  1. Love this show!! Totally addicted but not in a creepy, you should worry about me way. After the Las Vegas shooting there were several tweets and articles that I saw about The Bombing of Black Wall Street. I’ll be honest, had never heard of it before but now obsessed with learning more about it. Not sure if this is the right format, but you were asking for suggestions and this came to mind.

  2. I would love to learn more about that Queen that killed virgins and bathed in their blood. I just can’t remember her name or what country she was in but it wasn’t *very* recent.

    1. They actually did that one. Elizabeth Báthory was actually Hungarian nobility, not a queen, but I think many people associate her crimes with Mary Queen of Scotts because of Mary’s nickname “Bloody Mary”.

  3. I love the idea of stories from other countries. You could do the campfire with each guest bringing the story of a non US killer. =)

  4. I also watched Peeping Tom in film school… I am going to guess that would be a common theme among film students lol. That comment had no point

Anyway just started watching the show already totally obsessed can’t wait to catch up on all episodes I missed and see new ones

  5. I think the movie Amir talked about in relation to ‘Psycho’ was called ‘Peeping Tom’ which came out in the same year.

  6. I would love to hear about a campfire episode centered in legendary serial murderers. We usually think of serial murderers as a relatively modern phenomenon, but there are many that rest far back in the darker corners of history. What does it say about us as humans? Can we trace anything of their motivations? Did the era they were active in create or mold them in some way? What conclusions can we draw from those legends and can that information apply to our own crop overachiever killers?

From what little I have found, regrettably with the usual lack of supporting evidence surviving to present day and torture being a common, yet most unreliable way of forcing honest confessions from people, it is admittedly a difficult topic to tackle. Still, the end of a legend such as Zu Shenatir has a certain beautiful and just irony. There are many commonalities between Rios y Lispergeur and Bathory, whom you have discussed in earlier episodes and noblewomen are always fascinating when they go bad. And speaking of wrongheaded women, Giulia Tofana literally made a family business out of murder very much to the detriment of everyone involved in creating her product. Livy, an ancient Roman historian reported a strange incident of Ancient Rome Poison Ring (331BC), shows, with Zu Shenatir, just how old this phenomenon really goes.

I found the incidents I mention above and much more on these two websites:

  7. Robert pickton in British Columbia will scare you out of your wits. He picked up prostitutes in Vancouver’s lower east side. He fed their bodies to his pigs on his farm. They found dna from more than 20 women, but he was only convicted of 6 murders. Criminal Minds had an episode loosely based on that case. The suspect on criminal minds crossed the border from ontario and picked up his victims in detroit.

        1. Thanks for drawing attention to this. There are work-arounds, but its definitely easier when the link under Member Contents works (as it does now).

  8. You guys should do Charles Ng and Lenerad Lake because they were only found out after lenerad was arrested for shoplifting and Charles fled to Canada and began trying to delay prosecutors from taking him to trial for 11-25 murders.

    1. Since canada abolished the death penalty, we don’t extradite criminals facing charges if the they might face execution. We’re a civilized nation up here.

  9. Issei Sagawa would make a great episode. He was this Japanese student in France who killed another student and cannibalized her. He was caught, but once he was deported back to Japan, he couldn’t stay detained and was released. He is currently a free man who has written about his experience and has sort of a cult following….Weird

  10. Nobody can seem to answer the question many have posed; why can’t we see the previous MWF? When I go to members content and press MWF, a little box thing pops up asking if I want to open it in news. This is not the first time this has happened. It happened the last update as well. I really wanted to watch the Port Arthur tradgedy. We lived in Australia when it happened. It devasted the whole country. Anyway, could somebody please fix the members content area.

  11. You should cover Jeffrey Dahmer and specifically talk about how bizarre his murders were and the fact that his father used to fantasize about killing people as well. You could also cover the book his dad wrote about the crimes, and cover the interview done back in 1994 with him and his dad and what his mom had to say. you could also talk about how Dahmer ended up getting beaten to death in jail because he taunted the other inmates about his crimes (allegedly) even though he seemed to regret the things that he did when he gave his interview. Sorry this comment is long haha I just think it’s such a fascinating and deeply disturbing case. Love the show! Ps- can’t wait for the columbine episode, I hope you read the book because it is incredible.

