The end of The Young Turks on Current.  Updates on the violence of Egypt with over 600 people dead, many Muslim Brotherhood supporters.  The violence broke out right after a deal didn’t go through between the Brotherhood and the military  Apparently, one of the reasons it didn’t work is because of the flippant way that Sens. Graham and McCain spoke to the Egyptian media.  Bill O’Reilly said that Oprah’s experience with racism should be ignored.  Rush Limbaugh’s hypothesis on why Oprah was turned down is that she fat, not Black.  A Conservative group that thinks Fox News is going away from Conservative beliefs is upset that they are pushing Hannity out for Megyn Kelly, calling her a pro-homosexual advocate.  20 Tea Party groups wrote a letter to Sen Lamar Alexander, asking him to retire from the Senate due to his track record of bipartisanship and compromise to Democrats.  Popular author Orson Scott Card is losing support from fans due to his homophobic rants, and now his comments about race and President Obama. Controversy over the Missouri rodeo clown dressed as Obama.  At first, this wouldn’t seem like a big deal until a spectator explained that the atmosphere was that of a KKK rally.  Conservative talkers like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck are rallying around the racists that took part in this.  After James Clapper lied to Congress about the NSA spying program, a PPP poll showed that the majority of people in 5 select states, both Red and Blue, believe that he should be charged with perjury.

  2. I don’t agree with Orson Scott Card but please tone down the character assassination. It really hurts your credibility.

  3. Orson aint no Kurt Vonnegut. Enders Game was ok. I read it during summer vacation when I was a kid. Then I later found out there was a part 2 of the book, and it had the same stupid tease quotes at the beginning of each chapter. I was so disappointed that I didn’t read it. He should have stopped at one book. And yea, I agree with Cenk. The guy must be nuts.

  13. I’m really surprised you did a segment about Orson Scott Card and not mention how massively, famously anti-gay he is, saying he’d rather the government burn to the ground than gays be allowed to be married.
