  1. Lamb tastes good, just depends on the way it is cooked. Arabs are great with lamb, South East Asians aren’t bad either. Lamb isn’t very tender. But if you want tender meat leave it to the Arabs.

  2. I agree w/you guys about the syncing up…….someone’s slacking on their responsibility. Re: Cenk’s nephew not eating seafood after seeing the lobster boiled alive. When my daughter was in the 3rd grade she went to her first (and last) 4-H meeting where they transported the kids to a slaughter house (w/out the parents knowledge and/or consent). The kids witnessed a cow getting shot in the forehead. For months afterwards, at dinner time she’d see meat and start crying. I was one of only two parents livid w/the sponsor. All the others (Texans) thought it’s just part of life. Yeah, the unnecessarily cruel part.

  3. Cenk in NJ lobster isn’t as expensive I live in MA and I have gotten a good lobster for about 15 dollars. Back when you were younger probably a shitload less but preparing it yourself is a bitch. That is why I pay the 15 bucks for it at a restaurant.

  4. Audio Sync Issue… please check these before they are posted! Often there are breaks not edited out in the upload, please more professionalism. I love TYT but getting the member content uploads right seems to be a low priority these days :(

  5. I’m 30 and I’ve never had lobster before. It never even occurred to me to go out and try it. The closest I’ve had were crab legs at a buffet.

Anyway, why is it called a sacrifice if you eat the meat in the end anyway? What exactly is the sacrifice?

  6. A little history: “Dirt-cheap because they were so copious, lobsters were routinely fed to prisoners, apprentices, slaves and children during the colonial era and beyond. In Massachusetts, some servants sought to avoid lobster-heavy diets by including stipulations in their contracts that they would only be served the shellfish twice a week.”

  7. My sisters saw my grandparents slaughter a goat or a lamb (I was too young to remember) at their house before feeding it to everyone. They were sort of traumatized, but we still eat meat.

    1. My immediate first thought. I know Cenk doesn’t eat like that every night (surely not). Maybe only on Thursday’s date night! $20 for a lobster … man, priorities. Granted, Cenk did recognise it was an elitist conversation, but I now question the TYT financial requirements and my donations.

Or, am I being too sensitive about this? Is it just a case of … it’s a fricken lobster and they taste good.

Regarding the madagh … did you know there is a town called Madagh? And it’s in Morocco! Jayar should have hit that place up when he was there… http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madagh,_Morocco

    2. Calm down guys.

Cenk is paid by TYT. He then uses the money that he earned to buy himself a lobster dinner. he does NOT use TYT funds to pay for his dinner.

    3. The man can’t eat now because you gave obviously unrelated money to tyt to build a studio and Cenk apparently doesn’t get a salary?
