IMO, ALL big corps are evil. T-Mobile has ripped me off by talking me into getting a new phone and contract in a bigger city nearby, even with my very frequent vocalized concern over coverage in my town, how would I use it with no coverage, etc. The salesman told me it would be fine as I have had ATT DSL/WiFi for years, he said I could call and text via wifi if the service was not active. I agreed, took the new phone home, and promptly discovered that NOTHING worked on the phone, the calling, texts, etc. never connected and I couldn’t get it to load any social media apps. I returned the phone and canceled the contract, but despite my protests about being ripped off and scammed into it, I was charged $50 for “restocking fees”.
With ATT, I moved here 5+ years ago, and they adamantly insisted that if I wanted the internet line, I had to have a phone landline. I was forced to pay $80+ per month just so I could have a DSL connection. I eventually couldn’t afford the bill on my $700/mo. income, and I dropped the phone line, and surprise surprise, I still had a DSL line. I was first charged $38/mo. for the DSL, which was either the lowest or just above the lowest speed. Over the course of 3 years, they gradually raised the bill to $52, had me on the lowest speed a majority of the time, and I constantly had problems with them dropping my connection, not being able to stream a single thing, and sometimes having literal dial-up speeds. The past 6 months with ATT have been HELL ON EARTH. I have not gotten a bill from them (despite my monthly calls to request them) until well after they are late, and I have told them I need to send a check as I can’t afford the $10 fee to pay over the phone. After I get the bills, I call to ask for a reduction, to set payment for the next check I get (first of each month), and they have several times assured me it would not be shut off, I could pay the bill by the 3rd of the month. At least 3 times they have suspended my connection before I get the chance to pay the bill, or before they had told me it was supposed to be suspended. I even had a promise that I could pay Jan. 2016 bill by the 3rd, and it would not be shut off before the 5th. They are well aware that I ONLY get paid the first of each month, and they know all I am asking is that I get a damn bill in time to pay the reasonable monthly charge, and not have to kill myself from stress every single month when my only source of entertainment is constantly cut off. Well, as a nice little Holiday present, ATT decided to make a funny joke and shut it off completely on the night of New Year’s Eve.
I have had to threaten with lawyers and telling them I am recording the calls (as they have many times denied the calls I had previously made, saying nothing was on my file, and they had no recording of it), and so far I have FINALLY gotten this ONE bill down to $45 and still it’s late before I can send a check in, so I still am paying a $9 late fee, to basically avoid the $10 call-in payment… -__-
On the police story, the lapel cameras would be great on politicians.
On the Adam story, you have to consider it in the context of and potentially in contrast to the Duck Dynasty situation. Adam’s comments were far less egregious than the character on Duck Dynasty, but it’s about consistency in principles. How you feel about one should be similar to the other. For instance, if you feel freedom of speech is allowed to be exercised and the ensuing natural consequences should dictate the fate of the characters show (i.e. lower ratings or cancellation of the show by execs for money loss through secondary consequences), then you should feel the same about the other situation. Either way is fine, but consistency is important, for me.
Something needs to be done about the god damn videos cutting out every few minutes. You have to reload, restart, and try to find where you were when it stopped. This is unacceptable and it’s been going on for months now in spite of people commenting about it on every other video!
agreed
Well, people on the other video didn’t seem to mind…
it’s not a one video problem
Listen, man. Social media and sites like Reddit drive people fucking crazy. All you get on these sites are people lashing out at other people. It’s not healthy.
