Cenk hosting today. Video of the RNC’s ad that claims Obama has a war on women based on words Bill Maher has used. Video of Erin Burnett calling it down the middle; that its all politics, neither Party has a war on women. Cenk is annoyed that CNN always has to call it down the middle. Video of Bret Baier claiming that despite a new book that says Obama blamed Fox for many people believing he’s Muslim, no Fox host has ever called him a Muslim. Videos of Doocy and Hannity suggesting that Obama is a Muslim without saying it outright. Secret names for candidates Santorum and Romney. Video of crazed Pastor Terry claiming that America is a Christian nation and if people don’t like it, they should leave. Terry also said the Christian Church should be the conscience of the nation as Rick Santorum applauded. VP Joe Biden said that the plan to kill bin Laden was the most audacious plan in 500 years of foreign policy. Cenk thinks these assertions were foolish to say. Jayar doesn’t think these assertions are such a big deal, he’s just being hyperbolic.
Segment 2
President Obama’s negotiations with Repubs on the Grand Bargain. They offered him $800 billion in exchange for tax cuts for the rich. The $800 billion actually doesn’t exist for the rest of the country after several tricks are pulled to result in NO tax increase. Cenk concludes that Obama’s desire to go along with this proves yet again that he’s not progressive. The Boehner/Obama golf summit succeeded in getting Obama to go Boehner’s way, not the other way around.
