  1. Leave those glasses on Ana, waaaay sexy.

Plus wearing out you eyes results you squinting like heck and laying the groundwork for all those dreaded lines around the eyes!

    Glasses…..STAT! :-)

  2. Trump’s War on the Working Class is only somewhat more intense than the Vast War on the Working Class we already had well before Trump. You’re only at least 20 years late in starting the segment, and the most disconcerting conclusion of all is that it took a president Trump before you saw fit to make it. But “better late than never” is still your saving grace, so kudos regardless.

  3. The farmer haters need to factor in that most farmers are struggling not wealthy and charging more for food would more than likely just mean more imported food and higher prices.

  4. Farmers declaring that they’ll pay $11 per hour is not impressive. That’s not enough money for someone to even say yes to a job that they would enjoy. Jobs that are undesirable should pay MORE than jobs that are fun or easy. If we were talking $30 per hour, then count your applicants and people who show up the first day. Even if that didn’t work, wouldn’t that be proof that they should be paying even more than that? Isn’t that how basic supply and demand of labor is supposed to work when businesses are not allowed to cheat by exploiting people who are not even supposed to be part of that labor pool?

  5. I hope Ana will start wearing the glasses. This is TYT, not Fox News. We’re not gonna be ableist and say glasses are a problem.

So I hope Ana will strike a blow for all the glasses-wearing people and prove that they’re just as gorgeous as anyone, and that they CAN be on TV. Because they are, and they can be.

Besides, I don’t want Ana to get a headache or have trouble reading her notes just because some Mad Men-era nonsense says women with glasses aren’t presentable or some shit. Nonsense. On the contrary. Women look great with glasses. I can’t be the only person who thinks so.

  6. i love tyt network. I’m going to be honest its almost my birthday and i had a few whiskies to celebrate it. while i was donating to the tyt drive i accedently donated 127$ twice in a row. Now im not taking it back i just fill we should be able to laugh at our little blunders so yall better get to 2mill or my drunken blunder will have gone to waist

  8. Brilliant, Ben’s Idea of a daily segment “Trump’s war on the working Class” would be excellent. Make it daily and available on youtube. And for god sakes, fucking relax on telling Trump voters that they are idiots for voting for him. It is their badge of honor “to be one of the deplorables” to quote my uncle. Give the facts, draw the lines to the negative economic effect on all of us, and stop blaming voters. In a class struggle, they are our allies, treat them as such.

  9. Disincentives only work when incentives are offered as well. We used to pay North Korea to not develop nukes. Bush dropped the ball and Obama never really picked it back up. To my knowledge Bill Clinton was the last President to actually go to the DMZ while in office. One of my least favorite President’s but he was really good on North Korea. Actually tried to reach out to Kim IL-sung. Probably did it because there’s money for corporations to make there if we make peace, but he was good nonetheless. We’ve been wishy-washy at best for the past 16 years

  10. Farmers do not pay people who live in the states enough wages. People in the states don’t want to do hard labor in the sun all day long for minimum wage or slightly more. Our families don’t live in Mexico They live here in the states so the money is shit for us. Its slightly better for them since they live in Mexico and get to send money back and live at a cheaper rate than us. But for the people that don’t go back and work undocumented get totally screwed and get shit pay and pay into our SS and receive nothing and also pay high cost of living in the states. US farming industry is totally fucked up for everyone. It is also the same for construction. Why would Citizens work at farms when they can make more money serving tables or at some gas stations? If I was undocumented I would rather work at the farms since you are not working around other people and feel much safer especially if you don’t really speak english. I have nothing against people working. I have a big gripe with farmers and construction jobs not paying everyone fair wages.

  11. The rise of food prices because of Trump’s cruel immigration policies should be a part of that daily “Trump’s War on the Working Class” segment. You should also put the daily segment in a short clip that is shareable. (from Carla not John)

  12. Ben love your idea of the daily focus on the war on the working class it is awesome. Instead of Trumps war call it the republican administration’s war on the working class It open people’s eyes to the party that bolstered him.

    1. Mtlandholm, good point, but people need a single, solitary actor to focus upon and Trump would be it. Now, during the segment, the content would include mentions of Basket of Deplorables’ occupants, such as, Paul Ryan, et. al.

