on YouTube- amazing segment SO worth sharing as it puts the myth that bernie is radical left in perspective and shows how intelligent and reasonable a far left progressive platform actually is ! Thanks

  12. Obama telegraphed his intent when he voted for the big telecoms to get immunity while a senator during the presidential campaign. I do not why we are so surprised now. I watched that vote to make my determination whether or not to support him and I voted accordingly.

  13. I agree. The swearing doesn’t bother me, but I know that for many of my friends and family, it would get in the way of them hearing the content of his argument when they would be open to it otherwise.

  14. If corporations are people, why can’t the government use eminent domain to expropriate corporate property the same way Keystone XL is expropriating individual’s personal property?

  15. This is by very far my favorite news show. Feels like I’m among soul mates. Having said that, I wish Jimmy would cool it a little on the fucks. I know several of my contemporaries would love this show and agree with “policies”, but would have a hard time with the amount of profanity. I know it sounds silly to most of you. But there are a lot of old moldies like myself who are surprisingly progressive.

    1. I like the swearing but, honestly, I would like it just as much if they “bleeped” it all in the Members’ upload. If it’s bleeped out then it still sounds very forceful because you know something is being bleeped out for a reason.

The only problem with this idea is the time and effort that would have to go into the act of censoring. Corporate networks have dedicated employees for this, TYT does not. It would delay the upload.

  16. Corbyn supported Brexit, as does Jimmy as he has discussed before, so there is nothing suspect about Jimmy skipping that section.

Still not enough show. Will it take a fundraiser to get more AP shows a week. Its the main reason for my membership. I’m also a member on jimmydorecomedy.com.

I thought the chemistry on show was fine, If anything, the skype interviews slow things down, but I’m glad they’re restricted to the first 15 mins and cover important topics.

    1. Corbyn campaigned hard for the Remain campaign during the referendum campaign, despite his longstanding personal ambivalence about the EU and its neoliberal policies. However you want to parse those facts, they certainly do not translate into “Corbyn supported Brexit”.

  17. Great show! I think Taibbi wrote an article a few years back about how we would become a renter nation and then last night (5/12) on NPR’s MarketPlace there was a story about corporations buying up huge chunks of houses to rent as a good investment option. I live in a tiny townhouse I bought for $88k in 1997 in the mid-Atlantic. It’s worth $250k now. I’m glad to have personally been able to build wealth through this purchase, but at the same time people who were in my position when I bought the house, are completely priced out and there aren’t many other options. Like Jimmy said, a crappy condo? I think a 1 bedroom condo in this area goes for around what I paid in ’97. Sad world.

  18. Ok now I will go from there. I feel he was a troubled person, in regards to his feelings, but a war criminal nonetheless in the court of humanity. I feel his speaking style revealed a constant internal struggle to justify his actions: i.e. he was trying to convince himself that he was doing the right thing (you name the issue he was speaking on).

I reccomend the piece “My President was Black” by Ta-Nehisi Coates to get a look into maybe some of Obama’s thought processes.

  19. I feel like Obama had the air of a person that was always undergoing a moral crisis. I’m throwing that out at face value, not extending it to any opinion of his presidency.

  20. Another awesome episode! Jimmy Dore is the fuckin man! I find Steve Oh insightful and a valuable member of the show. Malcom Fleischner did a good job filling in too. Sorry I can’t say the same about Graham; I know you are being a good friend Jimmy but he does not make the show better. More Nomi too!

All that detail about the Labour Party platform was new to me. It just reinforces how weak the democratic party is. Do not let up on the DNC!

And thank you so much for pissin’ on Bill Maher for that pathetic episode last week. He is everything that is wrong with mainstream Lefties.

    1. fill out ‘their’ fat asses with more fucking ‘doughnuts’ – I really need to watch my spelling here, no apologies for the cursing!

  21. Tupac said it best eventually we are gonna get tired of begging and we are gonna break down the door

  22. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE compile other videos like the Sarah Champion one and make an anti establishment video that could appeal to human in ANY country. This helps people see what is going on by breaking down partisan walls. This is a global problem for western countries.

    1. make an anti establishment video that could appeal to human in ANY country

I would argue that any anti-establishment video is already, inherently internationalized by definition. Because people do recognize the similarities between the establishments of different countries and they see the links (also because, arguably, there is increasingly a “global establishment” made up of multinational corporations and the jet-setting elite).

Therefore, anytime that Jimmy rails against the Democratic Party elite, viewers abroad will recognize that as a critique that applies just as much to their own useless, often equally corrupted, nominally “left-of-center” parties. Exactly as you suggest, the same problems do exist everywhere, neoliberal capitalism is everywhere, etc.

For those reasons, TYT’s audience is already very internationalized.

  23. Brilliant! I loved hearing about the Labour Party platform – just what is needed in the U.S. Shout out to Steve Oh – forget the hater; you are a huge positive for AP and we need your voice!

  24. I’m so happy you commented on the smear that Corbyn [and other parties as well] is getting. It is akin to what Bernie faced, the difference is that Bernie had more time to prepare and be seen.

