  1. at the beginning of the oxford debate Cenk, you should offer your opponent a cheque on the condition that he now supports your cause, and ask him if he thinks this is fair or an obvious bribe, just to show how indefensible his position is….

  2. Writing a book is just a matter of putting good words on the page in the right order. Bernie very likely had a ghost writer interview him, take those notes (and possibly his notes,) and turn it into a book. Most celebrities, politicians, religious figures don’t write their books. They either don’t have the time, the skill, or the inclination, but they do have the money. They hire people to do it for them, then their name goes on the cover, and they *think* it will sell thousands of copies. Most of those physical copies are returned to the publishers and either end up in remainder stores or get recycled. Good ghosts get paid a decent livable wage, and write about three books a year (depending on the subject and who they work with.) Some have contacts with agents and publishing houses, others just know people who know people. ;-)

  3. Cenk, the Oxford comma is IMMENSELY important.

If a fascist, a con man, and a pervert walk into a bar, then 3 deplorable people have walked into a bar.

If a fascist, a con man and a pervert walks into a bar, then Trump has walked into a bar.

  4. So the Oxford comma you guys just got all wrong LOL.

ex. My favourite foods are pizza, peanut butter and jelly, and chocolate chip cookies.

The Oxford comma is used when listing things and is simply the new-ish rule that you are supposed to put a comma before the conjunction (typically ‘and’ or ‘or’ in a list). The example above illustrates when using it can be important as the comma before the second ‘and’ specifies that ‘peanut butter and jelly’ are meant as one subject as well as separates ‘chocolate chip cookies’ as its own subject in the list.

I was a word nerd as a kid and this rule happened in like 3rd or 4th grade…. I was traumatized :3

    1. My favorite example is this:

Yesterday I met my friend John the priest and Peter. Depending on where you put the comma I met either 2, 3 or 4 people and might have given a more specific description about my friend, John or my friend John. :D I just love this stuff

  5. I have been watching and supporting TYT for years. This episode was incredibly important for me because it revealed what makes TYT so fucking awesome.

JOHN IADEROLA nailed it in his mini rant that takes place from about 35’50 to 36’50, when he explains why TYT is so different from CNN and other MSM outlets.

I just replayed that snippet 3x – LOVE IT. Johnny Fontaine, you rock.

  6. UNITY was also the slogan that Clinton used when she endorsed Obama after the 2008 primaries. They even attempted the same tactics to manufacture consent. Eg, At the 2008 convention, Hillary stopped the primary vote count to give Obama the nomination by acclaim. Then in 2016, they got Bernie to do the same thing and hoped people would fall in line! What the leaders don’t get is that there are substantive differences between Hillary’s and Bernie’s positions and that you actually have to make the other side feel heard, not belittled. Even with Bernie cooperating (or coerced) in the theater, they couldn’t fool most of us. The establishment’s pride and hubris is killing the Democratic party through self-inflicted wounds. One thing we can agree with Republicans on, is that the leaders have become corrupted by power and have forgotten how to listen to the people.

  7. No kidding. I knew exactly what the damn thing was but every explanation made me as confused and uninterested as Cenk!

    1. Yes! I second Achiles question! Part one and two only totals 1.5 hours. Where is the last hour? If that could be posted, it would be greatly appreciated!

  8. Have you ever heard of Jonathan haidt and his books

I have a mostly liberal baleaf with a side order of progressive
I think the current climate of politics and people in general
But i think both sides of the politicle spectrum is needed progressive too
Bring new ideas for human benafit ;conservatives to keep a sistem running with there beleliefs liburals to be the ones to coment on the system and the rich four a goal but now with money in polatics and a upcoming economy crash how do you think we can fix it how will you stop a repeat of what happend to berney
    And to wolf pack
And in the places you lost in will you use familiarise not just the people who puled tbe plug on your couse in the states . can you get the wolf pack to make it very easy too even after you lost in those states for them to hear more and more people ask why and slowly at firs door too door have it expand tbrough internet what xo you think

  9. Recently subscribed for payed access and im glad i did .
I know that news politics are complicated but i got a question anyway.
Q1 . what do you think of the extremist on both ends of leftist and rights
More specifically people that in the left that abuse or smear campain teachers
And give progressives a bad name making easy materials to de justify your couse.