  13. North Korea is a tough problem to crack. First thing is we need to make clear is what we will tolerate from North Korea. Do you want them to give up their nukes? Not going to happen without military force. That would cause the deaths of 100s of thousands if not millions of Koreans. Do we want them to give up their long range missile program? Would be hard to accomplish, but with some diplomatic skill it might happen. Do we want to remove Un as the leader? Will be difficult without starting a war that kills millions. Do we want to unify the Koreas? China will probably do almost anything to prevent that. I don’t want a war but I want them to give up their missile program. I can live with North Korea having nukes. I don’t really want that, but I’m not willing to start a war and possibly kill millions over their nukes.

What does North Korea want? Kim Jung-Un wants to survive as the leader and he probably wants to have his children rule North Korea. Are we willing to start a war to prevent that? They built a bomb and are working on long range missiles as a way to prevent an American invasion. It is nearly impossible that they will use a nuke unless they feel provoked and they think their regime is about to end. They are holding Japan and South Korea hostage to deter an American plot that ends their reign. There really isn’t much we can do in the short-term to remove Un. We will need China to help us in the long-run remove him. Maybe with China’s help we can cause the regime to collapse from the inside. This is were Trump needs someone with some brains to develop a long term strategy to remove Un without starting a war. It won’t be easy. But provoking and threatening Un and his regime will probably only lead to war. Un, China, and Trump want to save face and be seen as strong. With all of these weapons pointed at millions of people that could lead to millions of deaths.

  14. YES!! “trump’s war on the working class”.
    brilliant.
please follow up on this. DAILY.
    it will get picked up.
this could bring him down .

  15. Ben interrupts people as much as he musses his hair. Which is constantly, wtf, Ana shut that shit down, don’t deal with that. Particularly bad around 27:45 to 28:30.

  16. Ben is spot on. Focus must turn away from Trump-the-clown to Trump-the-Vandal (in the historical sense of the word)

  17. Actually, undocumented (illegal) immigration is a problem, but we could make changes to our immigration policies that could make it possible for farmers and some industries to allow more documented immigrants into the country. While I agree that undocumented immigrants aren’t taking jobs away from American citizens, we do have to recognize that undocumented immigrants suffer because they have no recourse if they are paid lower wages than what was mentioned, are assaulted, or robbed. I’m sure there are many other issues that can affect the undocumented immigrant and their existence in America, for them and our governmental institutions, which why better immigration policies that allow documented immigrants into the country is massively important. Thanks for the chance for me to rant.

    1. How many undocumented immigrants come here, because being assaulted by an American is better than being attacked by the cartels. How many undocumented immigrants believe that low wages on the farms is better than almost no wages on farms in Mexico. What recourse do they really have in Mexico.

    1. I keep thinking it’s April 2016 and we’re still going through the primaries and caucuses since Bernie and Ted Cruz are on TV everyday until I hear some anchor saying President Trump.

      1. Baresi and MaryV, I’ve had similar experiences, but I also imagine still seeing Rick Perry. Is what I don’t understand is how Trump broke the formula. I thought you had to be a heartless governor of Texas before you became a stupid president.

  18. Trump totally plays off ofpeoples fears. He sets up terrible situations and then makes it so the ultimate outcome teeters on him vs the other person. He’s like a classic High-school,TV villain threatening everyone to a game of chicken.

  19. whenever Cenk is out of town, my podcast doesn’t download. I had to come here and manually download the audio like a barbarian.

  20. Hey TYT, can you do some more Trump stories? I feel like you’re really not covering him enough. “Let no Tweet go uncovered!” – Edward R. Murrow

    1. Seeing that TYT is a Political Talk Show, Trump is the President and Congress is MIA I think that covering Trump is part of their job description.

  21. Take a look at FOX news for a few minutes and how they are lauding how much Trump has accomplished in the first 100 days. …If only the Republicans would get behind him how much he could accomplish! If you ever doubted there are two realities take a look!

    1. Wynsong, I cannot take your reasonable suggestion because I do not want to put any money into Fox News’ pockets by watching a monetized video on YouTube. I refuse to enrich them. As the panel has discussed during this hour, Fox is right because of the power of Executive Orders. Yet, for the 100-Days hallmark, are any other left-leaning or progressive news/politics shows discussing Trump’s successes with Executive Orders? This is why it is so important to have a “Trump’s War on Workers” segment during the first hour as the first story for every week-daiy TYT show.
