A Christian professor at a Christian college in Illinois has been suspended for wearing a hijab to show solidarity with Muslims being attacked by Americans in the wake of terrorist attacks being carried out by radicals. A new judge in Brooklyn has been sworn into office, but she chose to use the Koran for her ceremony since she’s Muslim. The reaction online was rabid and hateful. Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo had a panel that lambasted this judge’s decision calling it bad timing and political. Ted Cruz was challenged by Bret Baier over his past positions on amnesty and immigration after he attacked Rubio over his stance at the debate. Videos of Cruz denying the obvious in the face of multiple videos and quotes Baier played of his own words that are in direct contradiction with his latest claims.

I agree with these women who want to support Muslims, but I disagree with doing so by wearing a Hijab. The Hijab is Arab, not Muslim, and its about shaming women. Their hair is their “crown and glory” ie. too sexy, so hid your shame women.
All we need is for that to creep into western culture.. Women still don’t have equality here in the west. Whatever you do, don’t bring in 500 year old ideas about hiding women & their wickedness into this culture. It would be so easy for us to loose all the ground we have hard earned over the yrs.

Cenk, as always on this topic, does not care for actual news, but cares for propagandistic spin on it that he gathers from his MSM “sources”. He never cared to actually read Putin’s quote, where:
1) Putin has made observation that Trump is “original” and “talented”, which is obvious and quite undeniable;
2) said he supports Trump’s stance on collaboration with Russia (instead of how things go today in most cases);
3) cited the fact that Trump leads in (Republican) polls;
4) outlined disclaimer on any other Trump’s rhetoric, saying that it is only up to USA’s citizens to decide.
And, of course, there are no parallels with Putin as he is internationalist that supports all major religions. He has banned hate speech just as Germany and France did. Instead of putting Russian neo-Nazis on TV, he jails them (see “Tesak” case). Putin would never allow beatings in his meeting with people or would not avoid condemning such incidents if they would ever happen. Also, comparing to Trump, Putin is well-educated, intelligent, and he does not have buffoonish antics.
Where Putin’s progressiveness has it is limits is that he did not ban hate speech against LGBT (unlike ethnicities and religions), and, in fact, he used it as cynical political tool to pander to Orthodox Church, while he himself is not real believer at all.
Putin has also cemented Yeltsin (previous president of Russia)’s corrupt oligarchic regime, where theft is epic. This might be the only area where Putin and Trump would have something in common. But with superficial coverage like Cenk does on this, no wonder he did not get to it.
Also, Cenk continues to repeat the same StateDep nonsense that Russia “bombs Assad’s enemies that are not ISIS”, never saying that it is Al-Qaeda/Al-Nusra and its jihadi clones. Never mentioning that Russia has bombed ISIS from day one (in Rastan city), that ISIS immediately declared jihad against Russia and bombed their civilian plane. Cenk goes outright Orwellian.
Cenk also asserts that Russia bombs “potentially good guys”, while it is BLATANT LIE. As I wrote above, those are Wahhabi/Salafist jihadists. Since over a month already, Russia and Syria collaborate with multiple groups of armed opposition on condition that there will be cease fire between them and Syrian army, but they will continue to attack ISIS and Al-Nusra/Al-Qaeda. Russian air strikes support over 5000 of such opposition fighters.
Also, Cenk claims Assad is “dictator”, while he was always elected by vote with international observers present, and even Western institutions admit that he would win presidency again, if elections were to happen. Millions of Syrians are his rabid supporters. He is the only hope for all and every ethnic and religions minorities in the country, even though most of his army and government are Sunni Arabs.

Why do you feel the need to defend Putin? He is a right=wing asshole, even if he isn’t an idiot like Trump.
I have been calling Putin’s regime corrupt oligarchy that steals epic amounts of people’s money, and I called him cynical politician that does not believe neither in religion he claims to be part of, not in human rights as principle.
However, this does not mean that incorrect and incomplete information in media reports about Putin and/or Russia should be left unquestioned. Putin/Russia have real issues, there is no need for Orwellian coverage that twists every else.
Jayer is 100% correct. I won’t believe he can win until he wins a few states. The Democratic voters don’t have any balls, at the end they will chicken out and vote for Hillary. They will all say the same thing, Bernie can’t win the general so we have to pick Hillary because she will probably win and she will pick a better SC justice than any Republican.
