  1. I’m sure he’s a drug addict. Addicts get desperate, a lot on a daily basis, for money and sometimes end up doing stupid things to try to get it.

  2. Child endangerment is a crime. Causing a death through negligence is a crime. Why isn’t a church that has caused 82 of these deaths charged with conspiracy? Can’t we use RICO and confiscate the church’s property and the members’ property and bank accounts?

    This could be why these defendants don’t want information about the church’s beliefs used in the trial.

  3. Conversnitch uses a Raspberry PI with a WiFi NIC to record and upload conversations. In a public place, there may be an open WiFi hotspot, so it will work to spec. If there is no WiFi, the snitch has to take the risk of returning to retrieve the item.
    In one’s home, the same applies unless the snatch doesn’t know your WPA2 passphrase or you have MAC address filtering enabled and configured. Then, the snitch again will have to return. That makes it a mush bulkier recording device as many on the market.
