Ana’s story is super funny, though it was not funny for her. And I like how naive (in good way) she is, there is fundamental innocence in her, you can feel it. The pill episode only makes me love her MORE.
I like Cenk’s idea for nations to drink wide and sing Karaoke, but it is idealistic.
Right now there are three parties in Ukraine issue: Western Ukrainians, “just” Ukrainians and Russian Ukrainians. There is difference between Western Ukrainians and non-western Ukrainians, because only the former talk Ukrainian language, and this makes significant difference. The latter speak Russian, and in general they have no issues with Russia, and are not nationalistic-driven.
I am explaining this context of situation to make this point: if you will make Western Ukrainians and Russians sitting together, it might end up badly, not peacefully.
Western Ukrainians have generations-long build up of bitterness about ever being changed hands by and between Russia, Poland and Austria-Hungary. This is why gangs of Hitler collaborationist Bandera, fans of whom now rule in Kiev’s illegal junta, killed over 220 000 Poles, let alone Hungarians and Russians during and even after WWII.
Now Western Ukrainians finally got their place, but it was artificially glued together with South-East Ukraine by Soviets. And with South-East rebelling against junta that Western Ukrainians like they fear that they can lose independence again if Russia will take over WHOLE Ukraine. Thankfully, there are no such plans, Ukrainians of South-East do no claim they want to force Western Ukraine to also be pro-Russia — it is vise versa now, Western Ukrainians demand to crush the East, and do not comply with federalism idea that would allow Easterners to have Russian language by constitution.
This bitterness is of Western Ukrainians is old and not unfounded, so it can not be resolved by good wine and Karaoke, alas. Don’t make them sit with Poles and Hungarians either.

Again, sorry for the off-topic. I would not bring it here if it would not be CRUCIALLY important to what TYT is, what it stands for. You can not be making authorities accountable only HALF of the time, and the other half of the time just tunnel whatever talking points government makes without fact-checking or any essential questioning whatsoever. You can not make audience truly trust you with such approach.
I second this with the amount of propaganda Cenk does which no one calls him out on. It really bothers me when he is selling someone (him) who is supposed to be real but never stops when it comes to pulling the wool over our eyes to get us to believe something he is trying to sell. Now, he ain’t as obvious as others, he does it in a more subtle manner, but it is just as disingenuous as when the other media or fox news does it.
and when i tell ppl this, they never believe me unless i give examples… and even when i give strong, provable examples, they put it down to being 5% of who he is, and that the rest is ok. Yes, the rest is ok but the propaganda stuff is not 5%, its who he is… it’s in him. I’m not sure what the % is because i’m not a political expert, but when he talks about stuff i know really well or things that don’t require expert knowledge, then i catch him out.
This is probably my favorite post game – Cenk and Ana were both just so juvenal about the whole experience and it is really great to see them like that. I love it.
