Cenk is back after being on vacation for 2 weeks.  The story of the release of military sergeant Bowe Bergdahl after being detained by the Taliban for 5 years.  He was released in exchange for 5 Taliban leaders that were being held at Gitmo.  Many are upset that this deal was done since he reportedly abandoned his post, which led to his capture.  Video of Fox News and guests constantly perpetuating the theme, “Obama is now negotiating with terrorists.”  Cenk points out that when Ronald Reagan was president, he openly traded arms for hostages with Iranian terrorists.  He also sold countless weapons to Iran.  Jay Carney and Chuck Hagel denied a negotiation with terrorists.  Mika Brzezinski defended the Obama Admin by claiming that he kills terrorists, so there’s no way he negotiated with them in this case.  Some of the servicemen that fought with Bergdahl are very unhappy about the results of this trade since he cost them lives when he deserted.  Cenk is on the fence when it comes to the nature of the trade since it seems that Bergdahl left his fellow soldiers behind and cost others’ their lives to find him.  Bowe’s father, Bob spoke at a press conference about how proud he is of his son, and spoke to him in another language at one point.  Cenk didn’t like that Bob also pointed out that they will do book tours in the future about their ordeals. Hug Gate between President Obama and Jay Carney after he announced that he will be leaving as press secretary.  Some even speculated that Carney kissed Obama’s arm during the hug.  Now that a gun toting group called Open Carry in Texas is building momentum with a protest where they carry AR-15s and AK-47s everywhere they go, even to lunch in the middle of crowds of people, the NRA even spoke out to say that they are going too far.  The leader of this group responded by saying the NRA is taking the side of gun control groups.  At one of these events, a former Marine approached the Open Carry nuts with a video camera and began receiving death threats.  A school board member in Texas lost her mind on her Facebook page over the election of a man with a Muslim sounding name to serve next to her.  She lambasted voters for not showing up to vote and keep a MUSLIM out of office.  After realizing her bigotry being on display, she came up with empty excuses and claimed it really wasn’t who she is.  In reality, she has a history of exclaiming that people must vote for a Mormon Romney over the Muslim Obama.  President Obama announced a plan to clean up greenhouse gases by implementing new limitations and rules for existing coal power plants.
