Jimmy Dore, Steve Oh, Malcolm Fleschner, and Nomiki Konst on this week’s Aggressive Progressives. Jimmy skypes with Jordan Chariton to discuss the DNC lawsuit and updates on the Flint water crisis. The panel discusses Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s comments about Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton’s “resistance,” and Barack Obama’s pricey speech.

MORE INSIDE BASEBALL FROM NOMI PLEASE. THAT WAS THE BEST PART OF THE SHOW. PLEASE MORE.
Steve-Oh’s the worst ! Ratting out Ben to Jimmahhh ..
What a fucking amazing group of people these four, Jimmy, Steve, Malcolm and Nomiki. I love them so much. If there were more of them on this planet, paradise would be assured for all. Please listen all to what they say, this is wisdom; you won’t hear that anywhere else. Add to that, of course, Cenk, Ana, Ben, John, Micheal, Jordan, and Kyle K. Amy G., Thom H. and Alex L. (other channels, Secular Talk, Democracy Now, and Haartman Show and Big Picture) and all contributors. What a fucking amazing group of people. I used to love Dave R. but he went on a strange different path. Bring back Frank Conniff if possible, where did he go?
I became a TYT member just for this show and these 4 make up the best panel. I hope Nomiki and Malcolm are on every show, along with Jimmy & Steve of course. Jon Stewart is sorely missed but at least we have Jimmy to help fill the void.
I would argue that because Trevor Noah grew up in an area that he was exposed to a lot of racism, he is more likely to view things from that point of view. I think if you respectfully brought up the inconsistencies to him he would change his point of view. I think we all had our hopes on Obama(including Obama), just to find out that the system is too corrupt.
Since everyone is jumping on the Nomi is amazing bandwagon I have something a bit different to say…. Overall I really like her HOWEVER she has name dropper syndrome. Instead of dropping names though she drops little pieces of unverified information to remind everyone that she used to be an insider, that she used to know all this gossip and what not and it needs to stop. “Well that’s why Obama hates Burnie or that’s what the rumors were with insiders” (as one example from this episode there were more). She says stuff like that that in no way shape or form moves the conversation forward… just wants us all to remember she used to have an inside beat. Her inside information can be very helpful and great for discussion but at least 50% of the time it’s just worthless and sketchy at best.
Otherwise as with all episodes of this show I agree with some things disagree with others but found it thoughtful
Wow, so not only is money considered free speech, but free speech depends on “ranking” in the world. Pretty clear that wealth and position gives you more free speech than a normal citizen.
300,000,000 is only about 20,000/day for 30 years. You can’t expect anyone to get by on $20,000 a day.
This show is good! Naomi you have a sexy voice when you’re not yelling
Sorry, Steve. Obama is a liar, a coward, a murderer, and a war criminal. He is not a nice guy corrupted by a bad system. ( I voted for him once and was in Lincoln Park on election night in 2008, by the way.) Everyone is responsible for themselves and their own actions. Wealthy people can come across as “nice” with “good intentions” but they are not stupid and are fully capable of seeing that the system they benefit from is destroying lives and the biosphere itself. Civilization is in full emergency alert but few can see the problem because their paycheck depends on their not seeing it. The affluent can give lip service to social criticism but in the end play their role in making the coming calamity inevitable.
Obama is the master self-promoter. He cares about himself and that’s it. Super fraud – super letdown!
Great panel – the best yet! My favorite show of the week. Aggressive Progressive T-shirts available yet? Please?
I was born an Agressive Progessive , I’m glad the world has finally caught up to me.
How can anyone justify obama taking money for his wallstreet speech? NOBODY’s speech is worth $400k – it’s clear that he’s still selling access.
I am sorry to admit this but I only began contributing to TYT to get the full AP show. I understand the great work TYT is doing and always thought of putting some cash in but Jimmy is a whole different kind of guy. I have a hard to time listening to Cenk and Anna blabbing about what they think is ok or not. Some of the shows have devolved to a Bill O opinion piece type of commentary. The “new rising star” ads are kinda pathetic too. Despite that I still strongly support the myriad of incredible actions TYT engages in. SO WELL DONE TYT!!
Knock em out Jimmy, you are worth watching, and I seem to wind up on youtube giving every one of your segments a thumbs up. My wife loves you, I gave up yelling at the Corp TV and instead listen to you yelling for me. It’s better for my heart and easier on the dog.
This show get better and better ever week.
How can DWS use the word “integrity” without bursting into flames?
Wish the judge was a rebulican! as much as I hate them
Praying every night that DWS’s cancer comes back.
AP is the best.
I’m sorry Steve, can’t agree with you on Obama.
He doesn’t care. I think maybe Obama DID care, once.
But he gave up, plain & simple. He gave up.
He has rationalized to himself that the “System” is too strong.
He must have rationalized it.
