  1. I love the dynamic of these 3, they each bring a unique perspective and commentary to the stories. Hasan seems intimidated by Ana and it makes me giggle, but I love all three of them!

  2. I think I will wait until the number of bad comments about Has to reduce, at least, below the number of good comments about Has before I start watching Hour 2 where he is co-hosting. I watched several Hour 2’s with him on it so far, I see where the haters are coming from. He may give good breakdowns but that is what TYT members should expect; therefore, his attitude is an issue which is consistent with what other members are trying to address. Please rectify.

  3. Has is not that bad. I feel like his opinions are well researched and finely presented and also bring a variation to the sometimes repetitiveness of ana and sometimes cenk. I also like his relationship most of the time with grace. His attitude is definitely the main issue. He rarely shows active listening skills like even looking at the person speaking or like he’s engaged with what other people are saying, coupled with speaking over people or laughing at them speaking it does seem really rude, which i think is what puts most people off.

  4. Hasan is showing improvement, however slight, when he is on the main show. You can tell when he almost stopped his first “fuck” that he is trying to present more professionally. We all want a little joke here and there as well as long as it is not interrupting the stories, has good timing, and knows when to stop. He brings some of that. He does seem to do background research and will bring up points and a perspective others do not at times. So there is that. He could get better, but not looking like we want to give him that time to practice.

  5. I like having Hasan and Grace on the show. Hasan has an dry/arrogant sense of humor which I’ve actually come to enjoy and Grace provides good commentary and some much needed comic relief to serious and depressing stories.
All the haters need to chill.

  6. took Ana 15 seconds to take control back of the show from Hasan, who kept talking while she was trying to start the show. the problem with Hasan when he is with others (people like him on Facebook when he is by himself) is that he has to be the loudest and funniest ALL the time. He is not that funny.
Now, lets try to watch the other 45 minutes… good lord….

  7. Hey- Hasan fan. Hasan is not bad he has a more of a young millennial attitude which is good because of all the FB people his videos reach on a daily basis. I’ll admit I needed a few weeks of videos before warming up to Hasan but his comedy in his commentary is dry/subtle and much more sophisticated than most people would say.

  8. I wish someone on the panel mentioned the fact that, WE (the United States) stooped as low as chemical weapons.

    1. Exactly! The U.S. is the only nation to have stooped as low as using nuclear weapons. We also used agent orange and napalm in Viet Nam, and more recently, white phosphorus in Iraq. As someone once said, “you think we’re so innocent?”

    1. Wow. I didn’t see the rest of these comments when I posted. Now I feel bad. I didn’t mean to pile on. Hasan seems like a nice guy with good intentions. I just don’t find a lot of value in his commentary. It’s as if he’s trying to be something he is not. Let’s just say, he’s not one to criticize Ivanka Trump, her husband, or Uday & Qusay Trump for nepotism. Oops. I did it again.

      1. i see ur points, but if you can muster up the courage to watch his facebook vids or his “breakdown” vids on youtube then you will realize he is totally different when he is alone, and also his smarts and humor really come out when he is alone doing the breakdown. i remember being really impressed by those videos and his articles on huffpost, seemed like a different person.

  9. I think Hasan provides a needed devil’s advocate in contrast to Ana and Grace. If anything, he should be more arrogant and less afraid to express his opinion, or his offhand thoughts even if they disagree with ‘acceptable’ discourse.

    Also, hire Michael Wood.

  10. Can we get some of the Hasan supporters to speak up in the comments section? I know there are more of us than these silly, NOISY haters. He made half of the good points of the entire second hour! Just because he has an occasional outburst and is less uptight than Ana and Grace, he should never be heard from again?

  11. Hey, truth in advertising, flying right usually involves brutalizing minorities. United against the consumer

  12. “Becky” always reminds me of the intro to Sir Mixalot’s “Baby got back”. Definitely pegs my generation. Haha. But wondering if that has anything to do with the reference.
Also, not for nothing but reading all the above comments about Has & I’m surprised people are so down on him. I think he made a really good point/catch about Eric Trump’s “slip” about the attack serving to assuage concerns with Russia in this show & I’ve always enjoyed him on shows before. I agree that the conversation generally gets off track more often when he’s on, but I don’t think it’s fair to say his commentary is devoid of value. Just saying.

  13. Not a fan of Hasan sitting in – even if its just the second hour. I think it does a lot of damage to the brand when they fall for these ‘establishment’ practices of taking care of their own. Let the best person for the job do the job. Makes it hard to be critical of nepotism (which is actually quite damaging to hardworking underdogs).
Also – please stop doing those plugs for your shows. Its not all about you.

  14. As Forrest Gump’s mamma said “stupid is as stupid does.” The American Sheepal deserve Trumplethinskin because so many of them cannot think for themselves. They rely on talking heads to form their opinions. Talking heads express the ideas that they think others want to hear. Which means they are not thinking themselves.

  15. I’m 68 years young and just joined. I joined because I do not watch corporate owned news media. I joined ProPublica as well because I grew-up watching Edward R. Murrow who was an investigative reporter. This country is losing good reporting and reporters. The main stream news media & internet is full of “chournalism” not journalism.

Sad too say, today it seems too me that TV news is about T & A!

