More on the Zimmerman verdict and Juror B-37’s prejudice.  Video of Tavis Smiley arguing with O’Reilly over the lack of empathy for Black men in America.  Fox News’ attacks on the NAACP meeting.  Bill O’Reilly called it the grievance industry.  Story of a 76 year old man that shot and killed his 13 year old Black neighbor that he suspected of stealing from him. There is a network of undersea communication cables that stretch across the world, and we’ve been wiretapping those since the Bush Admin.  During hearings in Congress, members from both sides of the aisle finally have a problem with the NSA program.  Cenk tells the story of a whistleblower that exposed Swiss banks that looked to screw over Holocaust victims. A Conservative political strategic group had interactions with Michele Bachmann.  The head of the group once sent her a “female pleasure machine” by accident.

  1. Hi Cenk I just wanted to mention I’m Swiss and most Swiss people I know are just as annoyed by our banks as you are the American banks. (just as a sidenote)
Btw I wont comment on the Zimmermann issue as I think him getting off is beyond absurd.

  2. I’ve been thinking about why George Zimmerman will have to live watching his back, it’s guilt, he knows he killed a child, he fears that all people are like him, he’d be better if he was in jail, there is protective custody there. I don’t think that someone will harm him, unlike him, most people are not dumb beasts, serves him right, after killing a child he will never get a good night sleep knowing his actions will catch up with him. No rest for the wicked. Living with what he has done is punishment enough, fear will always be following his footsteps.

    1. I only wish you were right. From what I’ve seen of him, his brother and his family, these are not people displaying remorse or empathy. And they seem to surround themselves with an echo-chamber that strengthens their bigotry and self-righteousness. I wouldn’t be surprised if Zimmerman has completely justified the actions to himself in his twisted mind. And I fear he will have no such nightmares as you speak of.

      1. Absolutely. George Zimmerman could not care less about what he did. He’s a murderer and he’s a proud murderer

      2. It’s impossible to be sure, of course, but I largely agree. Many people have a remarkable ability to lie to them selves very effectively and ignore all else.
