Bob Dole and Olympia Snowe had harsh comments for the Republican Party’s manner of gridlocking everything in Congress, and not coming up with any ideas.  Mitch McConnell’s potential Democratic opponent is tied with him in the upcoming race.  John McCain went to Syria on Memorial Day.  Bob Schieffer thinks that Obama should rethink his entire communication policy.  David Axelrod responded by saying he’s not sympathetic to Schieffer’s plight of not being able to get a guest for his show.  Cenk doesn’t buy Eric Holder’s remorse about the subpoena of the Fox News’ reporter.

Medea Benjamin confronted on CNN by anchor Carol Costello.  She finally addressed what was actually “rude” in American policy overseas.  Audio of Eric Bolling and Geraldo arguing over the blame on Benghazi.  Cenk agrees with Bolling’s points.  Sen Inhofe has declared to NewsMax that anyone calling climate change into question over the devastating tornado in Oklahoma is doing the victims a disservice. President Obama and Congressional Repubs are fighting over the reason 4 vacancies still exist in the DC Court of Appeals.  Dems point out that it takes the longest for Obama’s nominees to be approved than any other president.  The GOP claims that Obama simply takes too long to nominate, but its Republicans’ job to push the slate of nominees, which they won’t.  Twitter Storm with Jenny Huang.

  1. Watching hour 1 of 5/28/13 show. Cenk is talking about Heraldo Rivera “putting words into Bolling’s mouth”. That’s the pot calling the kettle black. Cenk has slowly been drifting into the Fox News style of “putting words into the mouth” of the people he intervews. One quick example: On the 3/28/13 Current TV show, Cenk asks Tommy Chong, “Is President Obama being terribly hypocritical regarding pot?” If Chong answers yes, he just called Obama a hypocrite, accepting Cenk’s words as his own. Fortunately he is smart enough to reframe the question. In my opinon, the question should have been something like, “What do you think about President Obama’s stance on pot, given his prior use?” Then Chong could have used his own words to give Cenk an opinion.

Lately, Cenk seems so intent on bashing Obama that he is using more exaggeration and outrageous assumptions to make his points. This is weakening his desire to remain “objective.” Cenk, you don’t know what’s in Obama’s heart, nor the reasons behind the decisions he makes. SOME of them MAY be political or driven by campaign contributions, for sure, but YOU don’t know which ones are, and you seldom accept that there MAY be more complicated legitimate reasons. It’s a complicated job, with a lot of interests to satisfy, so lighten up. You’re starting to act like an Obama hater.

  2. Also, Medea IS A REAL AMERICAN HERO. She has got more courage, will power & inner strength than 10 bodybuilders of Arnold’s caliber combined.

  3. I think we should be grateful to CNN for not wheeling in Blitzer the clown & treating Medea like a 5 year old by making her say sorry to Obama.

  4. if cenk thinks anyone would watch TYT main show without him, he is dreaming. You think i’m gonna watch TYT for ana? Don’t get me wrong, I like her for many reasons and what not, but there is no one in TYT that has the full package that Cenk has. He, on top of being very logical about everything, is actually very funny – not just comedian funny either, beyond comedian funny. This makes the show watchable. Otherwise, anyone can watch another independent news outlet. Jimmy Dore would probably come closest to replacing him, but even he cannot replace Cenk entirely. Cenk is just on another level. Without him, there is no TYT – all the other shows that dont contain him will never come up to the level of TYT main show.

    1. bm3racer, Totally agree with each and every word you’ve said- except for your choice of the person to replace Cenk. I think only Steve Oh is capable of filling in for Cenk

    2. Needlessly throwing Ana, DJ triple J, Steve & the rest of TyT under a MASSiVE bus… Cenk is the shit, he is the heart of TyT but they could certainly kill it if the Gov. decided to take him out…. my only beef with TyT is… Where THE HELL is Jimmy Dore?!? Nobody would know cuz nobody ever spreads the word on TYT Comedy

  5. Your coverage of Medea Benjamin was really decent. I just posted the comment for the the 5/24 show by mistake.

  6. OK seriously? Why in the world should Inhofe thank Obama for disaster relief???? It’s OUR money. It’s OUR government. The American people are the ones who he should thank (or not thank). The idea that somehow Obama should be thanked for doing the job that we elected him to do and that he gets paid for is absurd.

This is something I would have expected to hear from Michael Shure or someone on MSNBC…not Cenk.

  7. Ambassador Jenny can’t be on the show anymore, she’s just too beautiful and it’s making my brain explode

  8. Bolling’s tone and framing – his intention is to imply the president is a murderer. I rarely say this but you’re wrong here. Geraldo called a spade a spade here.

    1. Ditto, Eric Bolling was clearly tossing red meat to the tin-foil hat crowd not the reasonable response that Cenk was inferring on Bolling’s behalf. Bolling was making the argument that the highest levels of the Obama administration intentional left Americans to die. Bolling’s perspective (whether or not he really believes the vast conspiracy) is offensive and Geraldo regulating his a$$ was totally appropriate, and Bolling’s temper tantrum response shows that he had no real argument.
