Lauren Windsor’s U Can’t Cut This video featuring several members of the TYT cast.  A woman in Indonesia drowned her 9 year old son because he had a small penis and felt he’d have a lot of negativity to deal with in life.  Video of South African police dragging a man to death; tied to the back of a police van.  The man was a cab driver that got into a conflict with the police where he got the upper hand by taking away an officer’s gun.  Even though he didn’t shoot anyone, they resorted to this tactic to punish him. Bloomberg Businessweek magazine is catching heat for an offensive cover depicting Black people and Latinos as money grabbing homeowners with big lips.

Cenk got more worked up during the break about the Bloomberg Businessweek cover.  A Sunni student criticized the “Cop a Feel” efforts to convince women to get breast cancer screenings.  This complaint highlights the many ways the breast cancer efforts have devolved into simply sexualizing boobs. Salon.com  A couple of different bills put forward in Arkansas are designed to eliminate abortion after 12 weeks. Arkansas abortion law.  Students in Andover, MA are being sent home with a “Fat Letter” to tell parents that their kid is overweight. Huffington Post  A 19 year old man was shot 15 times by former gang members and survived. Fox Atlanta  Aspartame has been put in many of our dairy products lately and those companies are lobbying the FDA to continue to be able to do this. Huffington Post aspartame story  Some kids in S.   6. This is the 3rd time I’ve heard Cenk’s conspiracy theory about Coke Zero and aspartame. You would think he might look at the back of a can before hatching this conspiracy… Coke Zero’s main artificial sweetener is aspartame… fail.

  7. I’ve seen a couple of different articles about that Bloomberg Businessweek magazine cover. The sadder thing is that the corporate media and the powers that be is greatly successful in pushing the idea that minorities are to blame for the housing bubble. Every comment thread I’ve seen in those articles have people agreeing to that false narrative and saying horrible racist things. It’s really sad and depressing that we don’t have honest and reliable news sources to inform the public.

  8. Literally 5 seconds before Cenk started talking about drinking Coke, I went and grabbed a can…. *shifty look…* then Ana starts saying “you don’t have to have one with every meal…. I realise this is my 3rd can of the day… (although.. technically it’s after midnight… so… 1st can of the day!)
    Way to make me feel guilty guys! Although I will say, despite agreeing that BMI isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, I do a Wii fit weigh in every night, and my BMI is in the normal range.. so HA! Not everyone is overweight/obese based on BMI. I think I can handle having this can of coke… at least for a few more years, until my metabolism starts to drop…

    1. Yeah! Stay away from the soda…. But go ahead and have yourself a potato party with all the McDonald’s dipping sauce you can eat! Don’t forget to try the Honey Mustard!! :)
