Hour 1
Segment 1
Cenk hosting today. Videos of Bill O’Reilly and his guest trying to break down Gangnam Style. Videos of CNBC hosts grilling Rep Grijalva on his stance in favor of the Middle Class regarding taxes. After Republicans continue to deny they have something against women, the reality shows that their House Committee chairs have zero women holding them.

Segment 2
Republican Rep Ralph Hall spoke out against science and global warming in general. The new head of the Science Committee, Rep Lamar Smith is no better. Video of Think Progress reporters asking Democratic Rep Heath Shuler about his plans to become a lobbyist, which he consistently denied. He just signed up to become the top lobbyist for Duke Energy even though he’s not out of Congress just yet. We’ve been underestimating the danger of drones, as our Middle East enemies have access to drones as well. These could be game changing developments.

Segment 3
It turns out that younger voters (under 30) won the election for Obama. Cenk credits TYT with these voters. If these voters hadn’t turned out, Romney would’ve won 50-48. It looks like Social Security is coming off of the negotiating table.

  2. Regarding drones, I don’t think it’s possible to understate how much of a game changer tthey are. It’s a Pandora’s box that can never be closed. Once developed, they are inexpensive weapons within anybody’s budget. I’m amazed at the lack of foresight at the Pentagon. They’ve undermined they’re own power in a massive way.

  3. The whining about women not being leaders is weird and funny, as the idea of equality and fairness between men and women, were not the same were not equal, by nature ok men have some things women have some things. We have different capabilities in different areas.
Then fairness, you know who will cry the most when there is so called” fairness” ? Women will, you wanna do everything by the same standars as men ? wanna compete in same class ? im guessing no. Can men do jobs classified as a womans job – hell yea, how about the otherway ? Women have the first right in many many things, theyr given slack. If a man gets payd more than a woman for same job – that makes no sence of cooorse. Now bring the hate.

    1. I’m guessing you view spelling and grammar as a ‘woman’s job’? Try being more specific if you want to be less offensive. What kind of jobs are you referring to? Construction? Corporate leadership? ‘Geeky’, male-dominated enterprises like computer programming or mathematics?

    2. Hi. Several years ago I worked at a quick-stop oil change place, then went to a garage where I mounted tires and moved up to suspension repair. I freelanced for some time as a mechanic, and I now edit databases of vehicle information for a company that provides software for salvage yards.

Oh, and I’m a girl. In a southern state. Trust me, I did not get a lot of ‘slack’, as you say, for doing whats considered a mans job. Your comment doesn’t deserve hate, it’s too pathetic an attempt to provoke people. I hope my comment at least helps you ‘bring the hate’ a little more effectively with your next try. Good luck!

  4. hey folks, I have a question. I have heard Cenk say countless times that corporations have the legal responsibility to their shareholders to only care about the bottom line. He might’ve said fiduciary responsibility and I don’t exactly know what that means but I thought that he said a legal responsibility to act only in the interest of shareholders. I spoke to an economist and also an accountant and mentioned this as I took it as fact since Cenk has such a strong legal background. But they both told me that there’s no such legal requirement to the shareholders. Cenk makes this argument so many times and it seems so important to his critique of the way the system works, or doesn’t work, that I really would like to know where this issue lies. Is it true or not true. Does anyone remember exactly what Cenk says in this regard? I would really like to get to the bottom of this. Thanks. Oh, and one more thing what happened to the forms we used to have on the old website? This seems to be so much weaker, the system seems to me so much weaker than the forum we used to have is there any place that members are posting that I don’t know about? Thanks again.

    1. I don’t know exactly what’s the legal responsibility. But the system is set in such a way for corporations that if someone trades profit for a moral decision, they will be kicked out and someone else will come in their place. So it’s not that you *have* to act in the shareholders’ intrest, but if you don’t, you’re likely to get sacked. That’s what I’ve always understood as what Cenk is saying.

  5. I tell ya. I was a little bored of TYT and about to give up on life…but this whole thing with O’Reilly and PSY…perked me right up. Brightened my day.

Cenk was right, that was a gift from heaven.
