Ariel Castro sentenced to 1000 years. He defends himself in court. Ariel Castro looks like an actor from Breaking Bad.
Music video racist against Asians. College president in Michigan makes a racist comment
explaining that there aren’t enough minorities (brown ones) in his college. Study about doubling the salary of fast food employees
had screwed up methodology. Cenk corrects story about a Yemeni girl who supposedly ran away from home to avoid being married off. Average size of US women and how the company
LuLuLemon disrespects larger women. Wendy Davis, who filibustered anti-abortion legislation,
is being blamed for forcing special sessions that cost taxpayers millions of dollars. Rolling Stone cover with Boston Bomber
sold more of that issue, double the average. Cenk and Ana hosting.
Comments
When I watched the Asian Girlz video, it seemed very obvious to me that this was pure satire. At no point was I under the impression that I was meant to take any of it seriously. Cenk, remember your position on whether comedians should be allowed to be controversial. This is not so different. Maybe I’m giving them too much credit, but it seemed like a commentary on racism.
Cenk’s dad is hilarious

Cenk, it really frustrates me when you pass judgement on a woman’s attire or looks. I think it’s because it reminds me of how society at large assumes that everything a woman does is for someone else (namely, men.) It’s a societal result of skewed media, a man-centered history. and a lack of women’s rights.
“I wear these short-shorts so XYZ will notice my bottom.”
“I wear this makeup because they’ll think I’m hot.”
“Oh! i can’t possibly get a tattoo – people on TV say it’s so unattractive!”
It reinforces the idea that it doesn’t matter what SHE wants or why SHE got the tattoos – only that it is or is not for the gawking public’s pleasure. Ana even replies “Well some guys are into it!” – which again, isn’t the point.
To be fair – I know this is a bad example because this music video actress is putting herself on display, knowingly opening herself up to that sort of public discussion, but in general (I’m thinking back to Cenk’s recent comments on the waif-thin model) what a woman looks like should have nothing to do with whether or not a man will like or not like it.
It would be great if, instead of passing judgement on women and their bodies or decisions – even if he caveats it with “this is MY opinion”, Cenk sent the message that “we aren’t going to talk about her tattoos because her body isn’t put on this earth for man’s pleasure/displeasure/discussion/criticism/critique. It’s not about us.”
Love, a great fan,

Funny that you pointed out her tattoos. I’ve recognized this girl by her rib tattoo, because it’s an amazing tattoo. She’s also a model for tattoos- I’ve seen her in some tattoo magazines. Having said that, I hate the stars on her back.
Its a song and the point of music is to get attention and make money off of the music. I don’t tink the video is so bad. There are plenty of songs out there and if you don’t like this music don’t listen to it. She is a beutiful women and her tattoo’s are amazing. Like I said the point is to get the attention and to make money so the more we cover the story the more money they make. You guys say all the time that if people don’t agree with you not to watch the show and I think this is the same if you don’t agree with the song or video don’t watch it. I love you guys and I love your opionions but be open minded to tattoo’s and music. I think they did exactly what they went out to do… get some attention and make money. Sounds like they made a smart move kinda like the magazines putting out bad cover photo’s.
Thanks for putting links in the intro again. Big help!
Hey Big People: Stop fucking eating!!
Good one, I’m sure they haven’t thought of that.
I’m surprised that you guys missed in the video how the one girl is dating all of the guys in the band. Perhaps they were trying to say that she’s a prostitute as well?
And Cenk calm down about the tattoos…
I’m with grampa Cenk about the tattoos, but it is a lost battle. A newer generation may reject tattoos.
hahaha dave always priceless.
Sorry, Cenk, but she is lovely despite the tattoos.
