Cenk talks about his trip to DC for the Correspondent’s Dinner weekend. Talks about the politicians and actors he ran into and which people are fans of the show. Talks about the Republicans that surprisingly love the show. One reason being that they use TYT’s takedowns of some GOPers that happen to be their internal opponents. Also, some Democrats that don’t like how TYT cuts up the fake politicians we disagree with. Some even approached Cenk by pointing out that they saw his “attacks.” Cenk tells the awkward interaction with Martha Raddatz.

  1. I think Jimmy would have fun. Just make sure you have a snake as well. Chyna once let her snake into a place that had open doors. Surprisingly it was a fancy party and Jimmy Dore just happened to be there. The only reason I know that is because Jimmy talked about a party he was at. He said it was dull except some lady with a bunch of tats pet snake somehow accidentally got loose. That snake only “accidentally” got loose Wheezywaiter and Chyna had the idea to let the snake slither in there. It took her awhile to get out of the party because people wanted to pet the snake.

  2. Recently I got extremely pissed off a PVPs because they won’t wear their helmets when they ride their bikes. I just completely lost it in the comment section with them and I almost did the same with lindsey Bell.

  3. Cenk there are peoples that don’t want to corrupt you if they like the show. They probably wouldn’t want to change it. If they feel it helps them as is. After all a republican is a TYT investor or something like that.

  4. None of this surprises me. I know that what you do is state facts and that’s it. If people don’t like the facts they can fuck themselves. Thank you for this awesomely ha bisky post game. Maybe my parents will stop randomly hating TYT someday.

    1. Yes, I’d like to know too. It sounds like Rice Crevice? Ryan Crevice? Ryan Seacrest?! Tried all of these into google and no-go.

  5. Now a days I just go down to Comic Con for the industry parties, not even the convention itself. Free brooze and food, and chatting it up with some friends and colleagues. Worth the price of admission.

  6. So Cenk never takes anything back? I thought he was the open minded man in America. Hmm.

    1. Dave, do you currently have (or do you think the show will ever invest in) a science adviser and statistician on staff? This isn’t related to this specific post game but rather the show in general.

Many stories start with “A new study reports…” but there is no one there with the expertise to differentiate between tier journals (or whether the story was only published in a ‘predatory’ journal with a science-y sounding name — http://scholarlyoa.com/individual-journals/), to glance at the data and methodology and be able to decipher whether the study is legitimate or might have some major flaws/omissions. Particularly with soft sciences like sociology. Just because something flashy grabs a headline doesn’t mean the science was done properly. I think people get easily misinformed. Similar issue with statistics. Cenk likes to quote numbers but is unable to critically analyze their origins.

      1. Good point. Would like to see more examples of independent fact checking like journalists used to do. Otherwise, the sociology remark that seems from a couple decades ago before sufficient data had been collected to make probability statements rather than mere statistical correlation. My training is in physics and I’ve gotta say the sociologists have come a long way and are do their respect for the accomplishments in their field.

  7. I wanna hear more, nooo. However I am a bit shocked that none of the liberal and progresssives that you interacted with don’t like the show, I would think those are the type of people who would like the show because you guys criticize republicans and republican politicians. None the less interesting stories.
