John Iadarola, Jimmy Dore, and Brian Unger host TYT. An American nurse returning home after working with ebola victims has been quarantined in NJ even though she has no symptoms. Videos of Chris Christie claiming that he has no 2nd thoughts about enforcing the quarantine are shown. Since the nurse is upset about being quarantined, some Conservatives have come out attacking her, claiming that she’s going after Christie b/c she’s an Obama voter. She talks about it on CNN in a video. Brian points how how the media is doing a disservice to the entire conversation that could be had. After Gov Cuomo and Christie supported the quarantine, the nurse has been released to home quarantine, and Christie remains defiant. Talk about how Republicans have worked hard to push citizens to undermine the reputation of the government follows. Rupert Murdoch clearly illustrated his biases when he tweeted that it would be so wrong if there aren’t sweeping Republican victories in the election. For the 1st time a sitting Senator has come out in favor of legalizing marijuana, Sen Merkley from Oregon. John promotes the Turk out the Vote initiative. More and more Republicans are clearly opposing registering new voters and getting more citizens to vote. Christie sees more easy registration as a plot to corrupt elections. A Congressman from Georgia openly spoke out against Black voters being able to vote near their homes at churches, citing a separation of Church and State. Another called allowing more opportunities for Black citizens to vote, “contorting” the process. The supposed free voter ID that many GOPers want to make mandatory actually cost the citizen more money than now illegal poll taxes used to. The Pope is changing his thoughts on evolution. He has presented a scenario that connects the Big Bang Theory to a Creator.
