Thank you for this episode. There was a lot of stuff here which I was unaware of. Sam was an EXCELLENT guest! Great job.
Fascinating story. Thanks for this.
Nitpick: the self-congratulations to each other in the beginning. I get it, you’re supportive of each other, and you should be. But we don’t need the camera rolling for it. :)
Just a nitpick.
Great show! I felt like it could have been longer. Thank you Grace, and team!
Look I have no doubt she was smart and she was clearly good at reading people but IQ tests become more meaningless the older you are when you take it. A 119 at 20 something is a nothing…
But to those saying “oh she wasn’t brilliant it is just above average” average doesn’t mean dumb. Average simply means average and above average is above average. Above average is actually intelligent… don’t be so insecure
Loved Sam as a guest. She provided great insight and I hope to see her more in future episodes.
When is Ted Bundy Here’s one of my favorites if you can call it that He is one of the most fascinating. This is a train wreck OK bye
Damn I’ll be honest those pictures took me completely off guard. Awesome Episode!!
Yeah. Those definitely warranted the warning we got. Especially the near decapitation.
Nice to have someone obviously knowledgable do a MWF.
Funny that they were so worked up about Arias getting away with something. A) She’s in prison and won’t be able to experience a normal life and B) she is mentally ill. I looked up BPD and it sounds terrifying. I doubt that she is “fine.”
Here in Tokyo, Japan, I think this murder case would’ve received the HUGE attention the OJ Simpson trial got over here about 20 years before if it weren’t for several situations that caused it to be knocked out of view — the widely circulating rumors of a huge stock market crash during the late spring through summer of 2008, the actual Fannie/Freddie crash (called the ‘Lehman Shock’ over here), the earthquake in New Zealand that killed some Japanese exchange students in January of 2011, then the massive Northeastern Japan Earthquake and Tsunami plus Fukushima nuclear disaster in March of that year. Also a factor was the limited power of social media compared to the last three or so years, especially the limited capability of the then new iPhone and new iPad in 2010. Location blocking online made it hard for me to get US news up until the re-election of Obama in 2012, but most of us over here were still very pre-occupied with news concerning that Fukushima disaster and whether or not we should remain in Tokyo or even in Japan.
I had no idea of this story, but I am so glad you covered it Grace. It explains SO much regarding how Trump got where he unbelievably is now. Arias’ tactics and behavior were obviously watched closely since discovery of the murder and since the American people were still overly reliant on mainstream media I’m sure the feeding frenzy conflicted with facts to the point of causing her case to drag on way longer than it should have. The massive greed of these media outlets spilled out onto the internet since they had the money to make nice, trustworthy looking websites and give clearer video access. Trump most certainly zoomed in on all Arias did and the effect it had in and outside of that trial. He surely combined what she did with his own crooked methods. I’m sure he also studied the effect that case had on the candidacy of Mitt Romney during the hottest years of that trial.
It’s pretty depressing to see the Lizzie Borden phenomenon still exists in America, I sure hope that dies out with hopeless baby boomers who insist on glamorizing grossness and patronizing pervs.
Not to be nit-picky but the show graphic stated her IQ as 119, which is high average, not what is considered brilliant. Love this show though!
119 would be in superior intelligence range… Also brilliance for covering up crimes is different. You do want to be nit picky because I am guessing you are in her same intelligence block and don’t like it
As a Scandinavian I really hate to see the US argument between death pen or life in prison. They are both equally wrong.
I love TYT and MWF is one of my favorite shows here (because Grace is awesome), but I hate when the hosts cheer for life in a kennel for any person at all.
You may disagree with both but they are not equal at all
Please take a moment to think of a person you hold most dear ( a parent, a brother, a dear friend). Now, tell me you would be OK with “their” murder enjoying the pleasure of fawning fans who feed her endless narcissism. The death penalty is way too human for such EVIL. Spending the rest of her life rotting in a cage, thinking of why she is their…is OK with me.
The topic was so sad, but explained very well. Maybe a show on Charles Cullen.
Soe – some are 1 hour
Why are the shows so short? Soe?! Are 1 hour! Please grace amir mmake the show 1 hour.
3 parts of 20 min..
Please .
See her work for yourself. Technique…not subject matter foremost~!

Any plans to do shows on mobster hitmen such as The Iceman Richard Kuklinski, or perhaps minor speculative stories like the John Mcafee (Belize) story?
Suggest Robert Pickton as a good candidate for Murder with Friends.
Great show.
I just went online and looked at JA’s art work.
{{ Kinda hoped it would be creepy. Not}]
Very high grade illustration work. She has developed her style and, for sure,
could have a lucrative career. Impressive.
What was creepy was the fawning comments by her fans and the amount of shit dumped on her victim.
I’m totally against cap punishment and don’t want her out, ever. Meanwhile, I hope she is actually doing
some sort of good inside. Also Wiki only lists him, not her, w/ long article covering the trial etc. {{Does Wiki
have a rule against articles about ppl like her~?}}
Would you consider doing a follow-up on her and her life in prison~?
Keep up your excellent work~!

Murder with Friends “Where Are They Now?” would be great hahaha.
Am I the only one to have not cared enough to watch any part of the trial? Anyway, Grace did another great show!
Another great show!
I agree with Grace that making too much of a suspect’s demeanor and whether they are “acting right” isn’t necessarily a good thing. It happened with Amanda Knox and Lindy Chamberlain, who were both later acquitted.
I almost didn’t click because I’ve seen shows on it many times. But I’m glad I did. You gals did a great job, and made this fantastic episode! Also, thanks again to the crew for making this show the masterpiece that it is,
Love it please do Belle Gunness next