I did get the feeling you skipped Brexit because you disagree with it. Not that I do, it is a policy and is relevant. Especially as a member of the news had said, “Shouldn’t the election be about Brexit? I mean it will affect the young people you prop up.” – I’m here face palming because a ‘Brexit only’ campaign would be irrelevant because they would only be plans…not actual policies that affect people.
Kind of ironic that the news are asking for more on Brexit and platitudes when the Conservative campaign is, “Strong and Stable leadership” and we will kick those European bureaucrats in the knickers. Not actually what they plan to do for people /or/ how they are going to negotiate when the rest of Europe are laughing at us. She may have been able to set up a favourable Brexit deal with Le Pen as president of France…but not now. You need a party who are going to focus on citizens. – Also, Labour want to protect EU citizens as part of the Brexit deal, something that many ‘liberals’ and progressives feel Theresa May left out on purpose to hold EU citizens for ransom.

P.S. To make it fair in my post I have tried to include other parties facing bias as the Conservative party are the clear choice for the media. Even a party I fundamentally disagree with because progressives should fight for everyone.

An example of Liberal Democrats being smeared is when Tim Farron, a devout Christian, answered a question on same-sex marriage with platitudes. (Which admittedly wasn’t right.) If you take a look at his voting record on it; he did not vote in one of them but voted 4 times in favour of same-sex marriage. And in terms of gay rights voted against in 2007, Equality Act (Sexual Orientation) Regulations, but has obviously evolved since.
My long-winded point is that they questioned him on something stupid yet his voting record is good, especially when you consider his religion is a big part of him. I would argue that he is probably voting with his constituents.

In terms of the Green party they are attacking their policy on proportional representation. It is, in essence, more democratic however they were seen as divisive. – We use a first past the post system, but the winner of the constituency will be a representative. We don’t have a prime ministerial election AND representative election.

And, in terms of UKIP, the sexy narrative is that they are dead (probably true but still) because they lost in local council elections; who have next to no say in Brexit negotiations which would be the reason for their election. Also, there is a low turnout. – It would be like saying, this party is the president so the senate and house are going to be exactly the same.

  25. You guys need to promote worker self directed enterprises as alternative to Capitalism . Interview Richard Wolff!

    1. I’ve been a fan of Richard Wolff for years. Democracy in the workplace. Sounds reasonable to me.

  26. Obama was a weasel, he was the LITTLE BITCH of corporate America. When he ran for office and beat Hillary he was a roaring tiger of reform and change, when he got in office, he was a little BITCH WHORE$ taking up the ass and say thanks may I have another. FUCK OBAMAS just like the CLINTONS.

    1. He can start at “Mile 0” in Victoria (my geographical bias) and work his way east. Give ’em hell on Young Street. I think we may have our own Barack Obama, in the body of Justin Trudeau. He started out progressive, but now seems to be slipping into that old familiar pattern of serving power.

  27. Steve, I’m glad you feel like it’s like talking to family, because that’s how it feels to me when I kick back and watch the show.

  28. Man, I love this show. It is so refreshing. The main show…not so much. But I acknowledge and honor the fact that those on the main show have a right to their own points of view, no matter how much they get on my nerves. On the whole right now, I’m tired of the strain of identity politics that, in my view, is being fanatically overemphasized and used against people unjustly. It sucks because it seems like I’m so burnt out on the way identity politics have, to my mind, been misused in the past year and a half that at this time I’m more skeptical than ever and less likely to truly listen when someone brings up identity issues. I’m also tired of constant useless speculation and predictions by the media and populace about issues that are purposefully distorted and blown way out of proportion by skilled propagandists. So many of us think we know what’s going on when we have no idea what’s going on in the halls of power. I’m tired of “progressives” not respecting the free will of others with points of view they disagree with. None of us are right 100% of the time. None of us are perfect. None of us have exactly the same views on everything. All of us are in a process of an evolving consciousness and understanding that changes and grows (or shrinks) in depth as we live our lives. The “I’m right/You’re wrong” attitude is tearing our nation apart. We can have strong opinions, give them voice, and disagree with others while at the same time be open minded enough to hear people out and not try to bully others to think like us. Admittedly, it’s a real challenge, and I have to keep checking myself everyday to make sure I don’t fall into this trap of emotional attachment to my present points of view. It’s really tricky especially when we are so quick to react fearfully and emotionally to everything right now. Sorry, I guess this is just the place where I decided to voice this stuff that has been on my mind lately with so much counterproductive self-righteous bickering and drama going on in our country’s psyche lately. I think, though, that if we truly desire real unity, we have the possibility to work through our self-imposed conflicts and come out all the better for it.

    1. Great post. Aggressive Progressives is a breath of fresh air that reminds me a little bit of TYT in the old days. I still like a fair amount of Hour One’s from the main show, but Hour Two is just unwatchable nowadays, such a shame. The “he said, she said” attitude of so many people, where a single opinion from one person now gives you license to just tune out everything else they say is a real problem right now, as well as the paranoid and constantly seeking self-justification world of identity politics.