    1. Hey uncle oddball, i just wanted to say hi and welcome you from australia. you sound like one of the few likable uncles :)

      1. Hi bm3racer :~ )
Thank you for the welcome. I’m glad that my 3 nephews ages 22, 18 and 13 can talk with me and feel free too express their thoughts and points of view. I guess it’s because I allow them to form their own points of view and opinions.

        1. elders would always tell me to think for yourself when i was younger, i hadn’t understood the importance of this as i had assumed people were honest & didn’t understand how bias worked. well into my adulthood i started to understand lol. as long as you teach them to be uber-critical (as I gather you are) i’m pretty sure they’ll be in good hands :)

  16. I really wish Hasan would not be On the main show. He distracts from the conversation and rarely has any importance points to make. I feel like he gives TYT a bad image, if I watched YouTube clips with him, I probably would not have gotten into the show and become a member. Grace on the other hand she is great!!!!! She always has great points and is actually funny, unlike Hasan. I would like to see more of her! And I love your show Murder with Friends. Getting back to the frat boy, I recomend TYT to all my friends, but with Hasan as a cohost I am to embarrassed to say I support you all. Please either tell him to grow up and stick to the facts he clearly knows, or don’t have him on.

  17. “Sean Spicer always likes to ‘spice it up’ and put his take on particular matters”…

…erm …as opposed to a 3 person panel discussing their views on the news???

    1. “That’s why I have no empathy or sympathy at all for Sean Spicer.
Like, this whole notion ‘oh he’s got such a tough job’…
No, no, he consented to that job, he wants that job, he’s still doing that job…”

      Excellent point.

So please remember it, for future shows.
When you’re trying to decide whether or not cover an announced upcoming story… because later you’re finding it a difficult news day because it’s all too emotional, or too tough.

You consented to the job, you wanted the job, you’re still doing that job.

    1. Because the way TyT is handling this is disrespectful and blatantly unfair. Has shouldn’t just -get- to be on the main show, and if people complain, well then he’s trying to improve. Which he is, don’t me wrong, I’m not blind, I see that he’s genuinely trying to win people over, rather than responding with condescension or arrogance. But there are no shortage of people the audience actually likes which are not here, and tons of people who would want to be on the show.

Remember all that talk about privilege? This is the clearest case of privilege on the TyT Network that I’ve ever seen, and I don’t like it. Even if he is sort-of moderately well liked now, he should, on principle, not be here after his earlier appearances have caused so much negative response. It’s treating the audience as a child; “here here I know you want this, but can you please just shut up and have a cookie?”

  18. Has is an acceptable fill in host. He’s grown on me but that’s mostly bc of his breakdowns. And that’s bc he’s usually telling me what I want to hear: a well articulated clap back to the talking head cons.

  19. I thought Hasan would rein in his mouth but I’m 3/4 of the way through and no, it appears he’s as clumsy and infantile as ever. Does this mean we’re stuck with him being on-air? Grace and Ana would have held down the hour admirably–and between the two, Grace and Hasan, Grace gets my vote with enthusiasm! She’s just better as a host, as her opinions are informed, and delivered succinctly.

  20. What’s with the swearing issue? I’ve noted it a few times now.

Also, and imo, they’re REALLY overhyping the UA footage.

  21. Admin needs to listen to the members when we say enough of fucking Has! Out of 7 comments 5 are asking him not to be on anymore yet like our politicians you ignore the majority. Enough already just because he’s Cenk nephew doesn’t mean we all need to kiss his ass and stroke his ego. Enabling does more harm then good.

    1. Hate to be a hater but have to agree, not only do I find him rarely adding anything of substance, he often interrupts or speaks up just to make sure he said something. I’ve donated to help hire more people, can we maybe scale back the Hasan as a favor? Please?

I like TYT a lot, I like the coverage they do, and I do like some of the personalities themselves – but I watch TYT for the content and coverage. For the information I can’t get easily from other “news” type video sources. I like that TYT is casual but, for me, Hasan proactively diverges from what I like about most about TYT – meaningful content.

    2. AGREED! Hasan brings the level of discourse down when he’s there. He doesn’t belong on the main show. It’s like someone let the douchey intern on the set by accident.

    3. I actually like Hasan’s solo videos they put up on FB, but I agree he hurts the discourse in panel discussions. Great scripted, not so much live.

    4. It’s actually insulting when I Hassan is on TYT when so many good commentators and reporters were hired from the journalism drive. I too, wish they would listen to the members about this. I watched the first hour, but I refuse to watch the second hour. I don’t know how to say it nicely, but it’s not good TV when he is on.

  22. yo grace is the most logical and possibly most intelligent person on tyt anyone feel me? and she literally only ever interjects when she had devastatingly relevant things to say. which is often. i would be smiles and smiles if she co-hosted more often

  23. Graced finally aggressive? I have not heard her say let us be fair nor anything like it yet. Just straight aggression. Good.

  24. PLEASE don’t have Hasan on anymore. He’s obviously too young and (seemingly) arrogant given his immaturity/sardonic nature to be on this show, even if it is just hour 2. He doesn’t bring anything to the table thats positive. Cant watch this show when he’s on as he’s off putting.

    1. My sentiments exactly! Grace, yes yes yes…Hasan, please just do your viewers a favor and sit quietly by keeping your extremely ill-formed and infantile opinions to yourself.

  25. Hasan again? I see he responded to the “hate” he gets from TYT fans. If he was not so full of himself to the point it is unbearable to watch perhaps he would not get so much criticism.