Otherwise, it would mean that he calculated his beautiful words as a way for himself to reach the top, First Minority American President. That he NEVER believed them. It is the behavior of a sociopath.
He doesn’t care that US citizens have poisoned water.
He doesn’t care that cops are brutalizing protesters and average citizens AND are getting away with it.
He doesn’t care that women, children, old people are being torn apart and burned by HIS bombs.
He doesn’t care that fracking is jeopardizing our fresh water, which is finite btw. It is becoming more and more scarce. He just does NOT give a shit.
What I want to know is how Michelle Obama or his 2 daughters can stand to look him in the eye.
Michelle is a horrible person as well. They do NOT care because they will NEVER be middle class or poor again, so they have willingly sold their souls to the devil, and their daughters souls as well.
Why do people get so incensed by Obama’s selling out?
Because his voters “fell in love” with a LIE. I don’t know that he ever had any intention of helping anyone.
Remember, until Biden “outed” him on gay marriage, he had NO intention on doing anything.
He’s a fraud and I have to stop writing, cuz it just makes my blood boil.
Also, fuck Trevor Noah.
Jon Stewart made a quick escape and the Daily Show Corporate overlords put a nice, pretty, easy-to control PUPPET in place of someone who actually knew how to speak truth to power.
The Daily Show … use to NEVER miss it … now I will NOT watch it … same with Colbert.
he cared when he was a senator! not after that!
Best show ever PERIOD
Please have Nomi on more. She knows the inside stuff and speaks with such passion and knowledge. Others do too, but I feel Nomi would be more palatable to my less-progressive friends who could be turned off by the anger and yelling of others. Don’t get me wrong… I love the yelling and anger :)), but I’d love to open the eyes of my friends a bit more.
PS: Appreciate you all!
Jimmy, are you guys ever going to come to Atlanta? I don’t blame you if you don’t, as Atlanta is an incredibly corporate city, but it would be awesome to see you all here.
Rejoined as a member because of AP and the TYT politics gang. Took a couple of days for me to get over some of the main show stuff I saw recently that got to the core of my nerves. It’s a challenge sometimes to let go and keep in mind the stuff on TYT that has great value to me. Also, I am reminded that the network and well as its base (we) are always evolving and that none of us are going to be on the same page or demonstrate the best judgement or do their best work 100% of the time.
Love AP! Thank you for another great show
Perhaps the best AP yet! Thank you Jimmy, Malcolm, Steve and Nomi! Great panel. Malcolm, you are seriously funny! (Big fan of Friday PG also!)
So Hillary is cheering for demonstrators who are standing up for what they believe in? ouch!! she stands for nothing that a sane person would want, why speak up at all – cheez she should just shut up and go away
Your show is better than the mainline two hours with Cenk and Ana. You deal with the big issues, not sale and trivia.
Aggressive Progressives is my favourite show on TYT, I look forward to it every week. With Nomi on, it just got even better.
I’m a San Franciscan currently living in the UK, and I seriously stay up until 2am to catch AP during the live stream every week. Keep up the great work!
In my house, Thursday means Agressive Progressive night. I never miss it. Tonight was especially good. Thanks! Love you guys!
Jimmy Dore is so intelligent when doing this work. What a great panel.
Upvote
This show is why I became a member…. Cenk please give Jimmy anything he wants…. He’s your Bernie Sanders.
I agree. Love TYT, but Jimmy and Jordan are why I became a member.
ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL SHOW! Perfect panel.
Hi! No video or audio for this show is here… ??
Amazing show.
Steve, would you sign your name on a cluster bomb bill? That’s not just being corrupt, that’s a serious disease.
Love you guys!
Only reason I’m still paying TYT after all that loser trump garbage on the main channel. For Christ sake the man just won the republican primary and you call him a loser?
They dont give a shit what ppl think cuz they think that the ppl have no where to go. But this isn’t about opinions or even fraud I don’t think. This is:
“We gotta keep that mon-nay no matter what”
Best AP show I’ve seen. Love the WWJD segment!
Jimmy, I LOVE YOU, but what does Noah’s “country” status matter? Is this really a progressive issue?
#1 Who cares that you’ve been here for longer than Noah has. Trump has been in this country for longer than I have, does that mean he knows more about this country than I do? Odd comment.
#2 Noah’s not making this about race, he’s saying corruption is green not white. I’m not making an endorsement of Obama, rather an endorsement of the idea that corruption has no race.
#3 Black people aren’t some homogeneous group. I’m so tired of politicians using black people to prove a point and it’s even harder when you hear it from a progressive panel. If I don’t know what black folks think, how do you? Guys — when someone from the establishment calls you a racist don’t get mad — just know you’re getting close to the truth, don’t fall into the very trap you claim to be exposing. These aren’t racial issues, they are economic issues. Noah is in the establishment class. He is defending his class — not his race; and they love segments like this. And yes, I am defending Noah’s stupid comment — it does not make me a black duped racist. Likewise, just because you think Obama is a sell out, it doesn’t make you a white duped racist. We are two people with opinions.
