  1. Trying to like these 2 sale out millennials who I couldn’t stand on their last appearance. Maybe this time will be different.

  2. Just to be clear with that last comment the power or systematic definition of racism sucks. Under that logic poor white people can’t be racist. The left needs to be weary of these mind games. What about the abuse of that disabled kid? Was that no racist because the perpetrators were powerless? Seems like a weak argument at best

  3. Black people can’t be racist? That is some straight ideology shit right there I like Tyt better with the regular post game crew.

  4. Yikes. That last story… wish Ana or Amberia had been around to give some commentary. I get that you were trying to make it a humorous anecdote about your failure to launch under pressure–but for me, there was no getting past the implication that you hired a “dime” prostitute in another country. TYT is always good for pointing out social injustice and inequalities, so maybe just be aware that many women are forced into sexual slavery around this world. It is a very real possibility that she was so understanding about your “setback” because she is possibly in danger of violence from Johns otherwise. I am definitely making a lot of assumptions, but they are based on the reality of the many women who are forced into sex work around this globe. I just know that this side of the story would have been brought up if you had one of the TYT ladies there.

  5. I prefer the regular Friday post-game with the regular crew. We’ve been trying other stuff lately and I don’t like it as much personally. Nice to let other people get camera time but I’d like to see more of Malcolm and Dave

  6. Hi Guys. Great show and great enthusiasm. I’m probably just getting old, but I did experience some discomfort at some of the things Ty said. I completely agree with all of his core points but think that he should take care to fact check his assertions so he doesn’t weaken his argument.

For example, the assertion that most poor people in the US are black or minorities seems highly debatable, a huge number of data sets like http://kff.org/other/state-indicator/poverty-rate-by-raceethnicity seem to indicate that blacks in the US are poor at a rate of about 3x that of “white” people in US. This would suggest that the claim that the “majority” of poor are black is patently absurd, as there are roughly 6 whites for every black in the US, meaning there are still twice as many poor whites in the country as poor blacks. Obviously I agree with your core point, and think you’re safe to speak hyperbolically in a members-only segment, I just want you to double-check facts before making such claims to avoid undermining your arguments. In this case, you would want to make it clear that blacks and other minorities are poor at a much higher rate than whites, due to a large number of socioeconomic factors including systemic racism. Nuance matters, and is something most of the Young Turks hosts are very careful with.

The same could be said of the assertion that black people can’t be racist, which seems patently absurd and also potentially harmful to your point, which (I think) might be that we’re not overly concerned about racist black people right now as they are overwhelmingly the victims of racism rather than the perpetrators of it. Still a great segment, thanks so much for coming on and for all the great work you’re doing in the field with Jordan and Nomiki.

  7. Man, you guys are hella REAL up in there. Love ya Griffin! Next Millenial Dumpster Fire it’s YOUR turn to tell us a wild story. Keep it up Jacorey, welcome on Ty.

After seeing Dave Chappelle’s skit with the blind black guy who got in with a bunch of white supremacists, are you SURE somebody black can’t be racist Ty? Racist by definition means believing yourself and those you consider in your ‘tribe’ to be superior to those not from your tribe. I’ve seen LOADS of black American racists over here in Japan, it’ll shock you to hear the same stuff coming from them that’s in Bannon’s Camp of the Saints playbook and Donald Trump’s outed and hidden recordings.

So I guess, Ty, you now have a destination for your last day on earth, huh. Sounds like those two bodies on the street did.

  8. Excellent Dumpster Fire Friday guys, this one was the best of all of them so far. Keep it up.

  9. Nestle was trying to privatize the water here in Oregon in a small town about 30 minutes east of Portland. It was finally turned down but was very close and we’re in a pretty liberal area. Water will become THE resource that millions will die over in the decades to come. With climate change arid regions will become uninhabitable and those living there will migrate or fight their neighbors for their resources. These corporations are trying to privatize the water because they see this shortage coming in the future. It’s going to get disastrous and I see no sign of our government doing anything to lessen these impacts.

    1. Here, near Portland, Maine (quite a ways away actually – maybe 140 miles or so northwest of there) – Poland Spring is owned by Nestle but we passed a referendum that poses a tax on what they take out of Maine to sell – because it was obvious what they were up to – but there are some really shitty aspects to them owning Poland Spring as well… so :(

    2. Nestle has privatized a water source in Ontario, Canada, with an extraction tax of only $3.71 per MILLION liters, less than the price of a 24 bottle pack. Their reach is far and wide.

  10. 12 minutes in – you guys are really great and I feel old – but so fucking hopeful for the future of America and even the world. Had a rough day today – a beloved uncle passed away – but you guys were a huge breath of fresh air and I am really enjoying this post game!! Thanks guys!!!
