  1. I love watching the Baldridge sibs interact. Each obviously enjoys the other’s company, wit, charm, and humor, as do I.

  2. I had heard of all of these assassination attempts, but then I am a huge history buff as well. William McKinley, Lyndon B. Johnson, FDR, and Truman escaped an assassination attempt as well. Bill Clinton and Obama too.

  3. I believe there is more to the President Reagan assassination attempt then the Jody foster story. Hinckley’s family were wealthy, in the oil business and being investigated by the administration. The Hinckley’s and the Bushes were friendly. In fact, from what I’ve read members of both family had dinner plans with the hinck!ey family that same week. After the attempt was made the investigation was dropped.

And of course john Hinckley was made out to be a poor, crazy man. He may have been unstable, but he was far from poor. And he has very well connected family.

  4. Partly because of Grace-she is refreshingly enthusiastic and partly because the subject matter is inherently interesting.

  5. Can’t download in full. Cuts off a couple min in.
    Also doesn’t just play through.
Can this show be re-set or something.
Hate to miss even a 9 min show~!

  6. the Garfield assassination is so interesting, for many reasons. there’s a thorough account in Candice Millard’s book, “Destiny of the Republic.” there’s also a more amusing account in Sarah Vowell’s “Assassination Vacation.” the fact remains — Guiteau merely shot Garfield; it was his doctor, Dr. Bliss, who gave him the sepsis that eventually took his life. in this case, ignorance certainly was Bliss.
