Ana was discomforted by the way Ben Rhodes worded the objective of protecting Israel from rocket fire, ignoring their part in triggering the fight. Video of Anderson Cooper being startled by a huge explosion while reporting in Israel. Stats gathered by CREW shows that 70% of retired generals take jobs as defense contractors or consultants. Potential of robots making the decisions on the battlefield; deciding who to kill.

Talk about relationships with robots to replace women. Jesus is on board, sexually. Very simple solutions for our Social Security “crisis” that President Obama doesn’t seem to be embracing. John notices that Obama’s tour of the country to push his progressive plan in opposition to Republicans is another indication that he’s in favor of it. Videos of Allen West talking about his concession to Patrick Murphy after fighting the results. Ana can see where he’s coming from in wanting a recount since the race was so close. Bill O’Reilly is hung up on the notion that Obama was reelected due to “stuff” that was promised to lazy minorities. Rand Paul’s interview with ABC about his stances on taxes and compromise after Obama’s reelection.

  1. Ana Ana Ana at 31:47 you said “…you have to listen to your voter and do what they asked you to do.” I just have one question….SINCE WHEN?!? Since when do democrats listen to their voters and do what their voters asked for??? Last time i checked we asked them to STOP COMPROMISING AND START BRINGING BOOTS TO REPUBLICAN ASSES!!!! (I’m not holding my breath on that one) Now the only one entertaining voices in this particular wilderness TYT, The Daily Show, Bill Mahar, Stephane Miller, and Ed Shultz Need to Keep up the HEAT and when Obama and Co. decide to show their COMPROMISED “Values” we need to Roast them like the turkeys we had over Thanksgiving! Keep Fighting the TYT Army is too DAMN STRONG!!!!!

  2. I’ve been a member for years now and am an avid supporter, but I would like to voice some complaints (sorry in advance) here since there seems to be nowhere else to do so. On this new website, is there now general forum? Why is there no “contact” tab? Perhaps I am just missing something.

    As far as the show is concerned….why so many breaks? This use to be a daily show. Now it’s 2 45 minutes segments with constant mention of time constraints and the need for breaks. I don’t get it. There’s no show coming on after you. Run long. No one will complain. You are a podcast and very few people actually recieve current, unfortunately.

    Last bit – why are the shows posted so late and often the next day? I use to work until the update, re-fresh my ipod, then go home or to the gym. Now, I have just given up.

    Months back, there was a liason that proclaimed he’d be dealing with issues but now he seems to be in hidiing. What’s up. Although I don’t expect a response, I would very much like one: bcsalzer@gmail.com.

      1. I feel he’s going corporate. The 3 hour show is now 1 hour plus 1 hour SC. If anything important happens don’t expect to hear from Cenk until the next day. The online show members come second to Current.

        I think this is basically it. If Current tanks or he loses his Current job I don’t think he can support a wife and 2 kids on the revenues from the show. I think the days when he would stand up to the corporate powers (MSNBC) are over. He’s got responsibilites now.

    2. Well said BCsalzer, the comments about running late absolutely drive me nuts….. You dont watch a clock when you love what you do, and they obviously USED TO love doing this show…

      Also well said about their current situation. I have current, but the current show isnt TYT, that shits mainstream, from talking like tv show robots, to commercial breaks. 100% mainstream. Nothing interesting has EVER been said on current that i was around to hear, so i’ll be damned if im gonna wait for the show to come on THEN and sit thru commercials.

      Pandora is out of the box, we demand the tyt of it’s hayday… with a host that cares enough to spare some of his freetime doing what he loves…

      Also, less hipsters, more wes clark and jimmy dore.

    FINALLY someone who really knows speaking the truth about the “policy coup” of Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld and others. Except he said it in 2007.

  6. Yes, thanks “young turks”, it isn’t just a one sides thing, there’s violence on both sides, 3 israelis were killed and over a hundred palestinians! That’s not one sides! The israelis are IMPRISONING the people they’re ATTACKING! That’s not one sides, because OCCASIONALLY the palestinians fire BACK at their MURDERERS! BOTH SIDES DO IT!!!!   7. I find it discouraging that even on the young turks, the real truth can’t be told about the israeli aggression against palestinians. The real truth is that israel is an ethnic state, a throwback to the 18th century, which bases citizenship on ethnicity, and it is a political abomination in the modern age. Israel has been massacring and ethnically cleansing palestinians since before it was founded, and they constantly attack gaza and kill civilians, and the most you can say is that “both sides do it”?! No. That’s not good enough. YOU CANNOT SAY THAT BOTH JEWS AND NAZIS ARE AT FAULT, AND YOU CAN’T SAY THAT BOTH THE IDF AND THEIR PALESTINIAN VICTIMS ARE AT FAULT! You must tell the truth about this issue, it is a CENTRAL issue in our world today, and without facing it, you can’t really have any credibility on ANY issue of substance. Let’s be clear, you can’t complain about fascism if you support the holocaust, or even if you make excuses for the aggressors. Anyone who does not tell the truth about this issue NOW will be irrelevant at the very best in the future…

    1. Listen to Cenk’s commentary from last week. The Young Turks are very clear about the disproportionate attacks Israel has been waging on Palestine.

  8. Ana should watch Battlestar Galactica to be more open-minded about robots. She still thinks of robots like C3PO, but John is talking about perfected robots with capable AI.

    If it goes as far as the Cylons in the reimagined BSG series, I don’t know if you wouldn’t become discriminatory (or anti-synthetic, or whatever) if you would think that they are lesser, which in any way they wouldn’t be.

    What is a human “feeling” or “intelligence” but a bunch of electrical signals in a complex machine called the brain? Can you really rationalize that feelings and intelligence that come from electrical currents from a synthetic “brain” are lesser than ones from a biological brain, if the results are the same?

    It all goes back to questions of “what is alive” and “what is human”, and it might seem funny now, but in John’s arguments, the robots would be advanced and complex enough to be lifelike, in which case we should be asking those questions.

    And the Animatrix tells that the war between man and machine broke out because people thought like Ana and didn’t recognize the machines as a nation. Do you want to start a war, Ana? DO YOU?

    1. Ana SHOULD watch BSG. Maybe Cenk will talk her into it. FYI, Battlestar Galactica is on Netflix (I think), but it is ALSO on Amazon Prime Video!
