  1. Since Steve Oh is rarely on this I felt like I had to watch this live show as well. Usually I skip them. I want there to be a D and O show.

  2. I’m not trying to start anything, i just wanted to comment on the “What is the big sacrifice” question. The thing is that, that the process of being crucified at that time and place consisted of a lot more, basically a literal torturous amount, of cruelty leading up to the crucifixion. That’s not even counting the fact that he was made to carry his own extremely heavy cross for miles, while his body was basically torn open from the recent flogging, and in spite of the fact that he could barely stand due to exhaustion. Then, after he finally did die on the cross, he actually had to spend those three days in hell, where a day feels like a thousand years. The sum of his gift to us, is that we are no longer forced to atone for our sins via animal sacrifice etc… instead, we can now be completely forgiven on the spot IF and only IF we become truly regretful of the fact that we always have sin and always ask our Father for forgiveness. As long as we accept the reality of Jesus’ sacrifice of course. True regret is always the cornerstone of any forgiveness we receive from the Father, and only he can know someones heart well enough to decide how true their regret is. So despite what some people believe, Satan will never again find a place in heaven, because he clearly does not even consider sin to be regretful in any way.

  3. Good god angry Ben is so satifying, shouting at an imac, fingers twitching. That was amazing. Oh, and he made some amazing points about the powerful abusing the weak. Also also, Fucking yes, please help run against this guy, just get him out

  4. Steve Oh is wrong that Jesus never mentioned homosexuals. Luke 7 tells a story of Jesus curing the favored servant of a centurion, a euphemism for his same-sex sex slave. Despite protests from his apostles about helping a powerful hated authority and someone that had a sexual relationship with a same-sex slave. Jesus rebuked his homophobic and xenophobic followers. Jesus performed the miracle for the pederast whom happen be a commander of an occupier.

Jesus not only didn’t hate gays, he cured the centurion’s male lover! Jesus loves the gays!

    1. I’m a little confused about that link.

The confusion, or the problem I have with the explanation, is that it jumps to the conclusion that it’s contradictory for it to mean ‘honored slave’ with no explanation as to why it is ‘meaningless’. Are we to just assume it is true that it HAS to mean a junior and not anything else?

Interesting enough for another ‘fact’, according to some sources the Bible didn’t even use the term ‘homosexual’ until 1946. Not sure how true that is either though. I try not to pick & choose what verses mean, and it is hard to convince someone unless the listener can verify from their own knowledge about greek language and history. In the end the literal terminology is meaningless compared to the spiritual lessons taught within about charity and forgoing an earthly focus. There is nothing spiritual about obsessing over anal penetration behind closed doors, which is enough to dismiss all the anti-gay bigotry faux-christians spew.

And no amount of logic and reason can convince bigotted christians they believe incorrectly. The problem stems entirely FROM their ignorance. If they knew what was in the bible, there wouldn’t even be a problem in the first place. In one way or another.

  5. In the story of Jesus, the cross isn’t the end of suffering, it is the beginning- and not at all the relevant part nor the redemptive part. Afterward torture and death through crucifiction, the bible says he spent three days and three nights in hell, separated from God (from all good things, from life itself, a suffering which the bible says is beyond anything possible of physical suffering).

That is why he rose three days later rather than immediately. That is the important part. In the broad view of things, the ONLY important part.

Modern christians do not read the bible. Steve knows more of the bible than most christians. In fact, Ben, despite his admitted cluelessness, most likely knows more of Jesus than most ‘christians’.

Modern idiots, er I mean conservative christians, are the type spoken againt by the Lord they claim to worship. This is no more clear than in their shallow understanding of Jesus’ sacrifice. They won’t tell you a spiritual, a metaphysical sacrifice which transcends all understanding of earthly / physical reality. They know only of a literal, purely earthly, physical suffering. An irrational rationalization of physical suffering.

Many times in the new testament does Jesus denounce this physical focus in believers. This lack of understanding of a greater (spiritual) life of ideas, of charity, of selflessness, of forgiveness, Like those he denounces as phony, they are distracted by an insignificant, unimportant, temporary physical life.

The words of Christ bless Steve Oh and curse these charlatans, these christians. TYT follows Jesus closer than any southern baptist preacher ever will. Conservative christians are rich in ignorance, abundant in hatred, and you know what Jesus said about the rich entering into spiritual enlightenment. A camel has a better chance.

    1. Thank you. I may have known these things before, but your words have served as a pleasant reminder of the spiritual aspect of what to focus on :-).”It is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to get into heaven”.

  6. Actually Anna Rick Ross was a correctional officer that’s a bout a million times worse for your hood rep lol. The real Rick Ross who the fake Rick Ross stole his name from was actually a drug dealer who made 3 million dollars a day at his peak in LA, he was illiterate when he was sent to prison with a life sentence, he learned to read and and write and then found a loop hole in his case that allowed him to get him self out of prison, he now travels the country speaking out against the drug war at colleges and stuff, it was also found out later that his coke was coming from the CIA and it was linked to the Iran contra scandal. AMAZING STUFF AND ALL DOCUMENTED AS WELL! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%22Freeway%22_Rick_Ross https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rr-svL4YUSk
