Ana talks about how her mother buys into conspiracy theories about Jade Helm 15. Cenk rants about school, and how his 5 year old son is coming home with tons of homework. Since he’s so young, it requires parents to do extra and unnecessary work. Ana talks about taking on too much work, especially since she teaches a Saturday class at CSUN.

  1. For all of you people concerned with Ana and her proficiency as an instructor, she appears to be an entirely different person when she teaches. The alarmist, sensationalist, TYT host becomes transformed into quite an engaging and exemplary instructor. She successfully uses identification with her students as a way to communicate to them. It’s a rare talent, especially for people working in academia. No I’m not a student of Ana. So how do I know this, you might be asking. I found something interesting showing Ana at work as an instructor. I would add that she also has far more positive reviews than negative ones on the site that she mentioned, which you can go see for yourselves; this matter of Ana as an instructor is easy to get to the bottom of. Here is the video if you all want to see her in action : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sJdLuTOLA4

  2. Checked her out on ratemyprofessors.com, there’s a grand total of one negative review, and one that’s unclear (The guy just says “Good”, but then rates her at 1 in all three categories.)

It’s funny how Ana complains that it’s “these fucking trolls that watch our show”, as if it’s impossible that one of her students found her to be inexperienced and immature. It’s become a reflex for her to dismiss any and all criticism as “Whatever, probably just some jealous MRA loser troll or whatever, I’m doing a great job. Whatever.”

These “fucking trolls” that watch your show are called members, lady, and were it not for them, you’d be waiting tables.

    1. Just to be clear, most people that watch the show are not members, they are randos on YouTube, and YouTube is full of trolls and asshats.

Also, playing devil’s advocate here, the troll reviews might have been deleted for being obvious troll reviews.

  3. Forget work life balance Cenk needs work work balance. I watch the show live and honestly not that excited when Cenk is not on first hour. Cenk off air for a week has got to hurt the number of views. If not God bless. Can’t Cenk find someone else to do the business side of it?

    1. Yeah he needs to calm the fuck down. And I mean just from a health perspective. He loves to dismiss studies showing an overwhelming workload is bad for your health, being all smug like “pfff, I don’t believe it, I’m a MAN!! I can take it!”. Yeah he’s got a vision, yeah he wants his company to do well, but a burnt out Cenk is good for no one. I’ve seen it happen to people who love their jobs, they work their asses off, pulling insane work ours and overtime, and all of a sudden they just break. Can’t even get out of bed in some cases. And they can’t understand why. “But I love my job….”

  4. College students not knowing how to write is a problem. I got a mass email through school from a group of seniors working on a project. The entire email was horribly written. I looked at the official web page for their project, and it too was horrible. The grammar was off, spelling errors etc. Some sentences didn’t make any sense at all. And this was a group of 4 or 5 seniors working together. That was an eye-opener.

    1. I hear you, but is Ana really the one to talk? She’s still struggling with reading, FFS, and that’s a basic learning skill even more important than writing. Remember how often she struggles to get through a sentence, gets stuck, then just goes “Whatever!” and expects her co-host to bail her out?

“Whatever! Where’s my one shot?” (messes with her hair to get it just right for the camera, because that’s the one thing that matters) “Oh, there it is. Hi.”

      1. Haha. You’ve gotten allergic to her reading issues. I see where you’re coming from, but you’re exaggerating a lot. I can barely remember one time she’s said “whatever”. She usually just skip over a word or a part of a sentence and sort of give a summary in her own words instead. But yeah, I’m a bit confounded as to how she can mess up the reading as often as she does. She used to complain about how small the text was on the monitors if she was reading a graphic from the monitor. But she has them printed out on a paper in front of her, too. Usually people are either nearsighted or farsighted so she should be able to read at least one of them without glasses. She has also mentioned nerves as the reason, since she has gotten some flak for her mistakes she gets more nervous and more prone to mess up. I think she even talked about it in a Post Game waaaaayyy back, saying that people’s comments had made her really nervous about reading on air, that it was a big deal for her.

I don’t think for a second that she thinks her mistakes are no big deal. I think she gets really frustrated by them and that’s the reason she might just skip ahead when she gets stuck.

        1. That could well be true, and I used to cut her a lot of slack before as I kind of assumed she’d make the effort to improve. But these days she’s so damn dismissive, which makes her mistakes hard to bear. I get that it’s a defensive mechanism, young people often try to overcome certain insecurities by being all like “I don’t care what anyone says, I’m doing an awesome job.” But A) she’s not 15 years old, and B) false confidence is often even worse than a lack of confidence – it stops you from trying to grow and improve.

          1. Also, she shortsighted and doesn’t usually wear glasses because she thinks she looks better without them. And looking good is obviously more important than being able to read.

        2. My guess is she’s nearsighted, and it is very possible she can’t see the monitor or a piece of paper in front of her. Trust me, I know. If I try to read something without my glasses, I have to put it about 3 to 4 inches in front of my face.
