The UK had many more troops in Korea than Turkey. And I think Canada and Thailand and had sightly more troops than Turkey.

Oh yeah, Cenk’s Korea story brought back a story I read some time ago, about Turks fighting with American forces. I forget details, like title and such, but the end of the story recounts the experience of cold, hungry troops near death after a near massacre by NK soldiers. Out of the smoke from the battle lines comes a single Turkish soldier, crisp, impeccably clean and optimistic, who buoyed up the small contingent and helped get them to food, warmth, and safety. Only one thing was amiss with the Turk, however. His feet and lower legs were sopping with blood, most probably NK, as if he waded into deep pools of it as he was killing the enemy, but remained clean and creased! Weird and crazy and my memory can be unreliable sometimes, but that little but of story stood out and was recalled listening to Cenk.
