Cenk’s irritation about ‘heteronormative’ is a tick from his old republican days… but one I actually agree with.
I don’t what cenk’s problem with the word ‘heteronormative’ is, but I do see his point that these people are being silly when they imply that valentine’s day customs are leaving out homosexuals. I don’t know any homosexuals who feel like they have to stay home and avoid romance on valentines day.
After all, the spirit of the day is celebrating a man who bravely married people who were forbidden to be married in a secret ceremony. Its actually a very appropriate holiday for homosexuals who are fighting for marriage equality. I wish we could somehow remember what our holidays mean

Cenk is so wrong about the hetero-normative issue. He can’t imagine what it’s like as a gay person navigating through a hetero-normative world. The point it for heterosexuality NOT be what is normal, the default. Having an LGBT day is the same as separate but equal.

not much of a tennis fan at all but I knew the thing on Anna Kournikova sounded wrong. She was number 8 overall and number 1 in doubles for a time(winning several titles) of course her looks contributed to her fame but she was a very good player. Who had to retire very early due to injuries and never peaked. Cenk’s dismissal of her skills probably proves the point though

I’m VERY interested to see the long-term effects of such things, psychologically. I absolutely love theorizing and thinking about the psychology and sociology of future relationships. But what I don’t get is any judgement now. Like, I’m not worried about the predicted overcrowding of the island of Japan being curbed by modern social trends like this. I sorta see that as a good thing.
well in terms of sexbots. I assume that is where you are going it has to have massive amounts of morality debates and a long time thinking about such things because if those AI do become self aware one day and realize they have been nothing more than sex slaves….
