Gina Grad and Dave Rubin join Cenk and Ben for SCS. Ben talks about how uncomfortable the t-shirts are that Cenk prefers for TYT to sell. TYT Super Donor Andres VanDamme talks to the crew. The Metrosexual man is now obsolete, and has been replaced by the Spornosexual; men that are extremely focused on their bodies the way the Metrosexual was focused on his clothing. Ben asserts that men with tattoos shouldn’t be allowed to have children. A man in court got nearly 1 year in jail for cursing out the judge that was sentencing him. A Maryland Repo Man was shot and killed by a man whose car he was attempting to repossess in the middle of the night. The shooter told the police that he shot him twice and that he’s dead in the ditch. He also pointed out that it should be illegal for repo men to do it in the middle of the night. Cenk agrees with this point. The city of L.A. is going to pay a protester that was kicked out of a city meeting for wearing a KKK hood and profanity-clad t-shirt to make a point about how the city was acting like the Klan. He later sued and is settling for a $200K payment. List of the most corrupt states in America. A viewer photoshopped a picture of Amir as a gazelle, so he obliged and laid across the table.

  1. Most and Least Corrupted States. I have a hypothesis that furthers the typical Republican/Democrat explanation. I think it has more to do with the irrational fears and hatred toward African Americans. In many of the most corrupt Republican states, they are some with the highest percentages of African Americans. The biggest anomaly is South Dakota, which while they don’t have a high minority population, they do lead the red states in hate crimes per capita. Alaska being another anomaly, but I agree with the panel that the oil industry is probably the reason for Alaska. Many of these states were the solid blue Dixiecrat states until desegregation lead them to switch to being red states.

    3. Tennessee – 16.78%
    4. Illinois – 14.88%
    5. Pennsylvania – 10.79%
    6. Alabama – 26.38%

    9. Kentucky – 7.71%
    10. Florida – 15.91%

    Transversely, all the states on the least corrupt list have relatively low percentages of African Americans. Racism still exists in these states, but it is more out of ignorance and not hatred, thus it doesn’t effect the voters as much.

    4. Nebraska – 4.5%
    5. Iowa – 2.68%
    6. Vermont – 0.87%

    I’m sure there’s some racist out there that would take this data and try to blame the blacks for the corruption, but the flaw in this concept is the percentages of representation for the black community in politics is abysmal in most of those states. You can’t blame them for corruption if they don’t have the access needed to cause the corruption.

  2. Hell of a show. Both hours dominated on memorable moments and stories. McCain won’t live down his comments about Iraq. CNN and they’re “school shootings”. Spornosexual AND Amir the Gazelle!

  3. RE: the Maryland Repo case, it would have been a perfect opportunity to do some journalism and find out more about the case instead of simply shooting the breeze and airing opinions. Nothing wrong with that, as long as it is in moderation. I do understand that it is friday, and more relaxed, but getting the facts shouldn’t be too much.

    A couple of phone calls or e-mails, or a more closer read of the police report, perhaps?

    Also, I don’t mind you guys swiping Chris Hayes’ rundown every now and again, but are you spreading yourselves too thin with all the different channels and Wolf-Pac, etc?

    Don’t take this the wrong way, I still enjoy the content (especially the first hour), but you need to focus a bit more. :)

  4. I am surprised with Ben and Cenk. The guy at the council meeting is making a political statement. Normally Ben would say that you don’t have a right to not be offended. I understand making people were clothing at the meeting, but we should not get into what the clothing can and cannot say. Something libel could be banned, but the use of a curse word should not. The is guy a dick, but he has every right to be a dick. Cenk is always talking about defending people’s freedom of speech and I see this is case where we can disagree with the speech but allow him to speak.

  6. Cenk, they repo cars with tow trucks or flatbeds. The delinquent knew exactly who and what he was shooting.

    1. anyone who’s ok with taking other people’s property as a job or for a profession, i’m secretly happy when they get shot in the fucking head, even though i know (and agree with you) that it is totally wrong, and while i also know that the person may be doing that job as a necessity due to high unemployment (in which case i don’t want him to be shot), but if it’s someone who chooses to do it, i’m kinda happy for those people to get shot in the head, especially if it’s one of the 80% of dickhead sheriffs or police, sinc e80% of cops are ego tripping bastards who use the law to punish people that have hurt their ego’s, similar to what that judge did to the guy who was in contempt of the court.

      except for the last part, where i talk about law enforcement ppl using the law to punish people who hurt their ego’s, except for that part, all other things i’ve said where emotional statements, nothing about them were logical, just pure emotions. i guess this is what happens when i see people in positions of power stomp on others like it’s just another statistic.

      1. The repo guy is not taking someone’s property they are repossessing the property because they agreed to make payments for the car and did not make them. The car “owner” is stealing the property because technically they do not own the car. The car is the collateral for a loan. If they don’t want them to take the car back and try to recover the money owed, then they should make the payments. By viewing this as someone stealing their car (not really true) people will give sympathy to this guy.for shooting the repo guy. If they can’t make the payments on the car, then they should give it back or sell it and pay off the debt,

        Having said all of that, I don’t care what the circumstances are, if someone is trying to steal your property and you are not directly threatened, you have no right to shoot and kill them. I doubt the repo man threatened this guy will a guy or tried to harm him in anyway. Stealing is not a capital crime, period.
