Kate Middleton gives birth to the royal baby boy.  Britain has established a porn blocking system on everyone’s internet that would have to be specifically taken off by each user.  A woman living and working in Dubai was raped by a co-worker, and was arrested when she reported the crime.  She has just now been released after huge public outcry from around the world. Intergenerational mobility is clearly most heavily affected by geographic location that has more opportunity.  A former Mormon preacher recently completely changed his mind on the religion due to his internet research and enlightenment.  Geraldo Rivera tweeted a naked picture of himself.  TYT Supreme Court decides.

  1. Late fan binge-watch, 13 days and counting…
I was born and live in Michigan, ironically in the tiny red square sticking up towards North in the SW area of Michigan. Small town where my health has not only kept me from finishing school or getting a job, but has been made enormously worse by the incompetent hospitals and doctors here! I am 99% sure if I lived in LA or North Cali, I would have gotten MUCH better treatment, and doctors would actually give AF that a 28 year-old suddenly DIES of total renal failure and TWO pulmonary embolisms (with heart failure due to heart enlargement), is not revived for well over an hour (found alone at home) with NO apparent brain damage! The nurses were so shocked they were constantly gossiping about my case at the station in the hall during my 6-8 week stay in ICU, but even though the docs mentioned it being unheard of there, they never asked me any questions about it or had me explain my experience in ANY way. I thought they, or at least someone in a news station, would want to find out what I went through and figure out WHY! I have also died again since then, about 16 months ago, also for an hour, but during that hour was shocked back 18+ times, and I recall most of them. I wish I could get a ghostwriter for my story…

    1. Did I mention I’ve been living on disability income and Medicaid since age 12? These days the govt. expects me to be fine with less than HALF the US poverty level, with no funds for toiletries on the food card that gives me $3 per day for food and drinks. Netflix, Amazon Prime, a nice HDTV and a CAR are all impossible for me to have, as are clothes that are NEW, furniture that’s not free, near-landfill-quality furniture! My medication alone, required for my survival, is nearly a THIRD of my monthly income!

  2. Comment to the discussion on net censorship:
    1. It is incredibly easy to by-pass the filtration that the ISP’s have.
    2. It is incredibly difficult to filter the content automatically. There are tons of examples where totally legitimate sites have been blocked.
    3. Police are already able to go after criminal activity on the internet. If the porn is illegal, they can go after it. If it is not illegal, I don’t see a reason to ban it or the need to raise unnecessary hoops to jump through.
    4. This is one of the cases where the slippery slope argument is valid. Who wants to bet that p2p-sites are next in line.
    5. Censorship is a dangerous remedy to a non-existent problem.

  3. Hey guys, Is it Mickey Madison? Micki Madison? Miki Madison? Why can’t I find her name and YouTube channel in the show notes? She’s great. I like her, and want to check out her other work, but can’t find it. Please, when TYT has a guest, include their name and info in the show notes. It’s the right thing to do, it’s easy, and makes appearing on the show more attractive to emerging personalities in media.

  4. THIS STORY IS BEING SUPPRESSED BY MAINSTREAM MEDIA!

THE LAPD CREMATES MICHAEL HASTING’S BODY (TO DESTROY THE EVIDENCE) BY EXPLICITLY DISOBEYING FAMILIES WISH TO HAVE FULL BODY RETURNED HOME. THEY SENT HIM TO FAMILY IN A URN FULL OF ASHES!

    MORE… http://wp.me/p3FwEO-e

PLEASE UP-VOTE/LIKE HERE AND IN ARTICLE TO ENSURE THIS GETS THE COVERAGE IT DESERVES!
WHY ISN’T THE YOUNG TURKS COVERING THIS?

  5. Crazy ignorant lady.. never heard of any of these issues before… Censoring the whole internet by the Goverment.. offcourse they (the goverments) proactivivly get rid o the chiild porn on IP sites in their country and IP ban others that you cant control.. but all of the world basically cooperatates against child porn and get rids of the open, known child porn.
And never heard about the Gulf problem with rapes on foreign (and definitely domestic) womens and blame the victim afterwards.. and their laws..

  6. Muppet show, no, no sir.

Kanye West and Kim Kardshian…. hmmm, do they set a good morale example for the populous of the US? Do they serve in the miltiary, and risk their lives in the service of others? Have they fought to ensure the freedom of other Americans? Because several of the British Royal family have:

Prince Harry; two tours of Afghanistan, one as an infantry soldier
Prince Willim; search and rescue helicopter pilot
Prince Andrew; served as a sea-king helicopter pilot in the falklands war
Prince Charles; flew multiple types of aircraft, and commandd warships.

…….and Kim Kardashian made a sex tape.

    Really, are they the same?

    1. Well said. We all love Cenk, but as one of his many Brit fans, I have to say: You don’t understand the purpose of the monarchy. The Queen is the focus of patriotism in the UK – a much less aggressive focus for unity than what serves a similar purpose in other countries – the military, race, religion etc. You have to live in the UK to understand the purpose of it. We’re a very diverse country, but everyone can buy into the 1,000 yr institution of the monarchy. The Queen is revered by English, Scots, Welsh, Irish, Pakistanis, Indians – by everyone who lives here.

She also links us to our overseas cousins as she is Queen of Canada, Australia, New Zealand etc, and Head of the Commonwealth.

Sure, we never elected the royals, but the Queen is more popular than any elected figure in the UK – if we didn’t want a monarchy, they’d be gone. Remember – we tried that in 1649 when we cut the head of Charles I!

As for cost, the monarchy costs every UK taxpayer $1 per year – the Ozzies, Kiwis, Canadians, Jamaicans etc get her for free. Remember – I wonder how much the presidency costs US taxpayers.

Americans may scoff at our monarchy, but it has served us very well since 1066. We’ve had parliamentary govt since 1688, it works tremendously well, the monarchy sets a great example of service and are very popular. They are not at all like cheap, shallow celebrities on both sides of the Atlantic!

      1. Well articulated Sam, very eloquent indeed. Your explanation of the point of the Queen was spot-on.
