Cenk, I definitely think you should purchase an autosomal DNA kit for both you and Ana. Armenians and modern Turks have the same genetic roots, and I think learning that you’re more similar than different is an important first step in addressing all the hate between Armenians and Turks, which seems to be very prevalent within the Youtube comment section.
I can understand this issue to a smaller degree. My best friend is Serbian, and she has reiterated to me that Serbia did nothing wrong in Kosovo even though my family suffered through it. Nor does she know anything about the murder of thousands of Albanians in the early 20th century by the Serbian military, or the expulsion of a million Albanians to Turkey. Anyway, my point is that she is still my friend regardless of what she thinks. I’m saddened that she doesn’t want to explore the issue a little further, but I know that it’s self-preservation and not hatred on her part. To the Armenians who are angry with Cenk or any other Turk who used to deny or currently denies the Armenian Genocide, you have to feel sorry for them. How would you feel if your identity was forever tied to a horrendous injustice in history? I would personally feel sickened and might want to deny it.
Also, all of us are perpetrators of some evil to someone. For instance, Albanians treat Roma populations like shit. According to many of them, there is very little value in them as human beings, meanwhile, these same people can simultaneously be angry at Macedonians for valuing them in the same way. We must all take a look at ourselves before we throw stones, and instead of being angry at past injustices, we should try to forge peaceful relationships in the present.
I honestly can’t stand the hate anymore. Let’s all just move the fuck on and forgive.

I know if I were to become a public figure, I would probably have to constantly explain some of the things I used to think, and would be happy to, if it spread to the organization I helped create.

If he was super vocal about it in his youth, he may have to be even more vocal about his change of heart to permeate people looking to attack him. And this is, pretty much, the only thing he can be attacked on. I also believers stupid things in my youth and I also have to reiterate that fact that I don’t think those things anymore at least a few times a year, especially to people I don’t see very often.
It the sun. we all started to be all white. but for the people who stay in Africa and any sunny and hot location create dark pigment in the skin to protect you from the sun. It why for dark skin people it is hard to get sun burn because generation upon generation the sun condition the skin to protect you from the sun rays. While people who go to location that is more cloudy to cold. the skin became even whiter because the skin does not need to protect you from the sun in those locations.
Other way round. We all started African. Peoples who moved to more Northern climes evolved lighter skin to take in Vitamin D from the sun since there is less sun exposure further from the equator.
What’s the hardest part about being a TYT member? Defending Cenk’s change in his stance on the Armenian genocide. Is it possible for him to make anther sort of statement somewhere, I don’t think he’s made one in a few years? It’s the main insult thrown out to discredit the entire network, so it would be prudent to get him to be a little clearer on his position.
He has made statements on this ad naseum. He had that opinion on the Armenian Genocide when he was a douchy conservative in his younger days. I really don’t think he needs to keep explaining himself. When I was 20, I thought many dumb things too.
I really don’t defend it more than reminding people the transition Cenk has gone through since he wrote that article (like jumping from being a conservative to a progressive) and the fact that he is one of the most progressive show hosts out there. Come on! He is not a historian and I’m not here for a history lesson.
