Hilarity ensues with CNN’s “Gone to Pot” series, as a reporter caught a contact high before reporting to Anderson Cooper.  A strip club on South Beach has been identified as one that had a 13 year old girl dancing there.  She was forced to turn over all of her money to her pimps every night that she worked there.  Their excuse was that she looks older than she is.  A photographer is being sued for $1.1 million by the Empire State Building for doing an impromptu photo shoot of a topless woman from the observation deck.  Cenk thinks they should drop it.  CBS has obtained video of two firetrucks running over the body of a teenage girl on the runway after the crash of her flight at LAX.

A rapper’s lyrics are being used against him for evidence in a murder case he’s being tried for.  The Iranian army is selling particular drugs for income and also feeding it to their army for fighting purposes.

An Iranian news agency claims that new Snowden documents show that the American government is in cahoots with aliens.  Glenn Greenwald responded sarcastically.  A tribe in Ghana celebrates the life of a deceased person by making extravagant coffins.

  1. The U.S.S. Reagan story is still wrong because they don’t have any illness related to any known cause of radiation poisoning. Further the pilots who fly on that carrier should be far more sick than the guys who stay on ship as they are exposed to increased radiation just from flying. The real story should be about how some servicemen who may have real health issues are making false conclusions, possibly intentionally, and as a result are suing without cause.

  2. Man, when the hell did Cenk start going “BAW-BYYYYYYYYYYYEEE” after every show? It’s been happening for a long while now but back in the day he used to sign off like a normal human being. Not saying I don’t like it (idk, it’s weird/quirky, a little fun, mostly eh), but it stood out this time since the sound was cut off right before he did it. Odd.

  3. For most teenagers illegal alcohol is far more difficult to get than illegal drugs, including hard drugs. I know it was the same for me and my friends in H.S.

    1. I don’t see how that’s possible if your parents drink or even if your friend’s parents drink. Do people lock up their liquor or what?

      1. it’s impossible to steal enough beer for five guys (which is like 50 beers) or enough liquor from someone’s parents without it being really obvious that it’s gone

  4. The 13-year-old runaway who was a stripper with pimps calls to mind the recent story of the 13-year-old dancer in Texas who was detained by police with her teachers even though they had a notarized statement from her mother. It shows the ambiguity the police face. Forging such a statement and having a female crony who could answer a phone inquiry and claim to be the mother is a realistic possibility. The fact that in that case the girl and her teachers were actually legitimate raises the problem of the treatment of suspects, who may be innocent as they were in this case, while the case is being investigated. I assume the handcuffing of suspects is to protect the police from a possible assault and holding the suspects overnight in a jail if the case can’t be resolved immediately is inevitable. However, there should be a real effort to treat suspects with the respect due for “presumption of innocence” in terms of whatever mitigation for their detention is practical. I don’t have a solution and have no personal experience with this. I recognize the dilemma. Our outrage at the police in the latter case for racial profiling and over-reaction needs to be tempered by the recognition that a 13-year-old runaway may lie when asked about her status.