#4 Stick to the facts, we are divided by economics, not race. Perhaps this is what you were intending to highlight with this segment, but it didn’t come off well.
Point 2 is a load of crap. If Trevor’s “Fuck that and fuck you!” in response to Obama being criticized for taking money from speeches had absolutely nothing to do with race, he wouldn’t have prefaced it by saying how unfair it is to expect him to be one of the first Presidents in recent history to not take money from Wall Street because being the first black President should be enough.
It’s the same as all the Clintonisas who called me sexist (and then condescendingly talked about my internalized misogyny when they found out I’m female) for criticizing HRC taking Wall Street money, and whined “No one said anything in 2008 when Obama did it! Why does a woman get held to a higher standard?!”
Trevor Noah’s absolutely included a racial component. The biggest aspect, though, was probably the element of him being better than Trump and part of the establishment…thus an establishment comedian like Noah would feel compelled to defend him. You are right about that. However, it’s just disingenuous to say that race had nothing to do with it when Trevor Noah directly brought up the fact that Obama was the first black President…as if that has anything to do with whether he should be called out for corruption!
What a great panel.
Yup, I LOVE this show. My favorite 90 minutes of the week often.
Audio download doesn’t work! How can I download it?
Great show. I love this show so much, that I woke up Wednesday and immediately thought, “just one more day until Aggressive Progressives” is on!!
Thanks so much for making every Thursday a little bit like Christmas :-)
MRAs are for women’s rights as well as everyone’s. please watch Red pill documentary.
maybe there are some assholes that are using MRA name to do harm but all the MRAs i looked up are peaceful.
Great show and great job TYT!
Look into the Friends of Coal and their propaganda campaigns, like the Coal in the Classroom program. Fascism has been in WV for decades. What hope do we have of ending fossil fuels when the industry indoctrinates the youth for their cause? Yet, whenever anything happens to us, like the poisoning of 300,000+ people with a chemical they still haven’t researched, you have people like your very own Dave Koehler blaming West Virginians for essentially poisoning themselves by not voting progressive. I fight for Flint, and Standing Rock. I see things happening to people in other states that they’ve been doing to us for decades which is why I’m trying to get others to pay attention to this. West Virginia’s past is America’s future! Look into the mine wars if you don’t believe me.
Mine wars… thank you. Battle of Blair mountain. So much history there that will turn your world upside down. I never comment on threads, but this show might be different haha.
I believe in radical openness, which basically means that anyone could convince me to believe almost anything. Not that they will or won’t, but I feel that living like that can open you up and make people feel less threatened by you. I am saying this in the context of politics right now but it can apply to anything.
Just a small comment: you should not put a blanket dismissal on all of the MRA movement. Just like in the radical feminist movement, there are a lot of stupid issues, like manspreading and toilet seat lifting, but there is one life changing issue that you are ignoring now and will understand later: the rights over your kids. You are all young and mostly married for the first time or single. When you have to fight to not lose your children you start to understand the MRA.
I have more respect for those who focus on the issue of custody as a singular issue and don’t associate with the other crap.
jaymeister – Exactly
Fabulous show! Real and refreshing truthtelling.
As always, love the show. I didn’t have much time this week to watch the Jimmy Dore Show, which made this a refreshing first take. (Don’t worry Jimmy, I’ll go back over the episodes when I can.)
Also, in terms of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, why is she allowed to comment on TV. Didn’t her own party fire her? Wasn’t she disgraced? CNN have her on to talk about corruption, what is going on?
The news defends Obama because they take money and can use it to make Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders look like crazy people and everyone else normal…a normal people would take free money, right? We should just ignore the fact that Obama is extremely rich.
Join because of Aggressive Progressives, keep up the good work.

Great show, great panel! Don’t let Nomiki leave! jk
HOPE i can make it up to Chicago June 9-11 for the peoples sumit & TJDS because both Nomi & Jimmi are serious truth tellers
#TooStrong
this is the show
I don’t understand the need to deny any racial dimension to the criticism of Obama accepting the $400k.
Race doesn’t have to be the only factor, or even the main factor. But race is always a factor in America. Always. And the left is not immune.
you are absolutely right. I criticized Hillary Clinton for taking Wall street money because she’s white and I fucking hate white people.
Great show. Maybe the best yet.
My progressive cup runeth OVERRRRRRR!!!
Don’t FREAK OUT!
Loving your work people, keep burning down the house people and go Nomi, excellent!!!
I just LOVE Jimmy’s Tom Perez impersonation. Abso-frigging-lutely hilarious!
Impression, not impersonation. My bad.
My weekly release valve, Thanks peps.
Nomi is rapidly becoming my favorite TYT’er. Jimmy is the man as always. The more of those two the better!
Greatest show on TYT period! #Bop