  29. the republican party actually lost twice in a row. once w obama and again w Trump, trump a fuck u to the stablishment from the people.

that example steve uses w mexico droning USA is fucking amazing!

  30. I’m not even American but I subscribe to Young Turks for this show… you guys are absolute legends. Don’t stop.

  31. Steve, fuck those guys saying you don’t belong on the show. Although you’re more mild mannered, you’re a true progressive and anyone that listens to what you say about policy and the state of the world can see that obviously. Steve, Jimmy, Graham, and Malcom, you guys ROCK!

  32. Here’s a brilliant idea Jimmy: If you have so much to say that you can only get to half of it in the hour and a half, maybe you need to do a 2 or 3 hour show, or just 1 hour but 3 or 4 nights a week? How about that? Makes sense to me. Please? I can’t get enough of you guys. Today was one of the best shows you’ve ever done, I was so energized by it and so into it! Keep it up, stay aggressive!

    1. Great show, love the rake on identity politics & main stream media’s constant attempt to frame good-hearted progressive ideas & thinking as lunacy. Laughed my ass off today. More AP, definitely the main reason for my subscription. Keep up the great work guys, you speak for us corporate employees that sometimes can’t speak up for fear of repress.

  33. I LOVE Steve. I love you all! Thank you for the open dialogue and this show.

    My two cents:

Obama was not perfect, but I think he was far better than Trump, Bush, Clinton and Daddy Bush. Obama was more than a black man (which everyone seems to think is some sort of qualification), Obama was a constitutional centrist who became President. He also had people calling for his impeachment on day 1. Republicans obstructed him on an unprecedented level. Still, I do think he became disillusioned and jaded the longer he was exposed to Washington.

That said, I’m mad that I’m defending ANY of these arseholes. They all have far more in common with each other than they do with me. It’s not about bashing Obama or Trump. Obama is gone. Trump is an idiot. What about the people at the local level doing evil shi# right now? Where are the progressive stars? —where are THEY???– highlight THEM!!! There’s so much more you guys could be talking about. Cmon!!!! Bring Jordan back if all you’re going to do is talk about how much Obama and Trump suck.

Okay, segment 3 was good, until Graham made yet another joke about being accused of racism for making the argument and all the racists went, “exactly!” *shakingmyhead* Racism can be stoked on the left and the right. If you don’t want people to accuse you of racism stop acknowledging those arseholes.

Jimmy said, “It’s not about race or identity politics” — exactly! Then Graham went and ruined it by saying that if you criticize a black woman you get accused of being racist —- holy hell. It’s almost as if Graham is making up for all the times he didn’t say something about Obama because of his own fears. Did you really think Obama was going to be your savior just because he’s black? Why is voting for Obama some sort of racist purity test? A corrupt black man? I didn’t know they exist, especially when their mothers are white??? Enough guys. You are smarter than this. Unless you’re talking about how racism is used as a tool of the 1%, stop bringing the sh!t up — lest YOU become a tool of the 1%.

As a black woman I wonder who I’m allowed to criticize? It’s a ridiculous thought.

  34. In his last commencement speech Obama actually made a joke saying if his speech goes well he’s gonna try it out on Goldman Sachs later. Thank Obama smh

  35. Did Steve Oh say that anyone that makes under 80 grand a year should be tax exempt. IDK about that shit. The most progressive countries in the world tax their citizen’s at around 40%. Of course they make around a $18-20 minimum wage but still the majority of the money for their social welfare programs comes from middle income wage workers. $18 an hour is about 35 grand a year.

  36. Rough Sleeping is basically people who sleep in the open air or in places that aren’t normally used for habitation, e.g. allies and building entrances. Sounds like this is housing for the homeless. GO UK Labor Party! GO Justice Democrats!

  37. It is just sad that we need two comedians and a lawyer to get real news. Keep it up and keep it real!!!!

  38. Graham is GREAT. Can we please replace Steve-Oh-Shit-I-Have-No-Business-Being-On-This-Show with a REAL aggressive progressive like Graham?? “Obama is a decent person.” Suck a dick, Steve.

    1. Dear axekicker-shit-i-have-no-business-commenting-on-this-show,

People are allowed to disagree. Intelligent discussion is what makes this show great. If you watch the show you know Steve can get aggressive with the best of them.

Jimmy, Steve, and Graham – great episode as usual

    2. Steve is usually the only person who can inject some reason into the conversation. It’s pretty sad that pisses you off so much.

  39. The Kyrie Irving thing was actually debunked. In the original interview, Irving was criticizing the media. He felt that anything he said on air would on be taken out of context. He was right. But, unfortunately, he became the biggest joke in the country for the rest of that week

    1. I think you mean Graham. Close enough. And you’re correct. The answer is to replace Steve-Oh-Shit-I-Have-No-Business-Being-On-This-Show with a REAL aggressive progressive i.e. Graham!
