30% of Iowa Republicans believe that Islam should be outlawed in America. 21% said they’re not sure. Mike Huckabee went on a Conservative show where he claimed President Obama pretends to be a Christian while limiting the rights of Christians. He told another host that he doesn’t want everyone to vote, only the people that vote for him, since so many people are stupid. Jeremy Corbyn’s win to become the head of UK’s Labour Party has panned out to large numbers of people joining the Party. Cenk sees this as a worldwide trend; that Progressives are the voice of the general population. Outline of Corbyn agenda.

You konw how many chritians there are left in Irak, approximately 3 out of 2.000.000! The same goes for Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria etc…. At least the Rep. Nutjobs are just talking about it, Those muslim bastards are actually doing it, I say an eye for an eye!
Carson didn’t even say “highfalutin,” it sounded to me like he said “highfaluting.”
Yay! John Unchained two days in a row! I love it.
Which is worse, your literal name is Johnny Pie or you are “the audio guy”?
I so disagree about a brain surgeon being more concerning that a presidential candidate. It really does not matter what a guy believes while he is slicing up your brain, he just has to be good at slicing up brains. But you cannot have a president who doesn’t believe in science!
Unrelated to the stories question. How do I put a pic on my profile? Don’t want to have just a random human shaped head anymore as my icon
I am all for rent control. 50% of my income goes to lot rent. I live in a mobile home. so that doesn’t include repairs and stuff like that. Yeah, I am a trailer chick. que the spit sound. To get cheaper rent I would have to live 50 miles from my job.
every year rent goes up, and my income does not. RENT CONTROL. or make a law that cost of living wage increase for everyone, even part time retail, is a must.
Can we get another Alexis Tsipras story. From where I sit, he totally pulled an Obama on his people saying “yes, you voted, we will reject austerity.” Then came back with even worse austerity than before. I don’t know what or why that happened and how he got voted back in or why. I need information. Please, do a Tsipras story. I’m an American with a thirst for international news. Loved the Corbyn story
The major problem with Carson’s argument is that he completely ignores that entropy is a global rule; it is OK for entropy to decrease locally! When the Big Bang happened, that did NOT create any order, just a complete mess of particles flying in random directions with zero order (not even atoms existed because it was too hot). As space expanded and matter cooled down and started coalescing in some places due to gravity, resulting in galaxies and stars and planets, THAT created isolated spots of lower entropy(*), but without ever reducing entropy in the Universe as a whole. And reduction of entropy at any local level doesn’t really happen if you consider closed systems: for example, living organisms are low-entropy machines, but they only manage to work by enormous expenditure of energy (through metabolic processes like photosynthesis or the ATP cycle), which increase total entropy even in a local level.
(*) And that’s not even that much low. An object like our Sun, for example, is extremely close to maximum entropy. Most of it it is just a soup of hot Hydrogen atoms; there’s very little distance from that to the primordial chaos post-Big Bang! Galaxies too, they look like highly ordered objects with their typical flat-spiral shapes and arms etc, but that’s an extremely simple form of organization of matter subject to simple forces. Which means it didn’t even take much expense (of heat / higher entropy globally) to produce things like galaxies and stars. Only at very small scales like that of living beings, we start to see really low entropy.
aahhh your too smart for me. I love that the TYT audience has lots of eggheads. I am an egghead, but you have me beat. I am impressed.
It is a universal truth that all scientists who study the origins of the universe catgorically say the Big Bang was anything but perfectly organized. Chaos reigned for billions of years. We know this because we can now observe the light from that time right now with modern telescopes. These observations prove that any organization took billions of years to develop with the laws of physics acting on matter in time space. Right now hundreds galaxy’s are colliding that are 100 light years across annihilating everything in both galaxy’s. While millions of black holes across the known universe are eating up entire galaxy’s as I write this, does that sound perfectly organized. Ben Carson just proved himself a know nothing neurosurgeon, at best, for anyone who knows anything about physics a complete moron.
Carsons comments were astounding. Is he really that daft? I have lost all my general respect for the brain surgeon profession if one can become one being that mindbogglingly dumb. John is right, just because you’re working with brains doesn’t mean you have one. Wow.
I also love it when creationists say “it can’t be a coincidence that the very specific laws that govern the universe, and all the specific things surrounding our own planet, are the EXACT circumstances needed for us to be here!”
Like… yeah… it works the other way around maybe?
Indeed, medicine is overrate as a “brainy” profession because the study/training is so long and hard, but lots of that is rote learning of a colossal amount of information, plus field training to develop abilities that depend on social and observational skills (diagnostics) and fine motor skills (surgery). And there’s a lot to admire there, but it’s often not work that requires and rewards inquisitive minds. I bet Dr. Carson is one of those guys that passed classes like biology and genetics by brute-force memorization, then moved on to the surgery stuff he liked… evolution is the FOUNDATION of modern biology, it’s mandatory knowledge for real insight, not a “detail on the side” that you can ignore and still make full sense of the rest.
Funny story, I worked at a bio lab, smartest girl there aced the professor of the lab’s class (I graded his classes so I know only like 3 per class of 80 would get an A) and she told me she doubted the truth of evolution, mostly due to her family being hardcore religious christians. Just goes to show the power of brute-force memorization, these people aren’t learning how to think they are jumping through hoops.
Interesting to see who is funding Corbyn’s political campaign? You guys should do a story..
