I had this weird comical theory that a republican programmer that thought that he was slick (“I’m doin’ it for the Lord” the dumbass says) , was some how able to infect the TYT computers with Digital Herpes or CPV = Computer Papyloma Virus . Either way I Luv U Guys any way and am patient enough to not complain about messups , I always say “Well there’s one mistake that I’m definitely not going to repeat , I have learned” , and hopefully by the time that I have learned that lesson every body still has all of their fingers . No I don’t want to have a job playing with industiral machinery .
Thank you Cenk, Mark R. and the crew of TYT. Been sticking with y’all for years and will continue to as you only grow in 2013. Keep up the good work TYT.
It would be great for general conversation with like-minded people, and would be a perfect place for discussion of site issues, requests, notices, etc.
Hey Cenk, just wanted to say that we love the work that you and Ana have done. I’m a brand new member (and was one of the complainers early this week), but I wanted you to know that I’m glad that you came out and said your bit. A little bit of feedback on what was going on I think is exactly what we wanted. A forum sounds awesome, and once again I thank you for talking to the members.
I’m really glad that there is going to be a new forum. I hope it is something modern and not like the old forum. I also hope you guys work on the issue of not timing members out halfway after downloading the video.
Another issue that I hope gets resolved is the general design of this site. It isn’t very user friendly. Why not have an archive section instead of just plopping everything down on the front page?
It sounds like management of the web site is being re-organized. This is good news. I’ve always believed that TYT’s web site should be a much higher priority. While YouTube is a good outlet and source of income, it’s always been the TYT community that was and is responsible for TYT’s rise, even on YouTube. That community lost much of its coherence when TYT de-emphasized the forum, and nearly disappeared went to Current TV and cut the forum out altogether.
I hope the forum comes with a complete re-design of the web site allowing for more interactivity and features, such as guest articles (I’ll bet David Sirota and Glenn Greenwald could be talked into writing something every now and then), and a better outlet for TYT Network’s other shows, which don’t get nearly enough publicity and aren’t even close to being adequately available. (Youtube may be a good secondary outlet for clips, but clips do not make for good shows.)
The news of the renewed focus on the web is very heartening. I’m looking forward to a better future with TYT.
Hi – Thanks for the message – I’d like to see if this small request will ever get heard.
I make this request for the convenience of each and every listener you have online. Here it is.
It would seem to be simple common sense to post ANY schedule changes to the show on the front page of the website as soon as you know about them.
1. Schedule changes occur frequently – whenever there is a holiday, or sometimes for something special like the Innaguration, when the show’s first hour was skipped and the show didn’t start at all until an hour later.
2. The current way to find out if the show schedule is changed is haphazard and random – sometimes you announce it on air, but guess what, not everyone watches every minute of single show. Or you can go to the chatroom sometimes and find out. How tedious it is for one person in chat to have to sit there and tell individuals over and over again – yes the show is at a different time today blah blah blah.
3. Not informing your audience in a simple way that the show schedule has changed is simply dumb – you will create frustration and ultimately lose viewers because of this.
4. The solution is simple – a simple addition to the front page, perhaps a box or just an area that states click here for the weeks show schedule. then in that area any changes can be quickly made to keep your audience informed and up to date, and prevent a lot of confusion.
I have requested this before and never gotten any kind of response to it. Thanks.
cenk my hero – the only one who really cares. Thanks for taking time to let us know that our concerns are important & that part of the plan is to set up a more direct line of communication, even though you looked very tired and exhausted. We too understand and care for tyt.
Please try and make it easier to play on an iphoneor iPad. The live features are fine, but I can only get half of the show usually by pressing the video download. The audio download works some of the time, but sometimes it too ceases towards the end.
I’m not sure if it’s possible, but I think what could be useful for the members is some sort of Road Map for the site(However rough it is) for things that people have been asking for.
Along the lines of:
in two months each show will get it’s own uploaded page(Common Room/Jimmy Doore Show/Pop Trigger) At the moment it’s really hard to track them down.
In six months the archives will be up
There is currently no plans to bring back a fully fledged forum feature
To track down the network shows: Common Room, etc go to the home page and on the right hand side (scroll down a bit) it says “categories” that will help you get there.
Dave has been working on a site redesign that will be coming up in February that will help with navigation.
The archives is a daily task of pulling tapes from the archive, uploading them to a computer, cutting them, encoding them, uploading them, then posting them.
It’s time consuming.
I will be working on that now and I am aiming to have at least one new archived show up a day M-F.
The forum will be up in February with Dave’s redesign.
Oh, no! Just when I was getting used to life without a TYT forum, it’s coming back? Drat. Now I’ll have to dump my girlfriend since I won’t have time for her anymore.
if you are re doing stuff on the site I have a suggestion drop the flash player, make it so that you can play the videos on the site on iPad’s and iPhone’s etc
I was a little frustrated, but it’s all good. I love seeing TYT grow. When I became a member two years ago, they were still in their old studio.. only a few YouTube channels (WTF, TYT Interviews, etc.) ..but now, look at it! I couldn’t be more happy.
Cenk, and everyone involved (including you Mark, Kim), keep up the great work, and stay true to yourselves. It’s certainly been a bumpy ride, but I love every minute of it. Thanks, on behalf of a struggling, Canadian, first year university student.. but most of all, a fan. Much love and respect.
Thank you for that. I would really like to see the archives put back up. They used to go back for years and it was great for people like me who hadn’t seen them yet. If that isn’t possible for some reason, then if someone could organize the You Tube channel into monthly play lists, January 2009, February 2009, March 2009, etc. I know that there are 13,839 videos, but that would make it much easier to go back and watch older videos.
Hello Stratyllis, I am glad you brought this up, I have posted several times on this too. I appreciate Cenk addressing this week’s problems, but we really should be told whether the deep archives, that some were told were part of what members could access, are slated to come back, ever. I love the show but without that content, I would rather just watch or capture the stream from you-tube and put my membership money to wolf-pac instead.
That’s great news Mark. Glad that you addressed it. I was worried that for whatever reason (copyrighted music, p.r., etc) that the archives had been permanently pulled.
No love lost brother, I appreciate your honesty. Yes its been frustrating but shit happens and i get it and i think most of us do as well. Keep up the good work.
As a web developer, I just want to say I love you guys and I understand completely.
People complain about website issues way too much though. Websites are people my friend, they make mistakes.
The whiners should spend that time complaining to senators and representatives about the corporations actually intentionally screwing them over instead of writing a micro-blog about how a podcast is 1 day late.