Hope you guys in wolf pack succeed in your fight
And i hope you find new avenues to get to your goals
Hope i here u in the show

  10. Why isn’t TYT a non-profit? Who profits from the network? Is Cenk the sole owner of the business? Are there shareholders?

      1. i remember watching this when cenk first mentioned it a few months ago. greenwalds views are nuanced and he says he prefers all money out of politics instead of just CU. i guess cenk didn’t remember the details but in this tyt video it sounded worse than it actually is.

  11. I love your project but I believe the phrasing “getting money out of politics” is misleading.

After all politics IS about money; how to collect it and how to spend it.

    1. there is more missing, they prolly had to go home and couldn’t finish the post production. They seem to start posting again around 9AM PDT/ Noon EDT

(why Old School takes two days is still a mystery)

      1. Agree drives me nuts that Old school takes over 2 days coming from the Eastern Time Zone ????
And I hope there are more videos coming up since the last few days worth of videos have had the worst cut offs moments…. I know I only pay 10 dollars a month but Comeon people stop cutting off your show just keep it in ONE place!!

    1. From Wikipedia:

“Classical liberalism is a political ideology and a branch of liberalism which advocates civil liberties under the rule of law, and emphasizes economic freedoms found in economic liberalism which is also called free market capitalism.”

Given Glenn’s defense of CU, it seems that Jimmy was spot on – Glenn is indeed a “Classical Liberal”.

      Do you disagree?

    2. He wasn’t calling Glenn a classical liberal. He was mocking Dave Rubin for using the term classical liberal. He does it quite a bit. So when you hear him go on about Classical Liberal it’s a comment against Dave Rubin.

  12. Real life example of why the oxford comma is important:
A: (what I meant to say) “This is my girlfriend, Arissa.”
as in “hey arissa this is my gf.”

B: (what I said) “This is my girlfriend Arissa.”
as in “crap crap crap crap”

  13. This was literally a 54 minute circlejerk. I understand it was thrown together last minute but that doesn’t mean you have to spend the whole time reviewing all the issues you agree on while Cenk builds the largest army of strawmen the world has ever seen. His ability to COMPLETELY understand the inner workings and motivations of everyone who disagrees with him politically is truly astounding.

  14. Not entirely correct anyway. It’s simply the last comma before the final item (usually before the and or or)

“I like apples, oranges, bananas, and beats.”

It’s the one after bananas. This wasn’t complicated…

    1. Thank you! Funny that they talked so much about the oxford comma without having a clue what it was. In Ana’s example, it’s really the comma after Lady Gaga, not parents. No one’s debating the need for a comma after parents… Not that it’s a big deal, in the grand scheme of things. Just odd.

  15. I just want to point out the obvious and say how freaking awesome Jordan is and has been over the last year and some! Go team TYT for hiring that dude, cos he has been slamming dunk ever since he started! :)

  16. TYT is totally an echo chamber.

My favorite parts about it are the smooth, melodic, really almost orgasmic sounds of those Friday Power Panels with Jimmy, Ben, and Michael when Former Secretary Of State Clinton comes up. The harmonized sound of them agreeing with each other… just… mmm.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Fuck that guy at the Daily Banter and his op-ed.

    1. Bahaha I thought you were serious at first glance lol. I like your style! Nothing I like more than the relaxing symphony of back and forth bickering between them, with my feet kicked up and a drink in hand of course! :P Go team!

  17. Easiest ever example:
    Let’s eat, Nancy.
    Let’s eat Nancy.

Totally changed the meaning of the sentence that Oxford Comma placement.

  18. @Gigi – I watched part of the stream towards the end and I remember there was more (don’t know if it aired prior to this or after, but it was this panel). The talked about Al Jazeera at one point. Will there be a Part 3 posted? Was hoping to re-listen.
