  1. For the love of god stop using the word “believe” to describe one’s understanding of evolution. It’s not a goddamn belief. You can’t believe in a group of evidence that’s used to describe a theory, or the theory itself. I know that’s not what you guys mean, but evolution could still, very well be wrong, but the scientific evidence points to it being true, meaning we have to follow that trail and investigate further. That doesn’t, in any way, constitute a belief. So just don’t use it.

Saying “belief” to describe a scientific theory confuses people into believing that it’s simply an idea that you can opt out of, which means that people can opt out of a common, observable reality. Use the word “understand” instead.

  2. Excellent show. Jimmy was perfection as always. I love taco jokes. I like to see Steve on the show. Dave is shiny and I have enjoyed his contribution to TYT in 2013. Too strong!

  3. Jimmy, if you are vaccinated you are more protected but not immune. The more people are vaccinated, the least chance you have of coming in contact with xyz virus.

    1. Plus some people can’t get the vaccination b/c they are allergic or have other health problems so you are putting those innocent people at greater risk as well.

      1. Word. Herd immunity protects everyone including those who can’t take the vaccine. for various reasons. Having people intentionally deprive their children of this is crazy. Next stop: hygiene is a tool of the devil.

  4. lofl Jim polo does work. It’s HPV and flushot that are bullshit. Chickpox shot sounds good but it’s not something that I would give my children because in the long run it isn’t good. I have talked to a lot of children that had that and wish they never got it but just got the chicken pox.

    1. Obviously, children are the best arbiters of their own health. If children don’t enjoy something, we shouldn’t do it to them. Like school, or braces.

  5. THE FLUSHOT IS PROVEN TO DO JACKSHIT AND WHAT I FUCKING HATE IS HOW PEOPLE DON’T ACTUALLY DO RESEARCH ABOUT THAT. I don’t feel bad for Jimmy because he didn’t do the research and anybody who doesn’t do the research deserves to get sick like Cenk did when he got the flushot and for shit like that to happen to Jim. THE RESEARCH PROVES THAT ONLY NEGATIVE THINGS HAPPEN WITH THE FLUSHOT AND YOU DON’T GET PROTECTED FROM ANYTHING. THE HPV VACCINE PEOPLE SAY WELL WE DON’T KNOW ENOUGH TO KNOW IF THE NEGATIVENESS OUTWEIGH THE POSITIVES. SO I FUCKING SAY FIGURE THAT OUT BEFORE WE HAVE A FUCKING LEAD PROBLEM OR MERCURY PROBLEM. Those were thought as perfectly fine. Same with fluoride. Now it’s known that those will kill us AND STILL NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT THEM. Steve Oh is 100% wrong and a fucking idiot.

    1. You almost had me thinking that you were a little nutty, until you brought up fluoride. Now I know you’re batshit crazy.

  6. I hate everybody who is outright against vaccines. I also hate the people who think that all vaccines are good like the HPV vaccine that is proven to cause cervical cancer. That is the same corporation that has been found guilty whenever they go to court for the most part. The same with the flushot that is 100% bullshit as well. There are a few other injections that are pointless.

    1. This is the crap people hate about anti-vaccine people. The HPV vaccine has not been proven to cause cervical cancer, it is quite the opposite, by immunizing against HPV, cervical cancer rates are set to dramatically drop.

The misinformation campaign against the HPV vaccine came about because the producers of Gardasil were lobbying to have the vaccine made compulsory. Parent/religious/anti vaccine groups did not like this because HPV is sexually transmitted and in the US sex is something that must not be mentioned.

      1. ” I also hate the people who think that all vaccines are good like the HPV vaccine that is proven to cause cervical cancer.”

What do you think the HPV vaccine does? It prevents a virus that has been proven to cause cervical cancer in sizable proportion of cases. You might want to take note that in another comment on this video, kazooga mentioned he doesn’t know who his/her employer is.

  7. Cenk can I put unknow for employer because I don’t know that. I hate that we have to fill out that stupid form.

  8. the death penalty is ALWAYS off the table, no matter the criminal. What the fuck? We can’t decide who lives and dies (well, so directly at least).

  9. Even though I don’t really drink, I had to pause the show before the end and run to the store so I could join in on the toast! :P I don’t know why it got sentimental for me there… That’s why I love TYT. It’s a real unique and personal show that makes you feel like you know and have a connection with rather than some other robotic news outlet. Jimmy is right! Who else in the mainstream does what TYT does?

    BTW,
    HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYBODY!

  10. I am experiencing massive overuse of the word experiencing on the site. Apparently, even the alcoholic monkeys are experiencing a boost in their immune system. Guys, who are you experiencing is writing these summaries for you? I suggest mild bustnuts experiencing :D

    1. Thanks for this experience Zus! In the upcoming year of 2014, I’m going to look back on this experience and realize that experiencing experiences like this one may or may not be such a good experience. I find that some experiences are overrated and not worth experiencing at all. But I appreciates you sharing your experience about experiencing massive overuse of the word experience. It definitely will be an experience I won’t soon forget! :-P
