Conservative talkers like Glenn Beck and Laura Ingraham are defending Paula Deen. Texas House passed a serious anti-abortion law. A Texas Democrat is filibustering the bill. One female Republican claimed that a rape kit cleans out a woman that has been raped, so abortions aren’t necessary in instances of rape. A survey found that 23% of kids in the U.S. are living in poverty. Ana compares this to “Rich Kids of Instagram.” People in their 30s are much worse off than the same age group in 1983; their income is down 21%. A police officer forced a woman to lift her shirt, shake her bra, and expose herself, under the guise searching her. Many of Monica Lewinsky’s intimate items are being auctioned off by a former lover of hers. John Wayne Bobbitt told a tabloid that he’s gotten more sex with women due to his severed penis story.

Cenk’s wrong. Controlling the car remotely is probably a feature. You could unlock the doors remotely but still design the system to where the accelerator or brake is physically not accessible from the same interface as the door locks.
I believe the correct word is ‘castrate’…

Cenk as bad Alex Jones? Please!! I listened to Alex Jones the other day, he stated the Michael Hastings crash was obviously caused by a “dash bomb”. Jones’ show is draining to listen to, its almost identical to the parody conspiracy radio show on GTA 4!
Honestly, i’m totally fine with Anonymous releasing this would-be rapist cop’s personal information. So sick of these people abusing their authority over us and getting away with this stuff. Fuck that cop, he deserves everything he gets.
Ana has been hinting that her and her boyfriend are having problems for a while now. She needs to just break up with him. Every show she makes some reference to getting with another guy or she doesn’t wanna get married or “whoever she ends up with”. Someone totally in love with one man does not normally say stuff like that.
Ha! I’ve thought the same thing. It’s like she’s constantly dissing him. Yeah, embrace it or move on, Ana!
While it is great that there is momentum building behind the movement to remove corporate money and lobbying from the democratic process, don’t imagine for one instance that this is the end of it. Here in the UK we have relatively stricter laws safe-guarding against money explicitly influencing politicians. However what we can see is that through processes such as the old boys network, the rotating door between govt and business and allowing a time lapse between doing and collecting favours, politicians are obviously making decisions in favour of their future pay-masters based on an understanding of pay-back after retiring from politics. I’m not suggesting this is the example to prove the case but if we take the case of ex-prime minister Tony Blair, who when he left politics was (and still is) despised by the majority of the British population. He earned approx $300,000 annually when Prime minister. Currently for consultancy and advisory work that he does for major corporations around the world he is taking home approx $30 million per year; a hundred fold increase in his annualmsalary! Do we really believe that right now he is working a hundred times harder than when he was the prime minister of UK or is his current pay-check his reward for services to his friends when he was in power? Just make sure that when you remove the obvious ways in which money gets into politics, you also learn from other countries who have already put such protections in place and now have to deal with the corporate world’s fight-back to re-introduce bribery back into politics.
These “constitution” defenders like Beck are a joke. The first amendment prevents the government from blocking your free speech. It doesn’t prevent another private individual, with equally free speech, from firing your ass if what you say is against the company’s policies or best interest.
By the way, Beck’s logic is apparently that Dean is both not a racist, and should be defended for being racist.