Watching this video post-haircut, and yeah “thanks God” for the haircut! =D
Awesome, thanks Cenk.
A very imprtant aspect of the site that is missing is a button on homepage that directs to member RSS feed. thanks
Thank you Cenk, Mark R. and the crew of TYT. Been sticking with y’all for years and will continue to as you only grow in 2013. Keep up the good work TYT.
TYT! TOO STRONG!!! TOO STRONG!!!
Thank you mkluminous :)
I have a request.
Can we pretty please have a TYT forum?
It would be great for general conversation with like-minded people, and would be a perfect place for discussion of site issues, requests, notices, etc.
Doh!
Apparently this has already been discussed. Sorry.
We will have a Forum in mid/late February
Whoo Hoo! Thank you, Mark. Good news!
cenk is the only guy who can say “i really mean it” and i believe it^^
Thanks to everybody at TYT.
It’s good to know we’re heard.
thanks Cenk, that really means a lot.
Thanks Cenk! =)
Thanks for all the attention you have put into responding to us Mark.
And thanks to Cenk for also taking the time to explain things, transitions are hard, but the TYT Army stands behind you.
Keep up the great work.
You are welcome!
Thank you :)

How do you get your image on the reply… It’s a snap on facebook to grab a profile picture – How here?
Click on your nickname in the upper right-hand corner of your browser, on the Admin Bar, then click “Edit Profile”. It’s somewhere in there.
Oops! I spoke too soon. It appears that the image is loaded from your WordPress account, if you have one.
Thanks everyone that is working hard for the site! Always been good work.

“Coherence” should read “cohesion”. I seem to have lost coherence momentarily, but I’m better now.
I agree. Cenk has a great product, but he is terrible at general organization and delivery of that product.

Excellent suggestion.
I will use the top post on the site more often for updates.
Great to hear your response! thanks Mark : )
Love this guy, and everyone at TYT.
Love ya Cenk!

What The Flick has been up on YouTube for about a whole day and it’s still not on the Member page….
Network shows starting Monday will go up quickly.
Thank you. It is nice to feel heard.
Awr, all is awesome. Thanks for doing your thing, guys.
Thank ya, Cenk & Crew! we know you guys care, which is what we care about most :D
<3
I never really understood why so many people bitch. I just go to the Colbert when things aren’t up.
Nice job Mark Register, Cenk and the rest of the team. Good move. I think the verbal reasurrance will help.
Thank you :)
Thank you Cenk! Love you guys and TYT

Thanks Cenk! You guys are awesome :)
This is awesome. Thanks a lot for this.
awesome, this is why I got a membership
Thank you Cenk and thank you Mark.
You are welcome.
You guys should set up a member RSS feed for the videos. As a tribute to Aaron Swartz…
Love you Cenk!
Thanks Cenk.

Thank you for letting me know.
I noticed the same problem on mine.
I don’t have a solution but I am looking into it.
Love you man!
Love you guys!
Thanks Cenk :)

Forum? Aw hell yeah. Mark that like gets rid of 90% of people’s complaints.
That sounds like a dream come true.
if you are re doing stuff on the site I have a suggestion drop the flash player, make it so that you can play the videos on the site on iPad’s and iPhone’s etc
Good show
David
Noted thank you.
I am reading up on that and adaptive bit rate playback so it’s easier for all devices to get the content easier.
Yep. Adobe is even deprecating Flash on Android devices. Soon, Flash will disappear into history.

The first one is up now from 2006.
Cenk is awesome.
How can you not love that.
Nothing like hearing it from the big dog.
