  1. Jayar is sooo right. What I told my ex-wife was, “you know, if I’m gonna get the blame for cheating, I may as well get the fun.” (though I didn’t cheat, and we broke up for a different reason having to do with stress over miscarriages).
Skip ahead 7 years to my most recent girlfriend. We had an “open relationship” – sex with other people was okay, just be honest about it. Since sex with another woman was no longer “cheating,” it lost a surprising amount of allure. That was the first relationship where I wasn’t ever tempted to bed someone else, because it was not forbidden fruit anymore, just another complication I’d have to deal with.
Which is why I tell people “jealousy destroys more relationships than sex with another person ever could.”

  2. Cenk talk to a female that is still bestfriends with their ex like TYT Sam. She can give you the best insight.

  3. For me IT’S OF COURSE as long as she is actually going to help with the show. I know a lot of people that work with their ex on things. I wouldn’t be surprised if John’s wife’s ex boyfriend helps her out with work stuff.

  4. OF COURSE YOU ARE ALLOWED TO HIRE EX GIRLFRIENDS that’s like saying are you allowed to hire a best friend. If it wasn’t for Charles Trippy Alli wouldn’t have 500 000 subscribers. He gave her a shoutout because he thought she was going to leave youtube and she was really considering it so he pretty much hired her to stay in youtubeland

  5. Cenk a lot of people have their ex gf or bf as their bestfriend CTFxC got divorced and they are best friends one of Jimmy Dore’s friends is best friends with his ex and to this day are great friends. They don’t know why they ever thought they should have dated but they did. John Green’s wife is great friends with her ex and John is totally fine with that. Sam she is friends with her ex and is sometimes on TYT that Sam.

It really depends on the person. I am fine with exes being besties. CTFxC actually has pretty much 0 choice but to be besties with alli still. They flow in all the same circles since high school (even though they didn’t even know they went to the same high school until a mutual friend called the house. Alli picked up the phone Danny Duncan from We the Kings wanted Charles not Alli and that’s how it got figured out and the day that Charles joined We the Kings and is now in a band.

  6. It’s great that Cenk has that good relationship with his wife… and that his wife is that smart apparently to have that mindset.

  7. This has to be the longest conversation Irina ever had on camera. In under 20 minutes, she offered more than Ana Kasparian has in years – nicely done.

I’d love to see Zahra on TYT sometimes, I have a feeling she’d be able to put Cenk in his place every now and then… similarly to what Ben Mank does.

  8. Jayar rulz! He is not heartless… go Jayar! You cannot control, or think you can control what someone does or thinks. Chill!!!!! That was so refreshing… so refreshing.

  9. Very interesting male perspective on the whole being friends with women and hanging out with women who aren’t attractive. It’s very sad that Cenk and Jayar are in the minority.

As for hiring your ex, if you want to sleep with your ex, you are going to sleep with your ex. You don’t need to give them a job. In fact, I would think you would be LESS likely to give them a job if you wanted to sleep with them.

Some people who accuse their partner of cheating/thinking of cheating and just won’t let it go are actually projecting. One of Jayar’s favorite points to make.
