Gov Chris Christie is in a bit of trouble because his top aides in his cabinet closed down a few lanes of the George Washington Bridge in order to negatively affect the town of Fort Lee, whose mayor did not support Christie for his reelection.
Robert Gates was the Defense Secretary under both Bush and Obama and just released a book revealing a lot of inside information about the inner workings of both Admins. Gates really went after Joe Biden, believing that he’s been wrong on every foreign policy decision over the past several decades. During the current fight over whether or not to extend unemployment benefits, the Republicans are struggling to not pass it or take spending from the American people from somewhere else, while trying to avoid looking like careless assholes. A GOP memo was sent to House Repubs to give them talking points to use to show compassion for the unemployed so they can pretend to care. An upcoming book focused on the career of Fox News’ Roger Ailes includes some scathing stories about the head of the Network. Fox News and other journalists have immediately refuted the facts of the book while admitting to not knowing everything in it.

Is global warming real ? Ofcoooorse , it has happened many many times during the history of earth, cooling warming etc, it’s a cycle. Cow farts and cars and what more, did not do it, that’s typical human thinking, how we are the smart powerful creatures, masters of the universe. So yes, it’s real but it can’t be stopped or slowed down by our actions. I am not saying we should pollute more , just it’s stupid to say, we did it , when it has been happening when there was no human polluting, for a long long time. The earth will be just fine, if needed it will shake us, or some of us, off like a dog shakes off annoying fleas.
Increases in CO2 levels & average world temps coincide amazingly with the start of the industrial revolution. So I don’t think it is “stupid” to think that humans have contributed to Global Weirding.

Look, let’s get this straight, if a research vessel gets stuck in ice near the north or south pole, that means there is still a little ice left in the arctic. It doesn’t mean there’s no global warming because there is still ice somewhere on this planet. Now, if they got stuck in ice near, say, the bahamas, then yeah, right wingers would have a point, but snickering over ice in the ARCTIC is beyond imbecilic.
It’s not that they have anything resembling a point. Its just that it is a little funny that the guys going to find out what happened to all the ice got stuck in a bunch of ice.
It does play to simple minded people, to be sure, and it would be really funny if they went down to antarctica, expecting to find all the ice gone, and suddenly got caught in ice. The truth is they expected to study the ice and got stuck in the ice that they were expecting to be there. But of course, all of that is too much detail for any fox news viewer.
