Ana joins Cenk for SCS. Update on the story of Taraji Henson’s accusations about USC cops and Glendale cops racially profiling her son. Video of the Glendale encounter disproves her son’s story of being profiled. Henson later apologized for her accusations. After Indiana governor Pence signed into law a bill that opened up religious freedom from government oppression, the Church of Cannabis looks forward to being allowed to smoke all the weed they want. A poll of Millennials on morality, showed that they feel casual sex to be more morally wrong than homosexuality. They also believe that contraception should be widely available to college students. Ana thinks they think this way because many Millennials are underemployed and can’t afford to responsibly get married and have to hold off on sex. A Nebraska proposal would allow dirty fracking water from out of state to be dumped into the state’s disposal system, which could seep into the drinking water. One farmer in the state went to a committee hearing about the issue and asked the panel if they’d drink the water contaminated with fracking ingredients, which they refused to answer.

After a gas explosion in NYC that took down a building and killed at least 2 people, some residents took a selfie in front of the devastation, with big smiles on their faces. Social media sites responded with anger. Cenk pardons these people’s behavior even though it was a deplorable thing to do. Cenk admits to going to the OJ Simpson scene and ran around the property like goofballs. A Venezuelan model is doing extreme waist training in order to get a 20 inch waist. After her organs shifted to allow this look, Cenk and Ana wonder if this actually a turn on for guys. Cenk does the Nature Box promo.

  1. I hope that out of this Indiana stuff a whole bunch of gay owned business pwn the others faces because they start providing services exclusively for gays…

  2. I am not sure if anyone from the show actually reads these comments here. However, if you guys do, I would love to know what Ana thinks about the following criticism. Please, understand I offer this as a positive, constructive criticism, which I believe she is capable of utilizing as an opportunity to improve her viewpoint.

    At 35:17, Ana says that, ‘… At the end of the day, it’s her body, and if she finds it attractive, she should do it. But, I don’t think that she finds it attractive.’ Ana then goes on to say something about how ‘society’ has a ‘stupid obsession’ with massive asses, a skinny waist, and big-fake titties. As the commentary goes on, I am surprised Cenk never mentions the inconsistency in her following point towards the end of the video. Also, she does mention what she thinks, in terms of evolutionary advantage, followed by using safety as an explanation for the criticism.

    This is fine, however, I want to be clear. Stating that it is acceptable for anyone, women specifically, to focus on altering their appearance in any way they see fit, and then following with saying it is unacceptable given a safety-measure, seems inconsistent. My fear is, comparable to the ‘judging everyone based on extreme outliers’ idea they discuss often, that Ana’s original statement I quoted, supports the ideals of Anorexia. The idea that if a person finds their body unfit, or ‘fat’, that this somehow makes it acceptable or okay to allow that person to continue behaving in an unsafe manner, due to their body dysmorphia.

    I fear that too many women, it seems even Ana to some extent, feel that what ‘Society’ thinks, is actually more in-line with what producers and editors of magazines and media outlets put out as popular. This is conjecture, but I do believe that If you ask a random sample of several thousand people, hypothetically accounting for culture and such variables, you will see that the whole of society honestly cares about female appearance significantly less than, and desires a significantly differing version of the appearance, than we see portrayed in popular media. The focus on media as a source of what society thinks is a main culprit in this. They will always utilize the examples, models, and celebrities which they believe are most appealing. This is not necessarily because they are, but rather because they understand society’s impressions are fed to them. People, as Ana has done here, couple acceptance of unrealistic expectations of body-form and beauty, with a very skewed “One-Size [hopefully] Appeals to all” type of marketing to the widest audience.

    Sorry for my ramble and wordiness. I just really think her original statement smacks of an internal desire for it to be okay for it to be acceptable to adulterate one’s health in the quest for idealized form. I realize Ana herself would likely be too intelligent and strong-willed to succumb to a state like A.N.. but this proposed idea certainly is an under-lying factor in the mindset continuing to make this issue so pervasive in America. The contradictory statements that follow, show a desire to not portray herself as holding that ideal, however she definitely did plainly state what she thinks at first.

  3. On the Indiana story;
    Only $4.20 tithe and the religious obligation to smoke some pot?!…. I like tacos.

  4. Nicest cop in America is SPOT ON. but the mom and the son are 10000% in the WRONG here. It’s hard enough for people to believe us when we say racism is real and then they lie like this. It’s cruel to others who are beaten and abused by cops.