  12. A campfire episode on spy tactics would be interesting! You have the different styles of training found in cultural divides, badass weapons (Poison umbrella, hello!), and lots of dramatic stories to highlight. Also spies have been around forever, so you could touch on different periods in history.

    Keep it up guys!

  13. I think you should do one on Belle Gunness who killed 21 foster children 2 husbands maybe 3 and also her children and may have killed up to 40 people

  14. Ok guys I’m new here, can’t find the special members only content…soooo, am I just too dumb or is there something wrong with that? :) thx for answering

    1. Welcome! All of the members content for MWF, including the exclusive content, can be found in “Members Content > Murder With Friends” at the top of the page. To clarify, the exclusive content is not located anywhere special – if you look through all the videos you will find several that are unavailable on YouTube (i.e. Q&A, Last Meals, Guillotine, Brazen Bull, Torture Methods, Angela Simpson). Hope this helps, we’ll try to make it more obvious which videos are exclusive going forward.

      1. Hi Amir! Thanks for answering my question! Really really love this show, I think you guys are doing a great job explaining not only the murders but also the historical times and why some things happened or at least what you think happened , Grace is a super host and I really like what you created! Oh and the guests are also awesome!

      2. I tried “Members Content > Murder With Friends” to find old MWF – and I only get some dead-end page that has a yellow box at the top that states: “Membership – TYT Network” in blue & below that it says in bod: “You are viewing a feed that contains frequently updated content.” then something about subscribing to a feed….. then below the yellow box it list in bold blue like all the most recently added titles – but even clicking on the links it doesn’t go anywhere…… :( is this an issue with my computer system?
& it only does this when I try to find MWF. :(

  15. Hi
What’s wrong with your Member Content?
Everyone I click I get to that shows page, but ‘Murder With Friends’ I’m asked to download. It’s just luck that I found this video. Please fix this

  16. I think you should look into doing an episode about John Edward Robinson. He started his murders as early as 84, but since he made contact with most of his post-1993 victims via on-line chat rooms, he is sometimes referred to as “the Internet’s first serial killer”. I read a book about him a few years back and it was very interesting.

  17. I LOVE Rear Window. Jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelly were just marvelous, and the film absolutely holds up. It’s funny that the first time I saw it was in an actual movie theater. I was 10, and I got to see it at The Byrd Theater in Richmond with my mother and my aunt. They were re-showing it on its 30-year anniversary. It’s one of my favorite movies of all time.

Can’t wait to see the episode with Jayar! That should be fun.

As for suggestions, I was thinking that, as an extra or part of a campfire episode, you could talk about people who were executed who were later found to be innocent. The one that always comes to my mind is the Texas father who was accused of setting a fire that killed his kids. He was convicted and executed on sloppy and unscientific arson evidence, but they didn’t find out it was wrong until he was dead. It happens far more often than it should, and those are just the ones we know about.

  18. I would love to see the latest episode with Ana, but somehow your murder with friends section is misused to accommodate a list of the latest tyt uploads

    1. I always just check the “Membership” page to see what’s new because I like TYT Classics, Old School, and MWF. That’s here: tytnetwork.com/category/membership and the new episode is here: tytnetwork.com/2017/02/06/murder-with-friends-2/

  19. So my “hometown serial killer” is Hugo Selenski. The thing about Hugo is you kind of feel for him. Atleast 5 bodies were found in his yard. He was convicted to strangling a drug dealing pharmacist along with that guys girlfriend. There are twists and turns. At one point he actually escapes prison using… get this BED SHHETS (super scary being stopped by cops for 2 hours in deadlock traffic because it was said he was in the area). Even if you don’t do a story about him you should really read up on him.

  20. Grace,
Saw your show on Ed Gein. Didn’t know about him. You folks did a great show. I just saw your Q&A and am replying. I’m a TYT member and I enjoyed your work with Ana, Brett, and Hasan this week. I love Murder with Friends and plan to watch more. Thanks.
