I like both continuing political commentary (I especially like Steve’s views on things), but honestly inside baseball or TYT history tend to take priority in my mind :P sorry Steve. Do both!
The deathbed confessor in the George Stinney case is a huge pile of dung. Not only did he let a child be killed for his own crime, he led a normal life as if it was no big deal to kill 2 young girls.
Hopefully he died of something painful and body wasting.
I like Steve’s commentary on stories, if not for him I wouldn’t have heard of the Stinney case; but I also really like the background on TYT early history for stuff left out of the films. With Mad as Hell and these post games focused on filling in the gaps left by the movie, I really feel like we’re getting more inside baseball that we’re used to getting in the weekly postgames. I love a long post game so please continue to do both.
OK, I concede that I’m totally wrong about Dave’s old stories! We will continue to devote more time to filling in the gaps that the movie didn’t cover. All praise to Dave, only the mistakes are mine.
People are pretty mean in these comments – all the content you guys do is great. It is good to hear Dave’s stories which is why I think a lot of us are members, but obviously seeing Steve, Malcom, and Dave talk about other stuff is important and fun too.
Meh, I was on you’re side all the way. I miss the pre mad as hell post games on friday. However, the stories are usually very interesting.
Pretty torn on it. I think it was about a 70-30 split between discussing non-tyt stuff and filling in blanks on TYT back-story. The 70-30 split was good for me.
Dave’s stories to fill in the blanks from the movie are very interesting. Steve’s reluctance to talk about it is totally bullshit.
The game Totally True/Totally Bullshit is a good game. However, you sometimes do a shitty job of stating the contention. How about someone takes the one minute required to make a clear statement which will be evaluated as true/bullshit?
Example.
Dave’s stories about the early days of TYT are boring.
Totally bullshit.
i like the movie stories. i live in the middle of nowhere now and i can’t get to a screening. plus i like stories about the ppl in that i watch 5 days a week. :)
Dave’s stories are great. Anybody with Steve’s attitude would have been the first one out the door on the next round of layoffs where I retired from and I saw plenty go. It’s all the customer and nothing else. What about when you asked people to call in to find out if anybody was even listening? I really enjoyed watching people with that attitude get the word after 30 years that they were history and watch them rise as they shit and pissed their pants and that look of terror on their faces.
Here’s what I enjoy: A freakin’ 44 minute Post Game, period! I love Dave’s stories. I loved Steve’s commentary on the George Stinney case. I love TToTB. I love it all. And, honestly, the little spat at the beginning was amusing. I can understand Steve’s being tired of the movie-related stories, though. :)
This is what I love to hear, I would love to hear more about the behind the scenes by Dave. The story is awesome. also I love how I was totally on Cenks side on the hacks but now Steve has made a couple of devastating points that I can’t reconcile. I’ve never thought of it from Sony’s employees point of view, I’ve always thought of Sony as a powerful corporation but this really puts the people in danger more than the company itself, a company can be rebuilt but lives I lost forever.
Why not split the videos into two segments. Dave stories for as long as he has them and then a different segment with totally true or totally bullshit.
loving Dave Kohler’s un-told stories from the movie. It feels like watching a movie with Director’s commentary. I haven’t seen Mad As Hell Yet but all these stories make me want to see it more. When Mad as Hell eventually comes out on DVD or iTunes download whatever, you guys should bundle all of these post games from Dave and use it as Bonus Features. I can’t speak for the rest of the members, but I’m digging it. Cheers Young Turks for always delivering amazing informative news. I watch every day, hardcore fan here. I’m a videographer/editor, have been working in the industry for 9+ years now and would love to work with you guys in some respect. If anyone at TYT see’s this, drop me an email. alikaawana@me.com
I saw Mad as Hell in San Francisco. I really like the idea of bundling the “untold TYT history” post game segments with the movie. Like Dave and Steve said, some information isn’t appropriate for the documentary film because there isn’t corresponding video. But that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be told. Or that people aren’t interested.
None of us were there when established media powerhouses were birthed but we are here for The Young Turks. Plus, the main players are all still around.
Dave was right, Steve was wrong. Do the stories that didn’t make it in the Mad As Hell movie but also do the True or Bullshit. Having a postgame that is 45 minutes long once a week makes up for all the sub-20 minute postgames the rest of the week.
I am really, really enjoying Dave’s extended history of TYT, especially since I’m unable to see the movie anytime soon. I love the news on the main show, of course, but hearing the extensive journey you’ve taken is enthralling.

I vote for Dave’s story time!
I vote for both. Why can’t they do both?

Doesn’t all have to be about TYT back-story.
I personally love hearing all the extra stuff missed by the movie. Keep it up.

more dave stories!!
Sorry Steve, I have to side with Dave. I definitely want his stories.
True/Bullshit is good, but not great. The movie stories and TYT history bits are fascinating!
Dave’s stories are WHY I am a member. That is the benefit of membership! “Insider Information”
Yes Yes Yes! Agreed ^0^
Sorry Steve the audio guy, but we want more movie stories, although I do also like totally true totally bullshit.
Would it kill you talk about the movie for a few more weeks? We want all of the left out stories! We are VERY interested in the early TYT background.
i want daves stories not stoves bullshit
i like the movie stories. i live in the middle of nowhere now and i can’t get to a screening. plus i like stories about the ppl in that i watch 5 days a week. :)
Super happy with the movie stories because I live in a super small town and don’t know if/when/how I’ll ever get to see the movie. :-)

TALK MORE ABOUT THE MOVIE, LESS TTTF
TTTF IS ACTUALLY REALLY BORING, WE ONLY WATCH IT BECAUSE YOU MAKE US.
I actually enjoy it :o
But I will say I enjoyed Dave Koller’s stories a lot more, everything that comes out of Dave’s mouth is super fascinating
This is what I love to hear, I would love to hear more about the behind the scenes by Dave. The story is awesome. also I love how I was totally on Cenks side on the hacks but now Steve has made a couple of devastating points that I can’t reconcile. I meant lives are lost forever… u can’t undo death.

who is tom villay?
Tom DeLay – former congressman, think he was a GOP Whip and yeah quite an evil dude
i want the movie info !!!!!
Please supply the David Brock interview.
boooo steve, you’ve been voted off the island! Let Dave tell his stories!

I really liked the extra long post-game..

PS – The other segments were enjoyable too. This certainly compensated for the late start today’s main show had :)
