Cenk hosting solo to discuss the aftermath of the Paris attacks. Conservatives bash Obama and Democrats as weak on foreign policy and the War on Terror. Cenk reads quotes from the President calling Islam a religion of peace among other glowing things about the religion overall, separating Muslims from the terrorists. In reality, it was President Bush that said and did all of these things just a few days after 9/11. Video of GW Bush’s quote calling Islam, peace. Video of the new terror threats. Cenk hopes that these attacks and threats don’t continue to force us to change who we are. Anonymous has declared war on ISIS after the French attack. American intelligence groups are criticizing Anonymous’ efforts, claiming that they get in the way and derail their intelligence efforts that are working.

Multiple state governors have declared that they will not accept refugees fleeing violence in their home countries in wake of the Paris attacks, despite Obama’s decision to keep accepting refugees. Ted Cruz wants to only admit Christian refugees, leaving Muslims behind. Video of President Obama criticizing this line of thinking as Un-American; to have a religious test for allowing refugees in. Cenk reminds these Republicans that the Statue of Liberty is engraved with words that espouse opposing views to theirs. The results and perceived winner of the Democratic debate seem to be straightforward. Video of Hillary Clinton curiously connecting her buddy relationship with Wall St to 9/11. Video of Bernie Sanders focusing on the fact that campaign contributions mean the big donors want a return on their investment. Democratic insiders called the win for Hillary. Sarah Palin spoke with CBS about the latest in her life. Video of Palin being asked about Bristol’s 2nd pregnancy out of wedlock despite their preaching and judging against others doing it. Palin responded to criticism by saying God gives them 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th chances, so it’s ok. Video of Palin being asked about the loss in ‘08; that she was to blame.

  4. Strongly disagree on our intelligence agencies. They’ve been turned into engines to generate outcomes for politicians. There’s so little actual intelligence (going out and recruiting people in foreign governments, talking to actual sources, etc.) that happens anymore, they barely deserve the name.

    2. How do you know that? What do you even mean by ‘”outcomes for politicians”? Wouldn’t politicians want the intelligence agencies to do a good job so they can point to thwarted terrorist attacks?

    2. Especially when she keeps saying “yeah man, I mean like” lol – so annoying. you can tell she is trying to be someone else and she isn’t comfortable being who she is, kinda feel sorry for her in a way.

  6. Ben Carson must be thanking his lucky stars for Paris. He can now continue to keep proof of China’s involvement in Syria to himself and his brilliant private intelligence service.

  7. I can’t believe I’m defending our Intelligence agencies but for the sake of fairness, they do find ISIS fighters. They attack theses fighters using drone strikes. These drones not only kill ISIS members but they also have unintended consequences like killing innocent civilians and hostages. Also, getting basic access to the internet is a lot easier nowadays and all you really need is a computer and satellite. That makes it harder, even for intelligence agencies, to determine the location of the fighters. You’re also assuming that the propaganda used by ISIS on social media is being put out by the fighters themselves. You have thousands of supporters online for ISIS who are more than happy to disseminate their filth. You could trace ISIS supporters by finding their IP location but that would probably net you some ISIS fanboy and not the fighters themselves. On the other hand, large websites like Youtube and Twitter have done a relatively good job of taking down ISIS videos and shutting down accounts. Unfortunately, as fast as these videos are taken down, they are quickly put up again by new accounts. Essentially, this was a long-winded way of telling Cenk it isn’t that easy!

    1. Very well put, finding useful intel isn’t easy but it’s sure easy to bitch about how easy it should be. Someone as technologically deficient as Cenk should really do more homework and not just spout what he see’s on TV.

      And it is also true that our intel agencies are strongly lacking talented personnel due to the 80’s old boys club mentality, there is something to be said too about how it seems most of the work these agents do is essentially covering their own ass.
