It’s time for another episode of “Totally True or Totally Bullshit” with Steve Oh, Aaron Wysocki and Dave Koller. Topics this week include:
It is a wise idea to engage in drawn out twitter battles with racists
The deportation of undocumented immigrant children from nonadjacent countries is a more lengthy process
Is it crazy to think that Cenk Uygur might be on Glenn Greenwalds list of Americans of islamic descent being spied on by the NSA?

  1. I was arguing with Cenk on twitter not because I’m on Anthony’s side or because I’m racist, but because Cenk misquoted Anthony several times and continues to and has not admitted it. He wonders why people think saying “all black people are savages” is not racist. Anthony did not say that. I think he is racist and a dick and I have no interest in defending him, I just care about accurate facts.

  2. From my perspective, I love seeing people like Cenk or whomever go against and challenge outspoken racist. Only because it feels like we have ally in the struggle. Because it’s stuff we here all the time and it gets exhausting having to check directly racist comments or even ones that are more subversive.

  3. 1) The only reason to engage with a racist on twitter is to expose racism. Once everyone can see it, no need to engage any further.

    2) Not sure what the question is but I’m fine with paying taxes to protect children from sex trafficking. That’s a good law, let’s keep it.

    3) I don’t think it’s crazy to think TYT is being spied on but I doubt anyone is even looking at the information much less doing anything with it…dun dun dun…for now. Which is the whole problem that you have already discussed.

  4. Well, I’ll put up a comment: kinda wrong about the NSA thing. It’s NOT ok for the government to collect your data, even if they don’t use it- ’cause eventually, they will. Too much power cannot be resisted for long…and the government isn’t real good at resisting, anyway. Like the saying goes, absolute power corrupts, absolutely…and I cannot think of a more absolute power than total information gathering. Information is more powerful than a gun or bomb. It can destroy you, make you a hero, or put you in a grave. I don’t want that kind of temptation in the hands of those appointed to represent our will. I have control (somewhat) of what I choose to post in a public forum….with the NSA collection, I Have NO choice. That’s a BIG difference.

    1. You’ are a “P.R. professional”? wow! ALL you did was mumble incoherently on mic!….WHAT a waste of time…TAKE voice lessons…you come off SUPER weak….NOT A POSITIVE image for TYT…please stay behind your computer and run errands for Cenk…spare us!
